--Second Day of the Festival of Lights--First Week--
In order to ensure the safety of the people attending the Festival, the National Postal Service police forces and the military personnel were stationed in various places.
The third day is increased with maximum patrols, security and surveillances due to the increasing number of attendees every second. The Headquarters is filled with security officers from all over the country, they're busy checking each and everyone entering the Headquarters for suspicious behavior. Every Mail-Hunters are also heavily armed with their Automotive Gear weapons, just in case something goes wrong. There are four levels of security in National Postal Service, from low to high security is Mezzo-Forte (Normal), Forte (Alert), Fortissimo (Standby) and Fortississimo (Caution); these security measures are done to prevent any potential threats that may harm or kill one another inside National Postal Service.
It was night, the sky is dark blue with white clouds floating above them. There are hundreds of lanterns illuminating the whole area which made everything looks beautiful. People are walking through the streets and the roads, enjoying themselves while waiting for tomorrow's events. The Mail-Hunters were ensuring the safety of the visitors who attended the Festival of Lights, so the public can enjoy music performances, art shows and food stalls in the festival. Alastair ordered the Mail-Hunter Armed Enforcement Forces to keep a high alert status and to patrol the entire area of the Festival of Lights. He also sent the Mail-Hunters assigned in the security detail of the guests staying here at the Headquarters.
Alastair is in one of the highest level security rooms with more surveillance vintage cameras than the other places in National Postal Service; he always making sure none of the intruders are trespassing and tampering with the insides of the Headquarters-together with Mathilda and Senja who are assisting him. Sonata was also armed with her Chopin's Nocturne Op. 20, she was also patrolling with Claire and Gabriel in the Festival of Lights with other Mail-Hunters.
"This place is so crowded today," Claire murmured, she felt uneasy about the large crowd of people as Sonata's wolf ears twitched sensitively due to several crowds, Gabriel was vigilant enough that he was getting uncomfortable with several crowds, Senja and Gilbert were nervous about the upcoming events tomorrow.
Mathilda shivered when she heard the word 'Marauders,' she remembered the story of the people who were killed by them. Those Marauders are people who didn't have any memories of their past lives and they're very dangerous, even more than the Reverse. She shivered when she remembered how the victims died, she couldn't imagine what would happen to the Mail-Hunters if the Marauders of the Reverse attacked them. Not only that, they stole packages and letters from Mail-Hunters--even threatening them with their weapons that can kill them.
"We should prepare ourselves for the worse case scenarios," Alastair warned the Mail-Hunters present inside the Headquarters, this time the security was more heightened into Fortissimo Status due to the increasing amount of guests arriving in the Headquarters. The Festival of Lights is now starting to end soon, there will be a fireworks display tonight along with the finale performance of the artists. None of the Mail-Hunters get their sleep and they even get dark circles under their eyes, they're all exhausted but still had to remain alert because they need to take another patrol shift AGAIN.
Sonata was patrolling with Claire and Gabriel again, she was tired and yawning repeatedly during her walk. "Urgh... if this status reached into Fortississimo after Fortissimo status... I'm gonna fall asleep right away," Claire complained while she was trying hard not to yawn. "I feel like I haven't slept well ever since we arrived here."
"Me too," Gabriel added, feeling sleepy despite having his Automotive Gear strapped on his hip.
The trio began their patrols around the festival, it has been hectic for all of them because they need to heighten their defense and the security to protect the people from them. "So, Sonata... how did you know about Marauders? Suona seems to know about it too," Claire asked, walking beside her and Gabriel in the streets of lights. Sonata heard her as she hesitated a little, before she answered. "We have encountered them before, it's been a while since we have seen them... and this is my first time encountering one. They were responsible for the deaths of innocents, we saw them in the past... doing something that beyond humane."
Sonata shivered at the thought of them, somewhat disturbed by remembering the image of a Marauder who tried to kidnap her. At that first time, she felt an odd feeling and intense sensation that made her want to get away from him--not to mention his aura is very dark and menacing towards her. What does he want from her? What did she do? This stranger might keep following her and perhaps Suona if he found her again here.
