It took one week for planning to re-infiltrate the Kafka's circus premises without having the troupe finding out, this time they all wear special disguises that were hiding their original appearances. They even gathered some devices with stealth technique that involves themselves from getting noticed by the security. Sonata was curious about Lloyd's past, with Lloyd hiding some of his past from many people he trusted--something didn't seem right... there were a few things Alastair had in mind regarding the Mail-Hunter; other than knowing his birthday and date.
The Vice Postmaster-General would never become the Postmaster-General because he don't deserve to be the one with rank, moreover if the Prime Minister candidates are involved. He looked at Lloyd who was staring off into space, while their surroundings were calming around him with everyone doing their job.
"So it is true, he has suffered more than I could ever imagined."
Senja quietly mutters after surveying the whole place, trying to find what should they look for and they all discussed what they found on the very first infiltration. "Well well well, look what we got here," Gerard stated out, grinning as he was staring at Senja which stopped him from walking.
Senja grunted to pull away, before all of the troupe members stopped them--before a familiar laughing noise coming from the circus leader came about. "What is this? Some kind of stowaways from that dumb Mail-Hunters? It'll be a great show for me, Senjaya Christiadjie."
Gerard heard a snort from him, standing there with a stoic expression and his face held dignity. Senja turn around with a soft sigh, before he smirked. "Hey, are you talking to me or to the Vice Postmaster-General," he stated smoothly, a pride smile. Gerard got distracted for a moment as Senja stepped away a bit, eyes directed to a specific clown that was staring at him suspiciously. "What's your purpose in Welkin city?" he questioned, Gerard was a bit annoyed due to him being interrogated by the Coordinator-General of National Postal Service. "Me? Why am I just a mere entertainer, but my purpose isn't related to any of those people, mind you. While these people are performing on their little fun show, us clowns are dealing some important jobs like anyone else," he chuckled.
"How about the missing children?"
He froze when Senja added a final line. Gerard's body became tense and a flash of rage gleamed behind his eye glasses, a fury slowly rising within him. Gerard couldn't help, but let out a demented laugh at Senja; as he was holding onto his stomach that was aching. "The missing children? Don't try that ploy, you'll only embarrass yourself. See now, you think you're clever enough to play with the big boys... but if that's so, then tell me what's all of this about?"
Gerard's question interrupted when Senja aimed his Automotive Gear weapon that was a rifle at him, making him realized that he was messing with the Master and everyone have a bad aura. The troupe members that were beside him were nervous, sweat breaking out on their brow. "Someone told me that I am a hero, and he likes me. Such a noble sentiment, don't you agree? As much as I'd love to stand around and chit chat," he fired at Gerard, but thanks to Gerard's reflexes and his circus clown partner Remy dodged the bullets from Senja's guns as they tried to evade the bullets when the masked enemy came out from the dark alley of the circus tents. Senja and Mathilda were battling against them using their Automotive Gears with a bit of struggle.
Suiren let out a soft sigh, before he transformed into a Spring Serpent in front of the other troupe members--the large sea serpent was scaring them, its jaws opened and the water suddenly became calm; they all ran and scattered around as the troupe members grabbed the children and put them in the wagon to evacuate the victims. Senja was about to come in, but a trap is set and Gerard managed to injure his left arm. "Haha! Take this!" he yelled, he was about to attack Senja until he felt a huge torrent of spring water blasted from the Spring Serpent's mouth. They both cough and sputtered as they've been drown in the strong currents, before Suiren turned herself back and helping Senja up. "Thank goodness you're okay, Senja."
Senja laughed painfully, feeling himself drenched by the spring water. He was sopping wet, clinging to his clothes that might catch a cold after battle. Gerard was shocked at the legendary Spring Serpent who just got manifested; another thing struck his mind... somehow these newcomers appeared as if they weren't from Canaria, their real identities were completely exposed and their superiors doesn't seem to realize their intentions.
