Chapter 194 - The truth behind the veil

Chapter 194 - The truth behind the veil

Violet got out of the estate with ease, as she had a high ranking guard's uniform. She then went to a tavern, booked a room, changed to civilian clothing and left towards the place she was to meet Hazel.

The meeting location was a cheap tavern, and she needed to ask for a specific room in there, and Hazel would visit her. Arriving at the room, she rested, and only 5 minutes later, the door was knocked.

She realized that it was too quick for Hazel to reach here. Unaware that the second she started packing, Hazel already had the news and was ready to receive her. She left the window open as well as getting her bag ready so that she could run away in case it is some guard of the White Clan sent after her. Violet opened the door slightly and saw Hazel with the same disguise as before in front of her.

Sighing in relief, she invited her and another person young and with a mask. Violet asked if it was Ellie, and she noticed many different features in her. Their height did not match, and she got the expected reply from her that she was not Ellie.

Then she and Hazel talked for a while, and Violet told Hazel of possible problems and schemes of the White Clan. Hazel explained to her that she should leave Port Kiar if she wants to remain free.

Violet should only come back when the situation is calmer here, and she is more powerful. The destination for her being the unique place she had created to hide their force between Port Kiar and Fort Bot.

Of course, her trusted people, and she had plans to make sure that either she becomes fully loyal or become a guest there for an indefinite time.

Violet was reluctant at first, then realized how many shortcomings she had compared to the people at Aile's team. So she agreed with the condition to meet Ellie and go on missions with Aile every so often.

After that, she agreed to depart from here and leave to the place Hazel wanted tomorrow. She also wanted to talk with Ellie before leaving. Although Violet trusted Hazel, a little bit of apprehension remained.

She wanted to inform her friend of what is happening so that someone knew where she would be at. Hazel agreed to that, she was also planning to send Ellie, Diana and some other people there as the climate in Port Kiar was too volatile. She was also aware of powerful people in the 8th stage appearing, as one had emerged and Heian left with her.

She could not stop her, and seeing Guang with her, she knew that Aile knew about it. She, like Aile, was worried and hoped that he did not get into a fight over Guang with her. Hazel had sent someone to check on Aile. Unlike what Aile was thinking, Hazel did not care once she established that Guang and Heian will be safe, and Aile would not end up embroiled in a new conflict. In fact, Hazel was happier with them gone. Once they confirmed their plan, Hazel told her that Ellie will meet her soon and she should remain here.

Leaving with Zero, the two left the tavern.

"Isn't it better to send her somewhere far away?" said Zero.

"She knows Aile's identity, it is better to keep her close, in case, she spills the beans. Plus Aile is not planning to visit the hideout/secret location anytime soon."

" Oh and Zero, I will be busy with something can you take the letter she will send to Hunter before leaving. Make sure to pass it via one of our spies to make him receive it."

"What letter?"

"Once she is gone, she wants him to not worry and will send him a message?"

The two of them left back to send Ellie to Violet and make some preparations. Hazel, however, had realized and resolve something that had previously stood out to her. She had been thinking why Aile had been risking everything to restore her condition with Sara. Although it is inconvenient and something that has kept her up every fortnight when her mind gets a short rest from the Adventures' Union. Aile should not be risking his life to solve these problems.

Hazel initially thought that he was planning to prove himself to her. Since then, the thought had stayed in the back of her head. However, after meeting that 8th stage powerhouse, she found out she might die, or Sara might die. The problem seemed much more severe. She only had to be told a little before she pieced the rest of the puzzle.

She was mad at Aile, he did not have the right to decide the future for her and Sara. Keeping them apart and not letting them know that their previous meeting might be their last made her very angry. She had almost gotten to start a fight with the 8th stage cultivator. As she was accusing her of using an inhumane method to take the precious life of Sara created using such forbidden techniques. Yet Heian acted as a mediator and seeing her tears, Mei realized that perhaps she was not aware of it. Heian shed some light to her about her daughter, and then it hit Mei that she might have caused another problem for Aile.

Leaving the words, "He seems very competent, you should trust him to solve it for you," she disappeared.

Hazel's rage did not die down, but knowing that she could not find Aile to gave him an earful, she could only take some time to reflect. After her rage subsided a little, she noticed and remembered Aile's action since he found her problem. The extreme solitude to get his training done sooner. Followed by risking his life in the Sacred Mountain, the immediate departure to the tomb after in search of soul artefact and making a risky trade with that lady demon.