Claire was curious about her and how did she know about them, until she got the answer that she encounter them--besides she seems to know about Hybrids and such. "You know about Hybrids too? That's interesting," Gabriel asked, smoking his cigarette as he was very curious upon learning about the Hybrids--he didn't expect Sonata to be this 'knowledgeable'. "Yeah, but... I can't say much about them, even if you ask Suona... she might not answer them with details that you want to hear," Sonata replied, frowning a little. For some reason, she felt jealous that these two has their relatives and she never felt on having one before. Let alone a familial bond, her wolf ears pinned down in shame.
Sonata was listening to both of them talking about something else, but her wolf ears pinned down so she can't hear them that much--she absolutely feel inferior when they talk about each other's fathers. "Look, I know that your father is very strict with equipments safety. But, can you ask him if I can borrow one of his training equipments? I need to train myself, you know," Gabriel asked, making Claire sighed as she folded her arms. "Just ask him by yourself, you're the one who's asking you know. Besides, your father has met him before, it shouldn't be a big hassle--"
They paused to see Sonata stopped walking and stood there, facing her back to them in front of the two. "Sonata, is there something wrong?" Gabriel asked, noticing her sudden change of behavior. Claire tried to comfort her, saying. "Did we... offend you or something? If we do, we're so sorry--"
"No, it's fine."
Her tone was slightly monotone, still not looking at them as her eyes covered by her long bangs. Sonata was trying her best not to show emotions to them, she doesn't want to be seen weak--she absolutely hate it. 'Why am I acting up like this...?' she thought, biting her lips as she shake her head a little. Damn it, she need to get over it and pretended she's fine. Sonata was unaware that she thought they would leave her, but they didn't--she heard Claire spoke. "Listen, I know we've been friends for more than a week. But, we noticed that you never told anything about us. It's alright if you don't want to tell us something that you don't want to share, and... we're worried about you."
Sonata turn around with a surprise on her expression, they were worried the whole time? It made her regret that she made them worried of her. All she wanted is someone not worrying about her and having a hard time on her, or perhaps she was just standoffish--no matter how much she tried to move on... the past keeps haunting her and Suona even more. "You guys... worried about me?" she asked, she feel bad that she didn't want to burden them. "That's right, Sonata. We figured out that you cared about us so much, you always smile and bring positive vibe towards almost everyone in National Postal Service--even Suona who helped us in medical services. So, we really cared about you," Gabriel explained, a look of concern shown on his eyes.
It feels as if they were her family when they said that, making Sonata trembled and shivered a little upon listening to them. "You guys... I know that... I'm not that perfect, nor Suona..." she admitted, trying her hardest not to show emotions. "But, thank you... I don't know how I can thank you guys... I don't deserve it, I wanted to move on from the past so we can leave that behind--but I realized that... it will keep haunting us until now--"
Sonata stopped when she felt tears running down her eyes, accidentally showing her true self that she was emotionally fragile from opening up to them. At first, she didn't want to open up about her past to them nor regaining her trust to them--until she realized that it keep burdening her psychologically and emotionally to her friends. "S-Sorry..." she apologized, sniffling as she tried to wipe off her tears from her eyes and facing away from them. Claire was surprised that their friend cried in front of them, she immediately took her to the place far from public and Gabriel take out his napkin for Sonata. "Here, now take a deep breath okay?"
Gabriel asked, handing the napkin to her and she nodded--accepting the napkin and wiping her tears before snorting the nasty snots from her nose. Claire rubbed her back in circle to calm the girl down while sitting down beside her, watching Sonata sniffed and snorted into the napkin. Sonata took a deep inhale then exhales, feeling all the burdens on her shoulders ceased. "If you're not feeling fine, just let us know and we'll comfort you. We won't leave your side, Sonata... you are part of us," Claire said with a small smile, watching Sonata hiccuped and calming down a bit. "W-Water, please..."
Claire nodded at him, which he immediately getting a bottle of water for Sonata. After that, she drank the bottle while they're waiting for her to calm down. Sonata felt her head went dizzy, but she need to keep strong because they're not done yet. "Let's take a break, I heard our Postmaster-General has returned," he suggested, Sonata and Claire nodded before they returned to the Headquarters of National Postal Service. "Also, keep your spirits up Sonata!" Claire reminded her, making Sonata's eyes sparked with determination--making her nodded with her usual smile. "Good luck to you guys too!" she responded happily, the three of them hug each other before departing into their respective activities.
