What's New Pussycat?

What's New Pussycat?

In the morning, the next day, Steven walked up to Marty, who was waiting in front of Seven’s dorm door. “Sup, Steven.” Steven waved his hand, and knocked on Seven’s door. Seven opened the door, and Steven gave him the ‘Bash’ disk. “This time, I’m certain I’ll get better,” Marty told the two. “We’ll see about that,” Steven told him. Seven inserted the disk into the game console, and they started playing the game. Marty kept losing. “Man, it’s not fair when you play those overpowered characters.” They heard a knock on the door. “That must be Iris,” Marty said as he went towards the door. “Wait,” Seven tried to stop him as he opened the door. At the door there was a girl in a maid dress with long grape purple hair. She had a slender physique and an inviting aroma surrounding her. She had a white cat ear headband and a fake white cat tail connecting from her waist. She asked Marty, “Umm...are you one of master’s friends nya?” Marty quickly responded, “Nope, wrong room!” He then slammed the door. “Hey, Marty, that was rude,” Steven told him. “Sorry about that you guys,” Seven said to them, as he began walking towards the door. “That was Felicity Lienine, a student in my theatre class. My teacher is making us act as roles with a partner for the whole day. My role is an eccentric billionaire that has used his money for kind of stupid things, like making cat girls real. And her role is a cat girl maid that he hired.” Seven then cleared his throat, and opened the door. “Ms. Lienine, I am eternally sorry for my friends, for they don’t quite understand my motivations for creating the cat people race.” “I understand, master. I came because I thought you’d perhaps need help during this morning, nya.” “I do in fact need help. All night I was busy working on an automatic bathtub that turns on as soon as you enter it, of course at the right temperature.” “95 degrees fahrenheit, right master?” “Oh of course, you know me so well Ms. Lienine. I’d like for you to clean the tub for me please. It still has water in it, so please do be careful with getting wet.” “Alright master! I’ll make sure it’s spotless, nya!” She then took a broom, and stood in the middle of the bathtub, still with water in it. She then started brooming the tub. “Uhh,” Steven went as he saw what was happening. “Just like that, Ms. Lienine! Please inform me when you finish, I’ll be playing a video game with my friends.” She went “Mhm,” as she happily broomed the tub. Seven then sat back down, and Marty said, “You know, I usually don’t like saying things like these, but she’s very pretty.” Steven agreed, “Yeah, I agree.” They played again, and Marty lost. “Come on man, this game is unfair and you both know it. You wouldn’t be winning if we were playing on the Expecto 69!” Seven walked over to behind his TV stand. “You mean, this Expecto 69?” He then lifted up an old game console, with a game cartridge with the words “Bash 69” on it. Marty boasted, “Oh yeah, I’m way too good on the 69!” Seven set it up, and there was a knock on the door. He opened it, and this time it was actually Iris. She was wearing a crimson leather jacket. “Hey Seven. After learning some Peacock combos, I think I can finally do the Pea-Pea combo.” Seven told her, “We’re playing Bash 69 right now, so I don’t think you can do that.” Iris sat down and they started a game of Bash 69. “The sad part about this game is that Hyena isn’t in it,” Seven said. Then, another knock was at the door. “Who on earth…” Seven mumbled. He opened the door, and it was Victoria. She pointed to Iris, and proclaimed “Iris Ingrene of the Ingrene family, I will not hold back! Today is the day that I finally show how superior I am in the dark magics!” Iris stood up, clearing her throat and threatened her, “Victoria Vellum of the Vellum bloodline, if you think you can ever defeat me then you are critically mistaken. If you take one more step, I will make sure that your family name turns into nothing more than a mockery of the land.” Victoria then stepped inside of the room, “Do you think I am really scared of you anymore? After our battle 6 years ago, I have trained to a point in which my body only knows dark magic. Even still, you look down upon me? That is a mistake that will cost your life!” “Oh yeah? Do you really believe that you have enough power to beat me? The family infamous for their disgrace upon all generations of dark magicians, the Vellums have not beaten a single battle. And yet you are too stupid to realize that fate cannot be changed, you will die a fool.” “You’re wrong, Iris Ingrene! Fate can be changed! The fact that I am even standing in front of a dark magician with high prominence such as yourself is proof enough of that. I will twist fate to make a future...one where the Vellum name is said with the highest bit of respect!” Marty walked up to Seven, and asked him, “Are they doing the same thing as you guys?” Seven answered, “Yeah, they’re both rivaling dark magicians.” Victoria turned her back to Iris, “It seems there are others in this room. For the sake of honoring their lives, I will not fight you here. BUT KNOW NOW, that I will make sure I have shown my superiority the next time we meet. Remember that, Iris Ingrene.” She then walked out the room, and slammed the door behind her. “What is with people and slamming the door…” Seven mumbled. They all started playing, and Felicity had finished. She walked up to Seven, and asked, “Master, I know this is selfish of me to ask, especially after I came offering my help, but can I go home, nya?” “Why not? It’s never good to overwork yourself Ms. Lienine. If I really need your assistance, I’ll call you, but you shouldn’t spend all your time on me.” She said, “Thanks, master,” and turned to the others. “And to the friends of my master, I hope you all are well.” She bowed, and left the room. The friends had continued playing until the first bell rang.

