Time felt like it stopped when Gill took a seat facing Luke in Vanera's coffee shop corner, the man had an intimidating aura despite his lazy and messy looks.

"Thanks for the milk hot chick, you were fast with it." Said Gill with an uncaring tone, which Karen didn't like at all.

"It's just a cup of cold milk, i just poured it, and don't call me that, i have a name and it's Karen."

"Oh, hot chick have some anger issues i see, go take some other order or something, i have some stuff to settle and discuss with mr. grumpy here."

"Who do you think you are to talk to me like that?!"

"A client you served, now get lost."

Luke felt like it's time to interfere and stop this going nowhere exchange.

"Karen, let me handle this."

"Humph, whatever." She then turned to take the other orders from the rest of the clients.

"Now that my friend is gone, who are you again and why are you looking for me."

Gill chuckled and said:"Quite bold of you to ask me questions, Kiddo, I am the one doing the asking here, you met a little gremlin called Helena right?"

"I did."

"That little gremlin told me she met a grumpy guy while she was on some quest i gave her, and that guy just unlocked seeing spitits ability and don't know shit about it."

"That's true, i am still trying to understand how would such an ability just be unlocked suddenly and randomly, like i just didn't see anything last week, and now i seem to notice all kind of spirits and ghosts passing by or floating while i'm on my everyday business, i wish all of this was just a bad dream."

"Oh, so Kiddo just want to lose his heaven gifted ability like nothing happened, what a boring brat you are, i don't even see why Helena talked about you in such high esteem, she said you have great potential, but you seem just a coward not wanting to get out of his comfort zone."

"Enough insults in my face, what do you want."

"I have a deal to offer you for now since you want a solution to your seeing ghosts ability."

Once Gill said that, he took from his pockets a pair of glasses, all round with black frames, they seemed of good quality and the frame was quite durable.

"Now Kiddo listen, those are glasses that can mask your ability while you wear them, i can lend them to you if you are interested."

"Do they really work?"

"Yes they do."

"What's your deal then?"

"Now we're talking, so Kiddo ,our family, the Shovelfields, are known as Spirit Facilitators, we send lost roaming spirits to the otherside, ways to do that differ, you'll get to know them with time, and you witnessed one of the ways, fulfilling the ghost last remaining will so he can pass with satisfaction."

"And?"

"And this work never ends, do you know how much spirits are there!? They just be appearing day after day, no problem with normal spirits, but the real pain in the ass are the vengeful or just evil spirits, you'll need more than friendship power to send those fuckers."

Gill stopped, sipped milk and resumed his talk:"and the deal is Kiddo, if you want those glasses, i have a little easy job for you, i want you to send a certain spirit to the otherside, the way to do that is yours to decide."

"I want this dream to end, i'll take this job, it's not dangerous? If it's something like sending the cats i guess i can do it."

Luke knew that was a lie, but couldn't refuse to try his chance with whatever this job is, he needed those glasses.

"Some past night i did some little walk at the out of service old hospital, i dealt with all the annoying stuff and left only one spirit for Helena to deal with, but Helena refused to continue my work, saying that i shouldn't leave my work unresumed, and i want you to send that one to the otherside."

"Since you are an expert at what you're doing, why didn't you send it while you were there."

"Unlike Helena, my method with spirits is quite forceful, i just send them by force, or just eradicate the chaotic ones."

"Eradicate?!"

"Some spirits turn into demons when having vengeful wills, and they can't turn back to their normal states, you just supress them."

"How can you touch ghosts?! Helena told me if the ghost don't want you to touch him you just can't, i remember petting the cats cause they allowed me to."

"By using special items that can contact both material and spirit realm, we call them S-Items, short for Spirit Items, don't overwhelm yourself with such informations since you just want to have no link with spirits as you said."

"Yes, so i suppose the spirit you want me to send is a normal roaming one like the cats?"

"The difference is, the spirit now is of a human, a middle aged man called Piston Joe who died of a sudden heart attack and have a certain will of his own, go visit him at the hospital and ask him about it, he's in room 171-942, once you're done i'll know about it and come to visit you here to give you your reward."

"Okey then."

"Then it's done here, time for me to get back home and sleep a bit, i didn't sleep in nights! Oh and before i forgot, take those, you'll need em."

Gill put a pair of boxing gloves on the table and got out of the coffee shop while looks of other customers followed him all the way out.

"What the hell, what i'm supposed to do with those again."

Then, Karen got close of Luke after seeing that his guest got out.

"Your friend have no manners Luke!"

"He's no friend of mine, but i guess i can befriend him for making you quit calling me mister for once."

"Haha funny, by the way, he got out without paying his order, so i'll put it on your tab since you were with him."

"Damn, he got me."
