48. Haunted Nights

48. Haunted Nights

When each night arrives, dreams haunt

remembering a past no one can change.

The mind is relentless with each flaunt

faces never seem to fade or turn strange.

I want to eventually move on, I really do

As my brain can be stubborn as myself.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

It just refuses to let even one memory go

maybe moved to storage on a high shelf.

Bad thoughts seem to linger on for days

while positive moments are gone in a flash.

A mind can mess you up in so many ways

that all you want is to make a mad dash.

In the end, looking back doesn’t help anyone

just let go of this drama and try to have fun!