Meanwhile, Claire and Gabriel was fighting against Zofia and Rejik, with Xinglan and Amaris covering them by shooting Abner and Lutz; avoiding the dangerous weapons they're holding. Then, there's Sonata and Suona fighting against Carlotta and Saphirian--while the carnival was still distracted with the fun thing they're playing, before their screams and panic alerts the attendees that something was happening within the circus. There were a lot of other Emissaries, but Sonata and her team managed to make chaos caused by Gerard's sudden action--destroyed one of the tents, revealing the dead corpses (which most of them were turned into Husk), bones, organs and scattered like candy-corn all around in the circus tents.
They froze after their eyes glancing at the terrible sight, but everyone's still trying to finish their missions by distracting them--Sonata take the chance and knocked out some of their subordinates, before running towards the other main tent with the other Emissaries. The leader was standing there in the tent, watching from the podium-like platform in the middle of the circus ring with an annoying smirk, his dark yet glowing blue eyes observed every single detail of the situation. "How awful, when will they realize something like this happened?" he spoke with a degrading taunt, mocking the Mail-Hunters like they were enemies.
"Let me introduce myself... everyone called me Kafka the Grand Ringmaster," he introduced himself with a smirk as he chuckled. "We've all met up at the central tent with some clowns causing your poor little team as a distraction. Now is the time to expose our existence, instead of keep ourselves hidden--I know why you're so dumbstruck--being betrayed by your own own mentor and friend."
"Our purpose is to overthrow the government, even though the leader hasn't been elected yet... we're not going to stop until Canaria will be reformed," he laughed as it was quite evident from his vile red and orange-colored coat he wore for a show. "And who else can do the good jobs, but I have someone who's willing to take his responsibilities and role as the next leader. So, I will be the 'next leader' in the government after this. I wonder, which Prime Minister candidate is actually working with me--I believed in you all, keep protecting everyone while I'm having so much fun at this festival," he stated, Sonata was irritated by this point that she charged towards Kafka to give him a fatal blow.
Sonata listens as she took a hold of her Nocturne's Chopin Op. 20 on her hand, gripping it before she huffed. "Is that so, let's see what you got... dinosaur-looking jerk!"
Kafka paused, hearing one of them insulting him that it stopped him by giving commands; making his eyes stared at Sonata in the eyes--while Suona has arrived but remained hidden from their sight. "W-What did you just..." he mumbled, this infuriated him. Sonata was insulting him, nobody has EVER insulted him (just in her view) as a powerful monster in a circus and how Kafka seem like he was a mad-looking creature, it sends him boiling. "Dino-looking...? What did you say...?"
He's seen some weird stuff, but when you live inside the carnival--it makes her a very scary. To other people, Kafka was just an ordinary man living in a shady occupation. Not that he wouldn't fit in their society, but they doubt most of the folks would want their child seeing him walking about.
"Yes, because your tail looks like one! Is there anything WRONG?!"
Sonata boldly remarked as she slashed her sword part of her gunblade at him, but the blade missed him and successfully striking the stage floor, Suona flicked the strings of the guzheng which is her Spring Snow Suite, Symphony No. 40 in G Minor--converting the notes and melodies into a wave blast towards Kafka and his comrades. The scene suddenly shattered into pieces when Sonata slashed her blade and the bullets that Suona has shot rapidly across the room like a knife through the butter, it flew and sliced through him and slammed to the other side of the huge circus tent.
Kafka laughed maniacally, before his eyes glowing in gold color with scales starting to cover his neck and right cheek--his teeth also seemed sharpened along with his nails. His laughter was hysterical and not even the fear was seen on his face, he was laughing when an average person would've taken Sonata's gesture that she won't enjoy living in an aquarium or caged animal zoo. "That is rather impressive, your technique is quite destructive--such raw talent and potential you have... oh? I thought that you--would be trapped along with those useless Husk, but I never would've thought..."
"Oh yeah? How about cutting your OWN tail?"
Sonata retorted, before she saw him launching his dino-tail at her and she swung the blade--cutting the huge tail without a sweat; and it was the most hilarious moment she ever witnessed, making his dino-tail growing back; creating many tails that almost gave her a bad wound on her arms.