Period 4, Journalism

“Oh students of mine,” Mr. Noronake went, “That damned theatre teacher changed the whole school with that project of hers, so you all are gonna be writing a newspaper article about your theatre roles. And if you aren’t in the theatre, don’t worry, just make something up. This story is stupid enough for anything to make sense.” The students started writing their articles. Steven’s was titled, “Two teens can see the future, somehow they both die.” Marty’s was titled, “Man becomes super powerful by changing how he breathes.” Iris’ was “Two dark magicians tell each other about how they’re gonna fight each other, they never end up fighting.” Seven’s was, “Billionaire creates cat people race, we have some questions on why.”

Afterschool

Once school was done, Steven went with Seven from 7th period to his dorm. He met up with Iris and Marty there. They started playing Bash. Felicity came to watch them play. Seven won sometimes, Steven won sometimes, Iris almost never won, and well...Marty wasn’t having the best day. Eventually Iris left. Followed by Marty. Then Steven, who left saying, “Alright Seven, that was good fun. I’ll be heading out now.”

Perspective Shift: Seven

As he left, Seven turned to Felicity, who was still there. He silently gasped, “O-Oh, hey Ms. Lienine. Shouldn’t you be leaving as well?” Felicity put her finger up to her mouth, “Master, if it isn’t too selfish of me to ask, may you please teach me about that Bash game you and your friends were playing.” Seven responded, “Sure, you should take Steven’s controller. He’s a bit of a try-hard, so it’s still warm.” She picked up the controller, which was a little moist. Seven stood up, and stretched a bit. “I’ve been sitting for so long, I think I’ll take a short break.” He took off his thick wool jacket, which revealed a gray undershirt. “I think I’m a little familiar with this game,” Felicity told Seven. “That should make this easier then,” Seven sat next to her, “You’ve at least seen us play, so you should be able to somewhat understand the controls. The easiest character for a new person to play is probably Caracal, since it’s moveset was made with simplicity in mind.” Seven put the game into a training mode, and chose Caracal for her. He then gave her the controller. “Alright, now press the A button to do a normal move.” “Umm...alright, nya.” When she pressed the button, Caracal did a little swipe forwards, while grunting a little. Seven commented on it, “Hey, the character kinda sounds like you, Ms. Lienine.” Felicity responded, “Hehe...that’s because I voiced that character…” Seven looked at her stupefied, “Eh...Uh...WHAT!? FOR REAL?!” She nodded her head, “I used to be a voice actor, and I remember this game being my last role.” “Huh? Why was this your last role?” Felicity looked down, her smile slowly fading to a frown. She quickly lifted her head back up, and smiled at Seven, “It isn’t important. Anyway, we should get back to the game. I believe I know how to do the special move. If it’s A for a normal one, then it should be B for a special one. Can you teach me one of those BnB combos, those are super important if I remember. Also, what does BnB stand for, does it stand for Breed N’ Breed, like the strip club a few blocks down?” Seven answered her, “It stands for Bread N’ Butter, I don’t really know how Breed N’ Breed would work in a fighting game.” Felicity giggled, and told Seven, “You gamers always make the funniest terms.” She got up onto Seven’s shoulder, and whispered in his ear, “Well, I could always make Breed N’ Breed work for you master…” She then backed up and held tightly onto her controller, “Just kidding of course! Now, let’s get back to the game, I wanna learn more about this bread and butter.” Seven laughed a bit, and said, “Alright, if you don’t mind…” He put his hands over hers on the controller. “It’s easier for me to help you like this.” For the rest of the evening, Seven taught Felicity about the game. Seven had finished teaching Felicity about the game, and he stood up to say “Alright, I think that’s all you need to know to play on a semi casual level. Eventually, you’ll learn which characters suit you and be able to play on a competitive level.” Felicity replied, “Thank you so much master! I really appreciate what you’ve done for me today.” Seven opened the window, and noticed it was really dark outside. “Holy...What time is it?” He checked his phone, and saw that it was 12:03. “Oh my god, to think I spent so much time playing the game.” Felicity stood up, looking at her phone and checking the time as well. “Well, I guess that means our acting is over. I’ll be going now, Seven, good night!” She then left his dorm room, and Seven laid on his bed, excited about what just happened. “I can’t believe I spent so much time with