Sonata made her way to her locker where she kept her personal belongings and items needed to be used by herself, such as gloves and coats and even her Automotive Gear weapon equipment. The Festival of Lights was still ongoing, so it's common for Emissaries to be busy for the whole week. As she grabbed her Chopin's Nocturne Op. 20, she strapped the weapon behind her back holster and close the locker. "I'm tired..." Suona whined, sitting on the bench inside the locker room with Sonata. "So, the whole whisper thing from last night were true about this festival," Sonata continued while cleaning her gunblade with her white coat.
Suona is wiping off the dust from the blade before she put the clean ones inside her bag, she nodded as she look back at her childhood friend. "Yup, whoever did this... we should interrogate them as soon as possible," Suona stated with a serious tone, she frowned as she remembered what happened last night. "It's not that we don't have any evidence of that yet, and I'm worried that someone might get hurt," she added, Suona agreed with a nod. "Oh right, Sonata. Why are your eyes were red?" she asked.
Sonata blinked, before she smiled sheepishly--she can't hide that from her because they know each other very well. "Well, you know... deep and heart-to-heart bondings with new friends. How about you? You're more socially active than me..." she answered, before she was surprised when Suona hugged her--making her feel comforted again. "I know that, Sonata... it may be hard for us, but for now... let's do this together--just like how we made our promise together," Suona spoke, sighing when her childhood friend hugged her back. Then, they pulled away from the hug after that. "Also, I will be in the canteen because lunch hour is coming--meet me there if you need me, okay?"
Sonata nodded, watching Suona left when she stretched her arms. "The Postmaster-General is coming today, I want to know what does he looks like..." she murmured, before she was walking down the hallway to see some Emissaries helping with the decorations--until she saw her mentor Alastair was talking with someone across his quarter office--the Postmaster-General.
The tall man was a thirty-seven years old Postmaster-General of National Postal Service Headquarters and Overseer of Canarian Postal Branches, he has a carefree and relaxed attitude about his duties unlike his friend-subordinate who has noble qualities of being strict and disciplined with cold and intimidating presence. He was a youthful man with a grayish messy short hair with a tint of purple that almost reaching his shoulders and bangs almost covering his purple eyes, cheeks and his frameless glasses that he wore--he has alabaster complexion. He wears a white formal shirt underneath his black suit with tailcoat that has gold platinum musical note pendants on the V-neck and buttons, a black vest and dark Prussian blue ascot tie--along dark gray trouser tucked into his black riding boots--he carries a cane with him whenever he's around other Masters and Mail-Hunters.
He had the personality of a gentleman with aristocratic manners; which made him one of the most popular person among the Mail-Hunters and Masters alike. However, he has laidback, friendly and easygoing nature unlike Alastair who is strict, stern and unforgiving around them.
"You're late!"
Alastair snapped at Sonata, he was watching her coming towards them as her wolf ears pinned back by his loud and commanding voice. Sonata already get used to his scoldings, but sometimes it's getting annoying when he keep doing that. "Sorry sir..." she murmured, before seeing her mentor Alastair huffed. "I'll forgive you since you're only late for the first time, this is the Postmaster-General of National Postal Service, Lloyd Warren. You may address him as Master Lloyd, okay?" he asked, making her nodded immediately by her mentor's words.
Lloyd observed the half-Winter Wolf Mail-Hunter as he stared down at her, he was astonished that this is the first time he meet the infamous Sonata Nocturna. "Nice to meet you, Sonata," he greeted her with warm smile, Sonata's fear ceased as she greeted him back with a bright smile. "Nice to meet you, Master Lloyd! I'm sorry for my tardiness, sir."
Sonata greeted as she bowed her head in respect to him, which made her blush because of the situation. "No need to be so humble about your tardiness, it's fine."
Alastair heard his superior reassured her so he let out a sigh of relief, before he whispered to him. "She is my apprentice, so don't worry about it."
The youthful Postmaster-General chuckled when he saw Alastair's face--it made Alastair looked relieved as he turned around and walk towards the door, leaving him and Sonata there. "Sorry about that, Master Lloyd... my mentor is too strict that made me tensed and scared just seeing him..." she said with a frown, Lloyd adjusted his glasses as he smiled to ease down the girl's worries, responding to her. "It's alright, Master Alastair always has this kind of behavior with everyone around him because he cares about everyone, he's acting like that because of his responsibility of the others. Just like everyone else does, he know his job position well so it was very hard for him to keep up his image."
