Prompt: After losing his sight to unexplainable circumstances, a man begins to have visions of a faceless being in black robes. It calls itself “the voice on the other side.”

One day his vision grew dark.

He went to the doctors but they just couldn't figure it out, many tests and lots of time.

Eventually it went completely black.

He could still see his dreams though, a reprieve from the darkness.

during the day he slowly adjusted to his now blind life.

One day when he awoke, he could swear he could see a faint outline of something in the darkness.

Every day he woke up it seemed more and more defined.

a shape slowly being etched out of the shadows.

a robed figure. The man thought he was going crazy for sure.

then one day it was as if it was fully real, indistinguishable from reality.

and it spoke to him.

"hello" it said

"who, who are you?" The man said with fear in his voice.

"I am the voice on the other side" the hooded figure replied

"what do you want from me?" The man said almost in a panic

"we've been trying to reach you about your soul's extended warranty"