Kafka felt insulted for the first time, ever since the moment; he have dealt on many troubles with his fellow acquaintances and colleagues. "Ahahaha, did I hurt your precious feelings? Well then, you would make a nice friend for my pet dinosaur--" he paused when Sonata kicked his face, this annoys him enough. 'Impulsive little brat,' he snarled internally. "Don't joke about like that!" he then added, trying to not let him got close enough but to stab him with a spear from her Automotive Gear and successfully got his shoulder, before giving him a light kicks which managed to knock him down.
Not after he suddenly turned into one of the lizard-dragon people which just surprised Sonata even more. "Is this the end? Oh, it is..." she said casually, smiling before she nodded at Suona. "I'll leave that to you," she laughed nervously as she just escaped herself--gaining Kafka's irritation once again. Suona played her guzheng once more, her fingers moving freely--giving her enough powers to play a tune for a special power before Kafka managed to regain consciousness and noticed a sudden growth of thorn bushes emerged out of nowhere; trapping him between the vines and stems that clung to his whole body.
"But with us! There's no doubt the government will succumb to us, we'll eradicate all of these stupid criminals who wants to try their chances and freeing themselves from their cells!"
They were tired of him, knowing that he's going to transform into his 'true form'.
Meanwhile, Alastair was dealing with the Scientist who created a steampunk mechanical robots towards him and Solvine was dealing with the Marionetteer who controls his puppets on the other side. Suiren had to deal with the Husks who broke free as he fought together with Oswald, Senja and Mathilda. There was Cordelia and Gilbert securing the area away from public, the Prime Minister candidates were trying to escape from them until the Mail-Hunter Armed Enforcement Squad appeared in front of them. "Hold it right there, folks! What are you guys doing here?!"
Gilbert questioned, while Alois answered. "We want leave this place, it feels uncomfortable here!" Maximilian agreed as he was about to escape, until the soldiers stopped them and the half of them finally broke free. The other candidates went to the Stardust Station, only to be interrupted by the crew and both Xingfa and Zhilan who stood there with their subordinates. "Oh dear, I wonder who we got here? Can you tell us why are you not campaigning?" he asked with a smile and eyes closed, causing Gustavo, Erich and Avila gulped that they have to remained in Welkin until the disaster is over.
Oswald took a deep breath as he couldn't believe he had to unleash his own Automotive Gear weapon--Waltzes, Op. 64, he summoned them from his cane, the Crescendo-type weapon transformed into a prototype rifle that has similar instrument of a bassoon--with a yellow-orange colored Melodic Amber with a symbol of hourglass. The weapon utilizes Melodic Amber rounds for ammunition, and appears that it produces supersonic force and energy akin to sound waves and vibration based on the bassoon's range and high tune to create a powerful wave-like assault. The blast has a sand-like elements despite it unleashing powerful sound wave and frequencies, the particles that being released were like tiny metal-like sands which seems beautiful to look.
Oswald noticed some of the Husks are going to ambush him, so he rose his weapon and pressed the trigger--creating an ultra powerful supersonic soundwave burst. The moment of surprise of his weapon's capacity soon made him grin slightly, looking back at Alastair to show off before he moved in on one direction.
Alastair witnessed an army of mechanical dolls along with the Scientist who created them, he aimed his Automotive Gear gunlance--Canon and Gigue in D Major, T. 377 towards them and blasted a powerful shockwave towards his direction. The three subordinates were frozen, staring at the beautiful sight of the blast before Alastair smirked. "Don't mess with the powerful weapon that no Emissaries can't get a hold on, watch and learn," he added, before he swung the Gigue blade that creates another soundwave as an afterwave--before a robotic arm flew past their cheek, the three men quickly realized that things were getting out of control.
"Not sure what's going on, but hey at least this situation is no longer tense, right?"