Sonata looked up at him; she couldn't believe he said that and it eased away all her worries she had--her expression turned hopeful, she felt a little bit relieved after hearing what he said because she was worried of what could happen if he scolded her in front of him--but now she's relieved that she didn't make a bad impression upon meeting the Postmaster-General. "My apologies for my absence lately, I have important matters to do which involved the military. What I've done is my responsibilities, so if you would like to know about it..." he explained as he grabbed out a stack of report paper which Sonata peeked curiously.
"What's this?"
Sonata asked him, she began to flip the pages and read the words carefully, she saw some sketches about creatures that she had never seen before. Lloyd quietly looked at the notes and report papers he handed them, one of them Sonata noticed. "I didn't tell anyone, since I wanted to keep it confidential and you know the Canarian Government is...not that great," he said with a tired look, he rubbed his temples.
This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
Sonata also learned that Lloyd is the only person who can match with Alastair's personality--both of them are friends and were working together for years, he looks calm but on the inside is strict and noble even more than Alastair himself. However, he knows how to control his emotions much better than any other people, he always using his brain and is capable of strategy--leading thousands of Mail-Hunters in the entire Postal Union, he has the authority to supervise all of the postmasters of postal branches around Canaria and make sure none of the citizens receive fake or real deliveries from the enemies.
Sonata was thinking about what is the note is for, she knew it might contain a dangerous information and maybe connected with Husks she encounters with Reverse.
As they were in the Festival of Lights, Lloyd was greeting the Mail-Hunters and the people of Welkin warmly with a smile, it made Sonata admired the Postmaster-General so much--he has a gentleman and aristocratic nature while keeping his profile low. "Is it true that there has been Marauders terrorizing us Mail-Hunters by robbing the letters and package from us?" Sonata asked her superior, watching her two best friends Claire and Gabriel are taking a shift break the festival like usual--so does Suona who was monitoring the crates and resources for the festival. "Yes, Master Alastair informed me about them, we heard the reports from the Mail-Hunters who experienced it. And, I heard you'd encounter one of them, right?"
Lloyd asked, making Sonata nodded with a frown on her face. "The truth is, our National Postal Service haven't encounter their kind due to our military force is powerful and strong--but we get reports from the other countries and mostly we act as a logistics for the war when we're still in that age," he explained, while watching at the grand theatre and the building. "It was scary, he didn't say a word and intimidate me... I thought he's going to kill me."
"I know how you feel... those Marauder who appeared last night are really terrifying because their appearance is quite unique from others. It was a rare case since we never encountered that kind of Marauder before, from the reports that they gave to me."
Lloyd explained, watching how his subordinate Sonata was listening carefully with her wolf ears pinned back. "They are assassins of Reverse Organization who were once Mail-Hunters turned rogue-murderers," he stated, looking at his side when he saw the sky has turned dark and it's time for the fireworks festival. Sonata didn't answered because she remembered what happened, when she witnessed a Marauder of Reverse capturing several innocents and brainwashing them--she and Suona were nine back then and it was terrifying to see them like that.
"They are criminals who's roaming around the city of Welkin in search for anything valuable, including the letters and packages from other countries. They are very dangerous due their strong bodyguards and skilled fighters, they're anti-governmental people who hates the Government and Mail-Hunters. Reverse Organization is an anti-Canarian organization designed to plot out or destroy Canaria's Artificial Light by any means necessary, from creating Husks to illegally conducting experiments on innocent lives, especially animals or humans--it has been posing threats towards Canaria since its founding."
Lloyd said bitterly, the Marauders are unpredictable because they do anything with their own reasons. Not even a government and a high ranking military officer--except Lloyd himself--can't control them because their actions are so unpredictable. He received ringing calls of his steampunk-like vintage walkie-talkie from his waist holster, it came from one of his subordinates as he had important messages for him and he accepted the call. "Yes?" he asked, hearing Gilbert informed him as he can hear him speaking. "Master Lloyd, please come to the Headquarters immediately! We have important news regarding one of our Mail-Hunters inside the Headquarters right now!"
"I will be there soon, I'll see you later."
After saying that he ended the call with a click sound, he turned to Sonata and spoke to her. "I will explain everything once I'm done dealing with other stuff."