such a nice girl, what a lucky day,” he thought to himself. Then Felicity knocked on his door. He opened it, and Felicity asked him, “I forgot something in my 4th period classroom in the C building. It’s really dark in the halls, and I’m...a little scared to go alone. So could you please come with me?” Seven answered, “Sure, why not.” He went with her through the gloomy hallways of the dorm building, to the hallways that were moonlit from the windows in the C building. As they were walking, Felicity quickly ran behind Seven. Seven felt a cold feeling on the back of his head. It didn’t take long for him to realize that Felicity had a gun pointed to the back of his head. Her hands were shaking, and her voice was too. “I...I have to...I have to do this, Seven…” Felicity’s fingers touched the tip of the trigger, and the air fell silent, “But, I’m too weak…” She fell on her knees, dropped her gun, and started crying, “I was told to kill you, but I can’t. I’m too weak. Even though we were acting, I know your kindness was genuine. I lied about losing something here to try and kill you but...I’m sorry...I’ve ruined this job I needed to do...and I’ve ruined our friendship…” Seven held his hand out, and Felicity looked at him confused. “I forgive you Felicity, please don’t say those things about yourself.” She grabbed onto his hand, and stood back up while wiping away her tears. She hugged Seven, “I don’t deserve your kindness.” They started walking back, and there was the sound of footsteps behind them. However, neither of them realized. The person behind them had picked up the gun Felicity left behind. “I knew you couldn’t do it,” the mysterious person behind them said. In less than a split second, they shot Felicity through the heart, and pointed their gun at the back of Seven’s head. “Don’t turn around, I won’t hesitate to shoot,” the person said. Felicity’s body fell to the ground. Seven couldn’t see the person since they were directly behind him. Another person came from behind, and this person was sort of hopping while dancing. “Hey, wait wait! This is that Seven guy, right? Let me kill him, I wanna have some fun.” The person with the gun replied, “Fine. Did you get the grapes?” “Mhm mhm! Never ever would I forget!” “Did they give you the Great Western Food Day discount?” “Yep! And you said it’d be too early for that!” “Whatever, Carlonoah. Can you throw me a set of grapes, I’m hungry.” “Sure man, but you shouldn’t be eating so late!” He threw a set of grapes at the person with the gun, and they caught it and ate all of the grapes in one go. “Alright,” the person with the gun said, as he started walking away, “Have fun.” Seven quickly turned around, and the person who was holding the gun was too far for him to see. However, the other person was right in front of him. It was a boy with a child-like face, with long half purple half green bangs. He was wearing a gold yellow sweater, and had two shotguns strapped to his back. “Seven Seven Seven...who names their child after a number?” Seven sighed, and looked down at Felicity with concern. He said in his head, “Surely, her wounds aren’t fatal...She can still be healed by the healer...right?” “Hey hey Seven,” The other student said, “Your signature is Wonderwall, the signature that grants luck, right right?” Seven looked at him angrily, “What’s it to you?” The student looked shocked at him, “Huh huh? I thought you were supposed to be the nice one of your group.” The student began raising his arms. “Anyway, what is with your name? I mean, seven? Not a very good number, personally I would’ve chosen a name that sounds more interesting, like one thousand. But to each their own, some are cool and some are not. And you are very much not cool. Not cool not cool, you know, your not coolness is pretty visible even with the low lighting. Visible visible indeed. My name is Carlonoah Argilago. Pretty cool, yeah?” “I’m not going to entertain you,” Seven said, as he pulled out a grenade from his pocket. “Leave me alone.” Carlonoah pulled up his sleeves, and big clumps of clay that were stored there fell. He started laughing, “Haha, haha! You are an interesting guy! Funny too. There’s a few things you do for me, Seven. You interest me, entertain me, but Seven, you don’t scare me.” Carlonoah began snapping his fingers rhythmically, and the clumps of clay on the ground began taking form as small humans. The small humans were snapping their fingers as well. “Well, with my signature, there’s no reason for me to ever be scared of someone as weak as you. You hear? Weak weak! Magalenha, my signature, is truly powerful!” He looked to the clay people, and pointed at Seven. “Now, clay people, attack him!” The clay people began parading towards Seven. Seven threw his grenade, and one of the clay people jumped up and