They were sputtered and coughing, choking on a small speck dusts that the bassoon's shockwave unleash. The Husks, the Circus-Troupe members, Marionetteer and Scientist were confused of the new enemies that just came by and decided to prepare themselves. Solvine encountered another puppets as he unleashed his Automotive Gear gunblade--Cantabile's Caprice Op. 17 towards the Marionetteer, he was swinging his blade as a Swordmaster while firing his silver-colored blasts against him which the opponent avoid, using his puppets to stop the bullet. But, the Deputy Postmaster-General was moving so fast that Solvine was a difficult opponent to him, before seeing a huge slash from his sword as a fencing master cut down some of his puppets.
The Marionetteer tried to hit him with his daggers, but he has to use another puppet to handle it as it defended his attacks with its limbs before pulling its arm for attack. "Why are you afraid?" Solvine questioned, with his voice sounding cold, monotone and calm; it was enough to strike fear into his puppet as he uses his free hand to control the strings, leading the severed limbs and body parts of the demolished puppets rising into the air. "Winter Wolf... you're..." the Marionetteer whispered, he continued. "The sole master of puppets... but today--you're no match for me."
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Just as the Marionetteer was about to trap him between the strings and the puppets, Alastair appeared on the scene by joining into the fight as a Lancemaster and unleashed a powerful high-tuned blast from his blade, taking out some of the Marionetteer's puppets effortlessly and he look back at his colleague. "Saving your ass again?" he questioned with a smirk, he knew that Solvine didn't see his own shadow--almost like on his PTSD was about to strike.
Solvine close his eyes with a sigh, he retorted at him. "You're going to be a big help to me if you wanted that, Alastair... just wait until I can repay you someday," Solvine muttered, a flash of surprise appeared from the sudden snark reply. Alastair rose a brow and chuckled softly, their foe scowled and grumbled softly.
"The strongest Emissary... and the legendary Winter Wolf... working together...! What's this?!"
He rasped angrily, yet was confused that how could he failed to trap him. Solvine chuckled, smirking before he pressed the trigger--his gunblade unleashed another powerful sonic boom and the sounds waves formed into a powerful whip, sending the puppet towards the Marionetteer and making them knocked out. Solvine nodded with a satisfied grin before he and Alastair was trying to find the missing Prime Minister candidates.
Chase was sitting on the motorbike that Vincent was steering, passing through the fighting jesters against the Enforcement Division soldiers as they rode and searched other missing children who were hidden from their sight. So, they have to pass through the tents and searched for the secret passage that lead them to the orphans.
"Did you see any other kids?"
"Afraid not..."
They ran through a horde of clowns while Vincent is steering his vintage motorbike as if nothing had happened. His reflexes are incredible, knowing what was happening behind his back. "Postmaster-General will no doubt show up again, because Alastair is already handling him for information, he'll come and collect the Prime Minister candidates away from the carnival and I think we're on the same boat," Chase whispered, getting a bit tense on the situation.
As the postmen raced at maximum speed with the other road accident occurred along the way which all the troupe's vehicle is chasing them along the tracks; with the exception of the black carriage who was in the front which carried some of the subordinates (namely the Marionetteer, the Scientist, and Drakenheim) away from the battle. Chase take out his Automotive Gear weapon; Partita No. 3--a Diminuendo-type weapon that took form of flintlock-railgun and a form similar to contrabassoon with an aventurine-colored Melodic Amber and a symbol of flower and gravel. The weapon optimizes on different frequencies from the contrabassoon instrument, in order to fire blasts of shockwave, projectiles and powerful after waves from its long gun's barrel, making it become similar of a rapid-fire machine-gun; creating rapid-fire bolts that contain a sharp, cutting metal gravels within it.
Vincent kept himself focus, steering his vintage motorbike with extreme speed not to crash into the wagon before seeing the circus clowns tried to attack them. "Can you increase the top-speed of this machine-thingy?! Hey, a little more to the left!" Chase screamed while riding, both his right hand were loading his weapon and loading 98 shots with more to go. This was one of the hardest moments in life, the speed of the vintage motorbike was charged with Melodic Scores and DOESN'T rely on the oil (and all because of Chase's mechanical skills, with help from a few selected Enforcement Divisions)--while dashing with extreme speed. With enough effort and concentration, Chase has managed to shot down the vehicle that chasing against him in a speed that rival the fastest cars from the speed of light.
