School library

Noah and Liam were in the library studying for an upcoming math test. But for some reason they stopped to continue a conversation from a while ago.

"I still think a walrus could kick a giraffe's ass." Said Noah. Yes I'm starting the chapter like this again, deal with it.

"No way! A giraffe is so tall! Walruses are fat." Said Liam.

"No, you just can't see their beauty! Maybe you're the fat one?" Noah argued.

"Nope, besides I'm only a little bit bigger than you."

"Maybe we're both fat?"

"No, you're cute."

Noah just looked at Liam giving him the eww who do think you are? how could you say that with a straight face?! Like go fuck yourself you cringe mother fucker, Look. You get the point.

"Okay I get the point." Said Liam.

Jason walked into the library, and immediately went up to Noah. "Noah, can I talk to you?" He asked.

"Why?" Noah, you know why.

"Don't be a dick. Just let me speak to you."

"Okay."

"Wait where are you going?" Liam asked. "Can I come too?"

"I'm going to talk to Jason, just stay here."

Liam watched them as they walked away.

Noah followed Jason to a less populated area of the library. Jason stood in front of Noah trying to find the right words to say to him.

"Are we going to talk or did you just want to look at me?" Noah said, smiling. "honestly I don't mind either way."

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

"No! Noah that's not what's happening!" Jason said.

"Then what is it? You don't have to be nervous around me." Noah said, giving him a warm smile, which made Jason more nervous.

"Well, are… are you sure you're okay after yesterday? I don't know, but you just seemed off."

Noah stared at him for a second.

"Don't worry about me, I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't fine. You get me?"

"I guess. But why me? I'm so boring looking. Especially compared to the other guys here."

"You're not. Plus, even if you were ugly, looks aren't everything you know. You're a good person."

Jason was a little surprised by the compliment.

"If you say so." Jason paused. "Are you sure you don't want to talk more about this?"

"Yeah. Besides, I don't want to make you uncomfortable with my hella gay feelings." Noah grabbed Jason by his arm and brought him back to the table where Liam was sitting.

They both sat down and Noah immediately started to read his textbook. Liam looked at Jason, then looked back down at his book and sighed.

"What's wrong Liam?" Jason asked.

"Nothing." Liam didn't even look back up at him.

Jason looked at Noah. Noah peeked out from behind his book and shrugged. Liam was for some reason starting to act strange around Jason. He seemed very passive aggressive lately.

Noah looked up from his book. Through the glass doors of the library he was able to see his brother and Benjamin walking together.

"So how is Benji doing with Jayden? Do they seem like friends?" Noah asked Jason.

"Oh yeah, Bens been hanging out with him a lot, right? They have home EC together I think." Jason said.

"Yeah. I'm really happy he has a friend! My precious emo baby is growing up!"

"You call your brother your precious emo baby?"

"Yeah! You wouldn't understand, you're an only child."

"Ah okay."

"What's having a young sibling like?" Liam asked Noah.

"It's different for everyone I think. But me and my brother are really close, even though he won't admit it. I have a half sister too but she's an adult with kids so I don't ever see her." Noah answered.

"My cousin might have to live with me and my mom in like a week. My mom said to think of her like a little sister."

"Oh how fun!"

"Not really. Apple is annoying and really fucking stupid."

"Well, how old is she?"

"Fifteen. And yet she's a huge slut to."

"Okay that's a bit too far to say that, don't you think?" Noah was a bit annoyed hearing Liam insult his own cousin like that.

"No, like seriously Noah. She's getting kicked out for sneaking off with this guy every night for like three months."

"Okay? You don't need to call her a slut for it though."

Liam stayed silent. The atmosphere was awkward.

"Anyways I got a job." Noah finally said, trying to break the subject.

"Really? Where?" Jason asked.

"At some fancy restaurant called Très Chat. It's one of those high-class five star restaurants."

"I've... Never heard of it. There's definitely no five star restaurants in this town."

"Yeah there is. Très Chat is right next to the mall."

"Since when?"

"Since like 1985, that's what the plague at the front says."

"Noah, there's never been a restaurant by the mall."

"I'll show you! Just swing by my work at some point."

"Ah, sure." Jason was still very confused about this restaurant that he's never heard of.

After school Noah and Jayden were at home. Noah was cooking something on the stove while spacing out.

"Noah?" Jayden asked.

"Hm?"

"How much salt are you gonna add? You've been standing over a boiling pot of water and pouring the whole thing of salt in there for like, an hour."

"Oh. I guess we're eating salt water for dinner."

"No. Give it to dad though, I'm sure he'll eat it."

"Yeah, I'm sure he would."

"Yep, but are you okay?"

"Yeah, I've just been thinking about Liam."

"Liam? The plain blond guy? He doesn't seem like your type."

"He's not my type. But he's been acting weird."

"Really? Ben said something like that too."

"Hmm." Noah stopped to think more, as well as pouring more salt into the pot. "Hope he doesn't have a crush on me."