He informed, making the Winter Wolf Mail-Hunter nodded with a bright smile towards him. "Alright... thank you Master Lloyd."
Senja was patrolling outside the city of Welkin, ensuring none of the Husks are lurking around--carrying his Automotive Gear; Bagatelle No. 25, Fur Elise--a pair of dual long flintlocks and a Decrescendo-type--somewhat took in its 'sealed' state. As a Master of the Emissaries and Coordinator-General, he likes to mentor his apprentice especially Gabriel on how to defeat Husks without letting them escape. When he's in the rocky cliffs, he relied on his enhanced vision to detect the location of the Husks before he used his gear to destroy them and their surroundings.
He saw one Husk approaching near the cliffside and he stopped to watch its movement, when he detected their presence he huffed. "Laphreug Husk..." he murmured, noticing their movement is different than the normal Husk. It's like a humanoid creature with four limbs and a long neck and torso-with their hands and feet having sharp talons, they also have sharp fangs on their mouth which is a sign that they're carnivores.
When they saw Senja standing far away from them, the creatures let out a loud snarl and started to charge towards him at full speed. He pointed his Automotive Gear directly towards them, closed his eyes for a moment before he opened them as he pressed both triggers which inflicted a twilight-orange blast.
His main weapon is a pair of prototype dual long rifle-flintlocks that used two different types of ammunition: a silver bullet and a black round shaped explosive shell for a powerful blast attack which causes damage in every direction. The long barrel is coated with silver alloy steel which gives it better recoil while it has a bayonet blade at its muzzle end to attach the explosive shells. The color of Melodic Amber stone that was attached on the barrel is twilight orange color with the symbol of eagle, the weapon is capable of both long and close range attacks depending on the mission. The creatures hissed in pain before they turned to ash when their flesh was reduced to dust, making a hole inside the cliffside. A smirk forms on his face and looked around to see if there were other Husks nearby but luckily there weren't any other ones approaching yet.
Senja exhaled out his breath while he holstered his Automotive Gear on his shoulder, he let out a sigh of relief before he look around.
"There's more..." he murmured, he turn around to see another Husk is coming. "Corona Husk, I knew it," he scoffed with a grin, seeing the Husk creature appeared from the distance. Corona Husk is a giant creature that took a similar form of cricket, it had six pairs of legs, three pairs of pincer and a pair of mandible which is used for feeding its victims; however the Corona Husk has a set of antennae on its head that acts as a sensor organ. Its body is covered with thick armor which resembles the leaves of oak tree, it has long arms that's capable of holding and manipulating large objects—it has sharp claws on its toes that can easily cut through metal materials with ease.
"Alright, let's make this quick," Senja murmured with a smirk, he always calm and composed during battle--he doesn't flinch once when he is battling, which makes him an ideal soldier. He moved forward to engage into combat and grabbed his Automotive Gear from his holster to aim at the creature that was walking towards him-he pulled back the hammer and aimed at its leg to inflict pain and injure it-but the Corona Husk evaded his shots, making him frustrated. He can tell the creature isn't dumb, so he shot at the ground repeatedly as a distraction to make the creature turn around and face him, allowing him the chance to shoot directly into its eyes.
The explosion left a trail of smoke and fire in the area of where Senja and Corona Husk are, causing the nearby rock formation and trees were caught on fire-the heat from the blast scorched his skin and burnt several grasses. "Ouch... Master Alastair's gonna kill me for this... but… this is my first time killing a Corona Husk, I'm so glad..." he smirked as he aimed his rifle-flintlock again and blasted the creature's head off with another blast of Melodic Amber bullets from his Automotive Gear weapon.
Senja stretched his arms after sheathing his Automotive Gear inside his case holster, yawning before he came back to the festival and encountered Sonata. "Master Senja, you're back!" she said with a smile, he nodded at the sixteen-years old Mail-Hunter when he folded his arms. "I was hunting Husks earlier to get rid of my boredom, since it looks like you're busy dealing with some sort of trouble," he said to her with a laidback smile, unlike Alastair--Senja was the complete opposite of him and he always been cool about his situation, especially when handling his protege Gabriel.
