75. Long After Death

75. Long After Death

I know the world will spin on without me

it never stops for anyone, not even thee.

Yet what I fear most is being forgotten,

an existence erased, thy legacy rotten.

I've left my mark, but shall it endure?

Will it fade away, of this I’m not sure.

For I have loved, lost, laughed, and cried,

but will thy memory, in others reside?

I leave behind a world that won't miss me,

But it’s this writers hope someone will see

the good I've done and the love I've shared

and that efforts were made because I cared.

And though my time here was but a breath,

thy will hopefully be recalled long after death.
