“Woah!” Zara stared in wonder at the majestic airship currently docked on the ground. Joining the back of the VIP line, she couldn’t wait to get on board.
Luckily I have Wilfred’s number, otherwise I don’t know what I would’ve done. Lining up behind her, Ed lightly clasped the two cruise tickets in his pocket.
The VIP line quickly started moving, as they were let on board first. Ed watched as the other line continued to grow, quickly filling with people.
“Welcome onboard Pride Cruises! It is an honour to have you here with us today. I will be your guide for today’s journey, if you need any help, call on me!” As they stepped on board the airship, they were greeted by a young woman in a flight attendant uniform.
“Thank you. Can you take us to our room first?” Ed said.
“Of course sir, please follow me.” The attendant said.
Following her through the clean and elegant corridors up to the higher floors, they occasionally caught glimpses of the other people who were let on early. Looking out through one of the windows, he watched as the line slowly started to move in. Looks like it won’t be this quiet for long.
The attendant stopped in front of a door, bowing slightly to them. “If you need anything, I will be here at your beck and call. I hope you enjoy your stay here with us.” She pushed open the door, revealing the room behind it.
“Woah!” Zara stared in slack jawed amazement.
No wonder I didn’t see any other doors on this floor.
To their surprise, their room took up an entire floor of the airship. Zara raced into the room, excitedly jumping out through the glass door and onto the deck, which had its own pool and hot tub, as well as plenty of space for them to walk around and see the glorious sights of Hell.
On the other hand, Ed went around, searching the rest of the room. The entire place was designed with rest and relaxation in mind. If they wanted to, they would never have to leave the room until the ship set back down at the end of the day.
“Quick Ed, come look!” Zara shouted from outside.
Joining her at the edge of the deck, they stared off into the distance, watching as the sun rose into view. Wow, it’s beautiful.
Beneath their feet, the airship undocked and slowly rose into the air. Unlike what he expected, it felt completely stable, as if it was not moving at all.
“I still can’t believe Lord Superbia created that and is moving it with his own strength.” Ed said, basking in the sun’s morning rays.

“Wow! Just how strong is he?” She asked, amazed.
“I don’t think we’ll ever truly know.”
The two stood there for a moment, leaning against the railing, enjoying the view as the airship rose higher and higher into the sky, eventually starting on its course around the city.
Feeling the warm rays on her skin, a thought came to her mind. “I’m hungry Let’s go see what they have down in the lower floors.”
We could just order in breakfast, but okay. This is her holiday after all.
Exiting the VIP floors, they began to see more and more people. Everyone seemed to be completely relaxed, as if they didn’t have to worry about anything so long as they were soaring through the sky.
Children ran about the place, excitedly staring out the windows trying to spot their homes from above.
People sat down drinking their morning coffee while engaging in polite discussion.
Shops and stalls were scattered throughout the airship, providing everything someone may need, from food, clothes, and novelty items to massages and much more.
What a lively place. Following behind Zara as she excitedly bounced around the place, they stopped at a café that caught her eye. Grabbing a menu, they stood a distance away from the counter to let other people through.
“What do you want?” Ed asked.
Searching through the menu, she decided on an iced latte and a ham and cheese toastie. “Give me my ticket, I’ll be right back.”
Alright. Handing over her ticket, she gave him a quick peck on the cheek before running off. Guess I’ll order the food.
“Hi! What can I get for you today?” The barista asked with a signature customer service smile.
“I would like an iced latte, two ham and cheese toasties, and a peppermint tea please.” Ed said.
“Would that be small, medium, or large for the drinks?” He asked.
Hmm. “Small for both of them please.”
“Alright. That would be $24.99, how would you like to pay?” The barista asked.
Pulling out the VIP ticket from his pocket, he showed it to the worker, whose smile grew noticeably wider. “Of course, sir. This one is on the house. Your order will be with you soon.”
Stuffing the ticket back in his pocket, he found a table and sat down. We need to make the best of this ticket while we can. This was a fantastic idea, I need to thank Wilfred for getting us these tickets.
Sitting there for a moment, he spotted Zara out of the corner of his eye. She was making her way back to the café, a small bag hanging on her arm. I wonder what she got herself?
“I’m back.” At the same time as she sat down, their food was brought over to the table.
Steam swirled out of the freshly brewed drinks. Melted cheese dripped onto the plate, gushing out of the toasted sandwich. It looked delicious.
Blowing gently on his tea, he looked over at Zara, who was smiling. “What did you buy?”
“Be patient. You’ll see soon enough.” She said, her attention already drawn to the food in front of her. Taking a bite out of her sandwich, the food melted in her mouth. “It’s sooo good.”
Smiling at her reaction, Ed also took a bite from his sandwich. Feeling the flavours burst in his mouth, he couldn’t help but agree with her. It was a simple dish, but they seemed to have perfected how to make it. It was just the right temperature that it was warm without burning your mouth, the cheese was delicious and added just the right amount of creamy goodness to the sandwich without being overpowering.
The two enjoyed their meal and were more than a little tempted to stay there for the rest of the day.