Sonata giggled in response when she heard what he said to her--before Suona arrived to greet him too. "Evening Suona, had any interesting missions today?" he asked Sonata's childhood friend, she nodded as she stood beside Sonata. "Yup, apparently the people in Welkin enjoying the festival! Except for us Mail-Hunters... I can't count how many hours we spent looking after every visitors coming here. Our arms and legs are sore..." she muttered while massaging her back when she tried to stretch her arms, hearing Senja chuckled. "I know, sorry about that... I know how it feels," he muttered with a frown, before he sighed. "You know, there are some Master's positions that still empty in NPS recently... we were looking for the suitable candidates and we still haven't got the best one to become a Master..."
Sonata lifted her eyebrows, this is the first time there were job positions in National Postal Service still empty--especially the ones for the Masters. "How hard was it?" she asked, he smiled wistfully at her. "It's very challenging, the test is more difficult than just the entrance exam for the regular Mail-Hunters. I'll be real with you, in my experience; we have to defeat several Husks without retreating and we must have skills that Master has. There are two types of Masters; my rank with Mathilda, Cordelia and Gilbert is Sub-Masters because the test is halfway difficult. The Masters are the Upper-Masters because they have much experience and skills--with a very difficult and challenging test, just like Master Lloyd, Master Oswald and Master Alastair. I can't spill out what the test looks like, since it's confidential for NPS--only Master Oswald knows what does the test looks like."
Senja explained, but one unfamiliar name caught Sonata's attention.
"Master Oswald?"
"Oh right, he's the Director-General of Human Resources Department and he's my superior. He always busy with official duties and reviewing the HR while he was outside Welkin City--you never met him so it's okay. But, his actual duty is to keep an eye that no other government officials will try to get involved in--"
Until Senja sensed a dangerous entity from distance, it made him knitted his eyebrows together and turn around.
"Sonata, did you sense that? I think I'm not the only one."
Sonata tilted her head, her wolf ears tilted back up along her wolf tail when she sensed it. Suona also sensed them, which her long dragon tail twitched by the entity across them. "I did," she said as she look around the festival. "I can sense one too," she murmured before she closed her eyes and listened carefully. Sonata's wolf ears perked up when she opened her eyes, she has sharper sense and keen to follow the scent like a wolf. With Automotive Gear strapped behind her back, she still safe because she was heavily guarded and running off to the city with him.
Senja can keep up his pace due to the rough training in his days as a Mail-Hunter, before he became a Coordinator-General which he was actively at. It brings back old days in his life as a regular Mail-Hunter, he could reminiscing the past during his teenage years while Sonata is running beside him.
"This reminds me of old days when I was a regular Mail-Hunter!" he said with a smile, excited that he reverted into his carefree and youthful self. "Really? I thought you not working as one anymore?" Sonata asked, running beside him and Suona. "Well, I'm twenty-seven years old now so I'm not that much active for office works," he retorted, he was a little breathless as he just finished fighting Husks several minutes ago and now he's pursuing the Marauders. "That's cool! No wonder you still can keep up your pace and strength!" Suona shouted with a smile.
Until, the three of them encountered a crash from the buildings across them. Senja saw the three suspects who caused a commotion from the restaurant, it surprised her that there are two individuals over there. "Oh no, they are… the humans who infused with the Husks..." she murmured, her eyes widen when she saw their faces. One is holding a large wooden club, as the second one has a spear--Suona knew who they are in the past and made them shocked by their appearances.
"Hybrids?!"
"Why are they here?" Sonata whispered before she looked around to make sure they aren't followed by anyone else, she was worried that the others are after them. Irina showed her fangs when she snatched the man's collar much to his fear, as she was about to lean close to his neck-the Automotive Gear weapon's tip suddenly interrupts her and she released him-stepping back from the rods. "What the?!" she look up to see the one who caused that, before seeing the golden rods retracts back on his hand.
"Surprised?"
Senja wielded his Automotive Gears in order to create a shockwave towards her-which made her jump back. He fired his rifle-flintlock several times towards Irina with another blast of Melodic Amber bullets and explosive shells, making her fall on the ground with a scream while she covers herself with her palms. "So, you caused this mess?"