ate it. The grenade quickly exploded inside the clay person, and the clay turned to a huge dust cloud, which covered the hallway and obscured the students from each other’s views. When the smoke cleared up, Seven was standing slightly further away from Carlonoah. Where Felicity’s body once was, was instead replaced by a blood trail that led into a nearby classroom, which had it’s door opened. Carlonoah deduced, “So, you’ve hid that girl’s body in there, haven’t you? It doesn’t matter to me, she’s dead anyway.” Seven only had two grenades in his pocket. The clay people, who were still parading towards him, had grabbed clay from their own bodies to make small clay spears. "You don't have that grenade launcher nor your flamethrower, so do you really believe the power of luck can help you now?" Seven slowly started backing up, and said "As a matter of fact, I do.” He ran into a nearby classroom, separate from the one where Felicity’s body was. The clay people began throwing their spears at him, which were hitting him. He blocked any hitting his face with his arm, and shut the door of the room. The clay dolls then started banging on the door, climbing on each other and violently trying to go through the space under the door. Carlonoah walked up to the door, with a grin on his face. He pulled one of his shotguns from his back, and shot a hole through the door. “BLAM!” The clay people started going through the hole, and broke the door down. However, Seven was nowhere to be found inside of the room. Carlonoah looked to the closed closet, and said, “Oh poor you poor you! Still thinking you can leave this place alive. You truly are an interesting fellow. Clinging onto a false hope, I feel really bad. I hope this shot doesn’t kill you, I’d like to watch you die to my clay people.” Carlonoah stood in front of the closet, and the clay people were crowding and climbing around the closet. The clay people then made space for Carlonoah to shoot a hole into the door. He did, “BLAM!” and saw no one in the closet. Then, before any of the clay people could even begin going through the hole, Seven’s leg dropped from the roof of the closet, and kicked a grenade to Carlonoah. Seven was inside of the closet, but at the top of it by holding onto a railing that was aligned at the top. The grenade was gonna be caught by a clay person, but it was too late, and was instead blown up right in front of the clay person. Carlonoah was hurt by the explosion, and backed up a bit before falling to the ground. Seven kicked the closet door open with his foot, and the clay people began entering. Seven then swung his body out of the closet using the railing, while the clay people were still inside. He threw his last grenade at the closet, and the clay people all blew up. There were no more. Carlonoah pulled his second shotgun from his back, and shot the ceiling. Instead of it shooting a shotgun shell, it shot clay. The clay from the ceiling fell to the ground, and turned into more clay people. Carlonoah shot more at the ceiling, and commanded the clay people, “Throw yourselves at him! Use the Trebuchet Form!” A bunch of clay people began merging together to create a trebuchet catapult. Then, a clay person went into the trebuchet to be shot towards Seven, and landed right on his neck. Seven pulled the clay person off from his neck, but another clay person was shot on his cheek. This clay person began stabbing at his cheek. Another clay person landed on his arm. And another landed on his shoulder. More and more began getting on him and stabbing him. He looked to the window of the room, and was shocked at what he found. Through the window, he saw his flamethrower lying on the grass. He tried walking over there, but the clay people on him were weighing him down and making it hard to move. After slowly staggering over to the window, he took the clay person that was on his cheek. He turned the person’s arm that was holding the spear towards the window, and pushed it into the window. It made a crack in the window, and with all of his strength, Seven jumped into the window to break it and get to the other side. He fell to the ground, and many of the clay people that were on him had been dispersed. Seven picked up his flamethrower, and began burning the clay people. They hardened and stopped moving. Seven got back into the room. Carlonoah got up, holding onto one of the desks. He shot some clay at the ground, and told the people that formed from it, “Compact Ball Form!” They all merged into a small clay ball, which must’ve been the size of a bullet. The ball then rolled into the trebuchet, and shot towards Seven. Seven used the flamethrower on the ball, and Carlonoah beamed, “What an interesting outcome! You’ve hardened the ball, and now it’s gonna be a fatal fatal hit!” The ball hit