Gerard was already beaten up as he tried to flee from the scene with Remy on his back, staring with bloodshot eyes as they saw Vincent's motorbike slammed on his shoulder; causing him to crash from the sharp turn and Remy got shot by Chase's Diminuendo Blasts--leaving him to lay there as Gerard lay a distance with Vincent's foot pinning his left shoulder against the ground. All the trouble has been done, and they'll be waiting for Senja and his other associates on the pickup location.
Meanwhile...
Lloyd was observing the carnival from the distance in the balcony of his mansion, his grayish messy short hair with a tint of purple that almost reaching his shoulders became messy and bangs almost covering his purple eyes, cheeks and his frameless glasses that he wore--his alabaster complexion remained the same as ever. He still wears his formal attire but with a blanket over his shoulders, he still unable to get over his sickening past and some of the Mail-Hunters who discovered about his past--he felt like he let them down just because of what he went through.
His secret past is dark and was suppressed for many years, with all of those lives... betrayed by those evil people have been his only strength and he had killed every criminal that invaded his abode. His friends and ended with his enemies' families, killing them to the point he went mad and killing them all--just to protect his noble family. He just can't handle that past that he had to repressed, and some of the remaining members of his family is... dead. He only has his two younger siblings, Largo and Layla Warren, even their mother survived and still a matriarch of Warren Family. He has been a backbone for his only siblings from that darkest times, waiting until they grow up and ensuring their safety.
"Master Lloyd!"
Lloyd sensed Sonata's voice rang inside his head, he turn around to look at her. "Yeah...?" he asked in a soft and innocent tone, his smile looked sweet and kind but Sonata knows there's something else inside his head. She hated how he managed to hide his feelings deep inside him even though it hurts him, Lloyd always seemed like he's calm, collect and organized and his mysterious past will be there to taunt him.
"Master Lloyd, we need you! Those lunatics that started a weird festival is planning something major to kill you."
Upon hearing that, Lloyd's heart tightened and his muscles tensed. "Kill...? Don't get me wrong, but why would they want to kill someone like me...? What do they want to accomplish from me by killing me?" he questioned with a monotone voice, asking with confusion yet he felt his tears rose inside him that almost falling on his eyes.
"They want to rule Canaria, they want to kill many children and make the innocents suffer by kidnapping them and all because you'll be the next leader and take the rein of Canaria as their new government. Those thieves can't be trusted, and Master Lloyd... you seem so sad lately, are you okay?"
Sonata asked, while she's busy fighting against Kafka while Suona fighting together with her--while using her ability as a Child of Light to communicate with him telepathically.
Lloyd hesitated a little, he placed his right palm on his chest and his left hand being relaxed to hold onto his blanket as if it is his life. He never felt his heart had a heavy burden, a lot of people needed him to protect them from the evil hands and someone wants to betray them. His friends are suffering from all of these sudden chaos, how they had to hide their own conflicts from him and he can't even trust some of the members.
Who is behind the most horrifying day of his life...?
"Master Lloyd...? Hello...?"
"Yes, Sonata, I heard you perfectly clear," he then sighed. He knows that feeling is fear, he was scared that they will think of him differently when they learned of his past--but why Sonata is calling for him? Then, she continued in his mind. "Master Lloyd... I know you're not on duty... I don't know what reason, but please... I don't know if you knows this but... nobody has a perfect past, and there is no way you'd understand why. Believe in us, everyone needs you and we trust you. I trust you, and if things went worse--you can catch up on us in the carnival," she explained to him. "Even if you dismissed someday from your position, you're still our hope and we'll join you no matter where you go."
He didn't know why, but he decided to chuckle. "I see... thank you," he smiled, he cannot contain his feelings any longer--but before he fell completely, he remembered his late-mother's last gift when he saw the bonsai on his desk. He grabbed the cane on his hand, before his somber expression becoming determined--the blanket fell off from him as he began to get dressed in his usual formal white shirt, black-purple vest, light green long tie that tied in loose bowtie, dark purple pants tucked into his black knee-length boots and dark purple inverness cape--he put on his dark purple deerstalker on his head. "I guess it's time, my friends and Sonata... I can never deny you all from fulfilling your duties..." he muttered, activated his Etude Op. 10, No. 3 from his cane.
