Chapter 23 – Kidnapped?

Chapter 23 – Kidnapped?

"Hello, Aile!!!" She cheerily said to Aile and jumped for a hug.

She hugged him tightly.

"Hello, Sara!" Aile replied with a smile.

Then he pretended to be choked from the tight hug.

Sara released her hug and laughed, then turned into her serious voice, "hahaha, Aile, you are so weak. You should eat tiger meat to grow stronger."

"OK, you just wait, I will eat "Proct" meat, and becomes stronger, and... and.... hug you so hard next time!" Said Aile with a serious face, they both looked at each seriously.

"Proct" was a gorilla-like animal known for its strength.

The two looked at each other, and could not hold it in anymore, and burst out laughing.

They just chatted like every other day, after their brief morning show.

After a while, Sara had an anticipating tone, and said, "If you go out to the 2nd street there are so many shops, they all look different, and each one has beautiful things! And there are these nice Aunties and Uncles, they are always so nice to me. And, there at the end of the shop street is Uncle Karl's shop, He sells nice sweet bread. I love that…"

"Aile you are no fun, you never come out with me!" Said Sara with an annoyed tone.

"If I go out with you, then attractive Sara will not have any story to tell me, I do not want that to happen." Said Aile happily.

"Hehe," Sara replied and had a wide smile from the complement.

"Aile, I will be leaving! See you tomorrow." Sara then hugged Aile and left.

Aile had a smile after Sara left, then his face became serious, and he closed his eyes. He was experimenting with mixing his cultivated energy with his senses.

30 minutes passed, and his door was opened.

Aile lost his concentration and was annoyed because he had told Diana, Fiona and Emily to not make noise as to not disturb him when they enter.

When he looked at who it was? It surprised him! He did not expect to see Hazel.

Panting, Hazel asked, "Have you seen Sara? She was meant to come for training 20 minutes ago, but I cannot seem to find her anywhere."

"No, I saw her half an hour ago," said Aile. He remembered her conversation, and he had an awful premonition.

Aile promptly said: "she might have gone to 2nd street! We were talking about that."

Surprised plastered on her face, and she said: "Thank you, Aile!"

She knew full well how much her daughter wanted to go to that street, and would take every opportunity to go there.

She had a thought, "I hope those people do not make trouble for her!"

Aile instantly got up, and loudly called, "Wait, I will go too!"

It surprised Hazel to see Aile, who has never left his room, volunteer to search outside.

She wanted to deny him, but when she saw his worried expression, she hesitantly nodded.

Aile instantly picked up his shoes and wore them. Aile was well aware of the bandit, and pirate groups in town, and he knew that there was enmity between them and Hazel. So he felt the need to solve this problem immediately, or it could be problematic.

From the memories he has been assimilating with, he had learned a lot about how people reacted.

Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author's consent. Report any sightings.

He knew what type of people these pirates and bandits were, and he did not want what happened to Jana to happen again. Thus, he wanted this to be solved as soon as possible and hastened.

Seeing his quick movements, Hazel also hurried, as she felt unease.

So she pickup Aile, and they quickly left.

They reached the 2nd street quickly as they were only 5 minutes away from it.

She wanted to search at each shop along with Aile. He quickly disagreed. He proposed that he would start from the other end of the street, and they can meet somewhere in the middle, to quicken the search process.

Seeing his quick thinking and reasonable approach, she could not disagree.

As soon as Hazel entered the first shop, Aile dashed to her favourite shops based on her description. She had told him about this street so many times, that Aile felt like he knows everything about this street.

The second street was full of food and snacks.

Ailes first location was Aunty Wang's shop. She sold pancakes.

Aile was told that she had not come here.

Then he went to her other favourite shops, after searching three of them he did not find a clue. He was almost at the end of the street when he remembered Uncle Karl's sweet bread shop. He hurried there and found out; she was here not too long ago. Because of the rush hour old man Karl did not see which direction she went, he had assumed she came with someone.

Aile closed his eyes and turned his hearing to the maximum.

In the northern direction, he heard her voice "let me go, you one-eyed monkey!"

Hearing her still safe, it relieved him. He could not help but smile at her words, and he hurried to her location. He did not want to lose her, and he did not know if he told Hazel that "he heard her voice from afar," would she believe him?

Thus, he told old man Karl, that she had gone in the northern direction and if a lady comes looking for her. He should tell her that, "Sara is in the northern direction, and Aile followed after her."

He then focused his energy on his eyes, strengthening his sight, allowing him to see further, and with more clarity. He ran towards the north.

Aile had just come in time. In fact, it had only been 2 minutes since she was taken.

Aile rushing with full speed reached outside of the concentrated area of people. 400 meters ahead of him, he saw a muscly man that had some injury on one of his eyes making it, only open halfway. On his arm was a cute kid.

Seeing the way the man looked, he could not help but chuckle at the nickname Sara gave him "one-eyed monkey."

Aile picked up a small stone and wanted to hurl it at the man. He had seen The Voice do this many times through his inherited memories. But he could not do it here, because he did not have the experience of throwing a rock. It worried him that if he missed, his element of surprise would be lost or worse he could hit Sara.

Aile looked through his memories and quickly thought of another plan. As a child, he knew that he could not fight against an adult who is also a 1st stage cultivator. His muscles were not developed enough, and his body was too small to have an advantage.

He just hoped that his plan would work flawlessly, he knew that in this plan he can make the guy leave Sara. But the problem was if he could get away after that.

He could not wait too long, so he took the risk, anyway. He knew that Hazel would be here in the worst case, and when he frees Sara, he can just delay until she gets here.

He picked another rock.

He held the rocks in both of his hands and once he reached closed to the guy. Meanwhile, he gathered all of his energy in both of his hands and transferred it to the rocks.

When he reached close enough to the burly man, he loudly said: "Mr One-eyed monkey!"

Hearing the insulting, childish voice, the man turned around and saw a little kid.

Seeing the man turn, Aile shouted, "Sara! Watch out!"

Then he with the rock in his hand punched towards the man.

The man saw a little kid, but when he saw the speed of his hands, he felt danger. He never expected a kid on the 1st stage of cultivation. It was too late for him to dodge.

Aile had focused and aimed below his belt. From the memories he had experienced, he knew that this was a big weakness for males, the rock connected with the guy's testicles.

Then Aile heard.

Crack

"Ahhhhhhhh,"

As expected, he brought both of his hands down, letting go of Sara.

Seeing Sara break free he shouted, "Run and get away Sara,"

Then he used his other hand that he had been gathering strength on the rock and punched with it to the person's head.

As his rock connected with the person's head, he saw a hand that got close to him and pushed him.

His body had not developed enough to handle the force, and he felt his insides squish.

He wanted to vomit, but he stopped himself, seeing the scared face of Sara.

He got up from the ground. Every part of his body was hurting, and that sense of vomiting did not go away.

He came close to Sara and wiped the tears from her eyes and said with a forced smile, "Do not run off again if something happens to you, who will tell me a story every morning?"

Then, he turned around and pointed at his back so that Sara could get on.

He did not notice that what Sara was crying about was not the kidnapping attempt. But the blood that was trickling down the right side of his mouth.

When she saw his back, she quickly got on.

From here, she could not see the pained expression on Aile's face from the piggyback ride.

Although Aile felt extreme pain, he was actually more relieved.

He did not want another case of Jana to happen, and he prevented it. He felt accomplished.

He no longer felt useless and helpless like he did during Jana's incident. Although his entire body was hurting and aching, he was contented.