Seven through the chest, and it went out through his back. He fell to his knees. “Me and my great pal, we always always get the kill. No matter how interesting you may be, I’m sure I’ll add you to the kill count.” He tried shooting his shotgun with clay again, but it went “Click, Click.” It was empty. He picked up the clay trebuchet, and formed it into a big clay ball. He then threw the ball at Seven. The ball landed on his neck, and formed six clay people who had their spears pointed towards Seven’s neck. Carlonoah told the clay people, “Make it slow, that would be way more interesting!” The clay people slowly started inserting the spears into Seven’s neck, and he groaned. In his head, he thought, “I...I can’t die. If I do...who’s gonna save Felicity. She must still be in that room, her heart was shot...but surely...I can still save her...I have to…” He pointed his flamethrower towards his neck, and yelled, “I HAVE TO SAVE HER!” He turned on the flamethrower, and burnt all of the clay people around it. The clay people hardened, and fell to the ground. However, his neck was now on fire. There was a girl running around the outside of the school. This girl was Clara Clark. She ran to the window with her eyes closed, and squealed, “Victoria! I’ve finally caught you! Now, taste this water balloon!” She then threw a water balloon at Seven, which put out the fire. When she opened her eyes, she realized the scene that was going on in front of her. She screamed, “AIEEEE!!!!” she began running off. Carlonoah said to himself, “No witnesses,” and tried to shoot at Clara. “BLAM!” However, Seven blocked the shot with his body. Clara safely got away, but Seven was injured by the shot. He held his flamethrower up, and staggered over to Carlonoah. He fired the flamethrower, holding his hand on the trigger. Carlonoah backed up to dodge the flames, and Seven’s movements were lagging. Seven dropped the flamethrower, and fell to the ground. He looked up to Carlonoah, who was about 2 feet away from him, and in the hallway. “Seven Trecidecim, I’ve never had to kill anyone with my shotgun. That was interesting, but as I said, this will be easy.” Seven looked at him, and saw a figure behind him in the hallway. The figure jumped at Carlonoah’s shoulder, and ripped it open. He screamed, “WHAT!?” When Seven got a good look, he saw that what ripped the shoulder open were two big claws. He saw that the person who ripped Carlonoah’s shoulder open was Felicity. Felicity ripped his shoulder open even more, and his arm fell off. He fell backwards, and Felicity got back on her feet. The fake cat tail and cat ear headband she adorned had been replaced by a tail and ears that matched her hair color. They were moving naturally. Her tail was swaying from side to side, and her ears were twitching regularly. Felicity went up to Seven, and asked him, “Are you alright?” Seven got up, coughing a little, “Yeah, thanks Felicity. You saved me.” Felicity told him, “I should be telling you that.” Seven looked at her chest. “Your wound is gone.” Felicity explained, “My signature is What’s New Pussycat. It allows me to turn into a cat person, which…” She looked at her claws and her tail, “I’m sure you can tell. Anyway, there’s a superstition that goes around about cats. You’ve heard it before, right? That cats have nine lives. Well, with my signature, that’s true.” Seven admired her ears, and put his hand out to caress and feel the texture of them. “That’s amazing. I’m glad you’re alright, Felicity.” Felicity was tickled a little, “Hehe, my ears are so sensitive. It’s getting pretty late, we should start heading back to our dorm rooms.” Seven agreed, “Yeah,” and they started walking over to the dorm building, past Carlonoah’s dying body. When they were walking through the courtyard, Felicity held onto Seven’s arm, and told him, “You know Seven, I was the one who brought your flamethrower over for you. And, I was gonna leave until I saw how hard you were fighting for me...then, I had to repay the favor.” Seven told her, “Thank you. But, why were you gonna shoot me?” Felicity explained, “The person who shot me is a trained assassin. I don’t know why, but he told me that if I killed you, then he’d give me a lot of money. And...I really needed money.” Felicity rubbed on Seven’s burnt neck. “Your injury reminds me of what happened a year ago. While I was still voice acting, I got a hereditary throat illness...and when I had surgery to fix it, the way I spoke changed. I got really insecure about my voice and quit voice acting. My family isn’t necessarily rich, or comfortable...so we began having money issues…” Seven told her, “I’m really sorry that happened to you. But, if it makes you feel any better, I really like your voice.” Felicity leaned onto him, and closed her eyes, “Thank you.”