Back in the battle...
Sonata was shocked to see Kafka has infused himself with the Husk, transforming him into a large Husk-like creature that took form of a jewel wasp with a dark red, scale-skinned body covered in dark green-colored scales that resembles a mixture of a beetle and a spider with ten legs along with a deformed head and tail, and nine pair of dark yellow diamond-shaped spikes on the back of the body--wielding the large claws in front of them. "Oh crap, this isn't good..." Suona said, before she froze when she saw a huge powerful explosive projectile coming past them and crushed the shells of the beast.
It was Lloyd who shot them as a Gunmaster, he stood on the tip of the power pole with his weapon aimed at the beast. His eyes were closed and slowly opened when the smoke subsided, showing his serious face as his cape flapped, blowing away from the wind and making him a cooler sight. "I've made it in time, everyone," he said calmly and reassuring, before he shrieked when he almost lost his balance and now he regained himself on the power pole--huffing in relief before Alastair yelled. "You idiot! We've been waiting for you and you're making me having a hard time taking over your damn position as a Postmaster-General in your absence!" he snapped, glaring at the gray-purple haired male.
Lloyd chuckled, being amused by his colleague's scoldings. "I've received something important that I will hand over," he told, before he turned his gaze at a random direction as he saw the same enemies standing on the top of the building and had a serious look on his face. "Alastair and Solvine," he called them which made Alastair turned his direction towards Lloyd, ignoring the angry beast that was in front of them. "I leave this matter to both of you, don't kill the troupe members yet--and don't let those candidates escaped," he stated firmly with pride, before he got distracted when the beast ran towards Alastair and Solvine with its powerful legs.
Sonata blasted her gunblade as the blue and white pastel-like blast of shockwave plunged the beast's body and causing it to knocked out. Suona fired her shots from the guzheng--creating several melodies that contains supersonic acoustic resonance from her Automotive Gear. "Do it now, Master Lloyd! Let us deliver them the important mission along with the candidates!" both Sonata and Suona shouted in union, Lloyd nodded as he aimed his weapon. "Everyone, let us deliver our messages," he smirked, before he let out a soft whistle and he began to recharge his Automotive Gear. "Automotive Gear, ensemble."
There was a yellow ring of light appeared in front of him, before it glowed and created an enormous powerful shockwave. Every opponents within that radius was exploded within the powerful current as the waves created a strange glass-like magic circle that formed into a dome that they started to burn. Sonata and Suona were running like a speed of sound, all of the Emissaries had to flee from the scene while leaving the jesters to their own fates.
Lloyd pressed the trigger after he chanting the word 'Requiem', closing his eyes and activated his Automotive Gears' power. "As you wish, a true performer always have their songs been their last," he replied simply as he presses the trigger, firing dozens and hundred of explosive shells and powerful acoustic resound; making the area exploded. All of the flames and rubbles were getting into their souls, some of the Troupe members and Husks were defeated, screaming for their lives as their fates were about to get worse.
Sonata reunited with Claire and Gabriel as they finished with the troupe members, Suona also reunited with Xinglan and Amaris as they gathered around--despite their injured state. "Our job is not to defeat the circus, but to contain the situation and protecting the Prime Minister candidates and their associates as long as possible," Vincent stated, coughing a little as he stood with Chase after they gathered the missing orphans. "We found them in the basement," he added, Oswald helped Senja as Mathilda just arrived by sneaking past the enemies and just found them.
Lloyd was about to tell Sonata about his concern, but before that--he had an urge to suddenly take out his inhaler to breathe because of his asthma attack, despite his efforts he is happy that all his friends are safe. "Well, he seems a little overwhelmed by it but he knows that we're friends. Now, everyone... regroup immediately."
