Ryan rolls around restlessly in the king sized bed he bought for the basement of his parents’ house. Though he knows he should sleep, he doesn’t feel tired at all. A thought is slowly forming in his brain but disperses just before it can be materialized.
“Fine, no sleep!” Ryan rolls off the bed and yells. ‘I’ve got things to do, people to find, and skills to buy,’ He thinks, and the final piece of the puzzle is put together.

Ryan adds the skill to his shop, then buys ten levels. In his mind, Ryan has a general direction for his parents. Somewhere to the southeast, he’s sure they’re still alive. After putting on his equipment and stepping out the front door, Ryan takes to the sky toward the Detroit River.
As Ryan flies, he passes by six giants. They are all in a group, sitting on the tops of buildings in a small shopping center. All around the giants, brutes and regular zombies gather in groups of hundreds.
‘They’re getting organized,’ Ryan thinks as he passes overhead. The way the zombies attacked in waves during the night showed the zombies had some tactical awareness, but the gathering around the giants was like the forming of an army.

Further southeast, off the coast and on the small island of Grassy, Ryan can see the flames from several fires burning. These fires go around almost the entire island, and people stand behind them with spears in their hands.
Ryan’s Locate skill points him to the southwest corner of the island, and Ryan touches down at the halfway mark between the north and south side.
“What the hell,” A spear-wielding individual says when they see Ryan standing behind them. He and a few others heard Ryan’s feet hitting the ground, and they aren’t certain if he’s a human with a special class or a zombie that can fly.
“Hello,” Ryan says with his rifle slung behind his back and his hands in the air. “I’m looking for Douglas and Rachael, I’m their son.”
“Then, they’ll be happy to see you,” Says a man as he comes forward. In addition to the spear in his right hand, the man also has a gun on his hip, but it’s a flair gun. “They’re down that way a little bit.”
“Alright,” Ryan says and walks in the direction the man pointed. The direction indicated by the skill Locate is pointing Ryan in the same direction, so he’d not worried about being misdirected. At least, the people on this island seem friendlier than those in The Sanctuary.
Ryan continues to walk down the coast, occasionally past more defenders who point him in the right direction. After a few more minutes, Ryan reaches earshot of his parents.
“Hey, Doug, Rachael, there’s a Ryan over here to see you!” A man with a wooden spear calls out, and two heads turn to face him. Ryan instantly recognizes the faces as those of his parents.