Senja asked as his dangerous gaze was piercing against the girl with the messy bob hair with a silver-color, pale complexion and crimson irises of her gold eyes. Wearing a black high-collared shirt with dark blue jacket and black furs, with a black pants and knee-length laced boots she has a black horns on her head. "The one you shouldn't mess with is Emissaries, we're not afraid of you after all--after you stole those packages," Senja remarked, pointing at Irina's bag with stolen sealed packages, she smirked when she look back at him.
"You know nothing about us!"
Irina sprinted towards him before she unleashed her bullwhip, her eyes were narrowed when she was going to hit him with the poison. Sonata suddenly appeared when she was going to attack him, kicking her face with her foot before she pinned her down--growling like a wolf. She was taken aback by the Winter Wolf Mail-Hunter before her eyes, with the features of the wolf from her ears and tail even her instincts. "So, you're that wolfie who ran off from the auction? What a surprise, Sonata. Also, it's been a long time... Suona."
Sonata was surprised that she recognized her from her features, to which she was betrayed and angered that her former friends was part of the Reverse Organization now. Suona was also hurt by this fact alone, she was also enraged by the fact her old friends were part of that group of traitors to the country. "Of course you do," Suona muttered in sadness, narrowing her eyes at them angrily.
"Ohoho, now you remembered?" Irina shouted as she was excited to see her again, knowing that she would be alive somewhere after that incident. "Sonata, do you think you're going to get away after what they did to us? Don't you see what have government made us like this? We were treated as garbage, those people are nothing but corrupt! That's why… we want to reverse the society and the rules!" she declared, before she aimed her bullwhip at them. "It doesn't matter whether you're on their sides or not, you Mail-Hunters cannot do anything about it!"
Irina's eyes widened when he suddenly shot the blast from one of his rifle-flintlocks, which made her evaded in fear. "Not a chance, you have no right to laugh over one's suffering and trauma they had," he stated, seeing that this bastard Irina was already insane from the start. "And… I don't know what made you like this, but what you did is morally wrong," Senja added, seeing her growl at him and Sonata. Irina yelled at them when Sonata was clenching her fists, she couldn't believe she didn't regret her choice for what she have done. "You don't understand!"
Irina flinched a little, before she watched the other two Mail-Hunters has arrived.
"Sonata, are you okay?"
Senja frowned at her when he walk back towards her, seeing her nodding that she was beyond wrathful by seeing her. Suona was kneeling in front of her childhood friend, watching Sonata like this made her understand how she felt. As they saw the young Winter Wolf Mail-Hunter with a frown, feeling defeated by the corrupted humanity, Suona gently put her hand on her shoulder. "Sonata... are you alright?" Suona asked, trying to reassure her childhood friend that everything will be fine. "We promised that we would get out of here, but after I was on that stage… she break the promise and run off without me. Suona, I have no regrets about that because I wanted to help her. However, she left me behind without hesitation... do you remember that, Suona?"
Suona nodded with a glare towards the other girls and Sonata gritted her teeth, looking back at him with a hint of anger on her eyes that she was so pissed. "And that moment, when she started to believe what they said that they will 'save' them… I don't see her as a friend anymore! I heard that when I was going to leave after the auction is crushed!" she whimpered--she was in tears when she said that, before she close her eyes and covered her face with her hands.
"This is why I can't forgive them for what they did… and they made me lose my friends…!"
The first girl has appeared on the rooftop with Serena standing beside her, she has a white-blonde shoulder-length hair with long bangs. Wearing a black collared dress, black short pants, black tights and knee-length black boots, wearing a dark blue overcoat with a black furs and black fingerless gloves. "Looks like Irina is caught, no choice left eh?" she scoffs once she was folding her arms, before looking back at her partner. "Serena, do you agree to take Sonata back there?"
The second girl wears a black tank top and black short pants under a hood black jacket, a black knee-length boots and black hat. Her pale blonde hair has longer bangs tied into a ponytail and has longer bangs, a golden-colored eyes and pale complexion. "Not sure, I doubt if she will--since she escaped from the auction," she stated coldly, before both of them encountered the three Mail-Hunters. "But today--we're no longer holding back, which is why Reverse ordered us."
"Not so fast!"
Claire and Gabriel were arresting them with other Mail-Hunters, using their Automotive Gears to stop them. The girl began to ambush both of them, which both of them blocked their attacks and tossed both of them into the Enforcement Squad--capturing both of them with their restraining device. "Dang it!"
"Sorry, but we're taking both of you in."