The postmen vanished, evacuating the area and keeping the troublesome ones being calm enough until the battle has ended. Lloyd began to breathe normally, he coughed a little as he put back his inhaler in his pocket. "Are you okay, Master Lloyd?" Sonata asked worriedly, the sixteen-years old girl watched him anxiously and patted his back gently. Lloyd nodded as he tries to stand normally, he gazed his purple eyes at the large building before him. "Yes, Sonata, I'm okay. I'm sorry for worrying all of you for my unannounced disappearance from the station, I have to take care of something as important as it is and will be a burden to all of you," he answered, before he smiled. "Let's go back, okay?"
"Okay!"
When he was about to go past her, he accidentally stomped on Sonata's white wolf tail that made her yelled out in pain which caused the other Mail-Hunters were shocked. Everyone has been startled at his actions, except Chase (who's trying not to laugh) and the other candidates and Prime Minister candidates (who were staring at them in confusion of the situation). "Sonata! Are you okay?!" Claire yelled, seeing her laying on the side--holding her reddened tail that it had red streaks of blood came out from the skin. Gabriel nodded at her as they approached the poor girl who had to endure the pain, while Sonata replied. "I-I forgive you, Master Lloyd... it's just a stomp... after all..."
Lloyd laughed clumsily before Alastair glaring at him and Solvine also glaring at him because he stomped his daughter's tail. Suona was checking on her while Xinglan shake his head and Amaris began to facepalm, looking away from them.
Lloyd was guilty and awkward, seeing him having a panicked state with a clumsy smile. "W-What the--! Don't stare like that at me, this was unintentional, Alastair!" he shrieked comically when they were suspicious of the fact that he stomping on Sonata's white wolf tail and the fact he's always clumsy than them. "I guess I have to flick your kidneys to check on what you have inside your stomach, to see if you ate the food while at work," the white-haired male grumbled, making a big threat in order to protect the little wolf-girl.
"OKAY OKAY! I'LL BUY YOU GUYS SOMETHING FROM THE SHOP AGAIN! CHILL!"
Everyone were silent and thought to themselves. 'But... we didn't ask you anything...?' they mentally remarked, watching Lloyd laughed loosely as his glasses shone comically. He was being scolded by his own subordinate Alastair and Oswald was facepalming--Solvine stood there as he waited until they go back and handle the whole mess.
Few hours later...
The trial has just begun but Lloyd choose not to attend Kafka's trial, he was too lazy and he decided to help the others with their post delivery even when it was near his birthday, he opted out their ideas for a party in return so he can feel calm and happy that someone was waiting for him on his own home. Maybe, he wasn't alone the whole time--they were waiting for him. So, the group didn't force him to think otherwise... and everyone has settled all the aftermath.
There's been quite a week of trials following the events of the festival of horrors but they managed to get through them together, Kafka and his troupe were exiled from Welkin after they were sentenced to spend more time in jail. Almost all of the candidates who were suspected were innocent were found guilt-free, which made some of them cried out in joy and cried a lot when they walked out of the trial--only to meet Lloyd who aimed his cane at them.
"Boo."
Lloyd watched their horrified face, laughing evilly as they ran away from him. That moment almost made him feel happy, along with Chase (who was laughing as he recorded those video that only Alastair and Solvine joined them) who made that cruel move. Besides, he didn't mind if he broke the rules--he know that his friends will follow his footsteps no matter what. Besides, he pondered about the true identity of Kafka--so he decided to visit him in the prison after they finished the festival. "Keep in mind that you're not alone, Master Lloyd... I promised to help you anyway I can and you're my friend too," Sonata whispered with a smile, while standing beside him.
Lloyd smiled and chuckled as he comfort her, rubbing her head with his left hand as he kneeled down in front of her--he hugged her in a protective manner and the youngest wolf-girl giggled--hugging the young thirty seven-years old male in return. Solvine watched as he stood beside Sonata with a smile, letting his colleague-friend hugging his daughter. After that, the three of them left to the National Postal Service together and the Festival of Darkness that still ongoing.
His mother would've been so proud of him, after everything he'd been through...