Chapter 13.5: Teen Spirit

Earlier that day

Perspective Shift: Steven

Steven left Seven’s room, after playing against him in Bash. He got a text message in a group chat he was in with Seven, Marty, and Iris. Iris sent, “Hey guys, come over to my dorm room. There’s this anime I’ve been meaning to watch, but I felt like I should watch it with you guys.” Steven responded, “I’ll be there.” Marty responded, “I mean I’ll come but if it’s a hentai I’m leaving on the spot.” They both went over to Iris’ room. Marty asked Iris, “Got any popcorn?” Iris told him, “In the upper rightmost drawer.” Marty popped popcorn in the microwave. Steven told her, “Damn, we should have waited till tomorrow to do this since it’s the Great Western Food Day.” Iris said, “That’s true, but it’s whatever.” Once Marty put the popcorn in a big bowl, he joined the two and looked at the anime title. “Oh oh! I think I know this anime from a meme.” Iris sighed, and asked, “Is it the succubus meme…” “Yessss! It is too funny!” “I hate that meme, I see it too much on social media.” Steven chimed in, “Ohhh, I think I know what you guys are talking about. That meme is pretty funny to be honest.” “Ugh, whatever. Anyway, Seven didn’t respond to my text.” Steven told them, “When I left, he was with that Felicity girl.” Marty looked shocked, “Huh? So they’re together, and he’s not responding?!” Steven realized what he was trying to say, “No way.” “Yes way.” “No way,” Iris shut down the conversation, with her eyes closed. “They’re just playing Bash right now. But it is pretty humorous thinking that they’re up to something else. Hehehe...” Steven said, “Well, if he’s still playing then we might as well start watching the anime.” They then started watching the anime.

Perspective Shift: Victoria

Victoria was sitting in the library, reading a book titled, “A boy and his water balloon.” Ivy came up to her, and asked, “Hey, Violet. I think on Friday you said that your signature allows you to make things out of books, right? Can you do anything with this?” She handed Ivy a book titled, “Badass Fashion.” Victoria flipped through the pages, and looked at her, “My name is Victoria...but yeah, I can make these. What do you want me to make and from which page?” Ivy told her, “Page uh...72. I honestly like everything from this book but I don’t even know what I exactly would like to wear. Just do whatever you think looks cool I suppose.” Victoria flipped to page 72. She used Teen Spirit to make black leather jeans with white fluffing swirling around it, and handed it to Ivy. Ivy inspected the jeans, impressed, “Damn...I gotta tell my friends about you!” Victoria told her, “Please don’t.” Ivy asked her, “So where do you think I could wear this? Out at a mall? A party? A movie theater?” Victoria advised, “Well definitely not a movie theater, there’s no point in wearing it if no one can see it. A party might work but the fluffing seems a little overkill. If you’re trying out clothes at a mall then the fluffing will get in the way. It gives off a comforting vibe, but with your chain it also gives off a commanding vibe. Like a father. Perhaps it’d be good to wear it when you’re on a date. it visually tells the person you’re going with the type of person you are, without being too on the nose.” Ivy was shocked, “Oh my, how do you know that much about fashion?” “The books taught me.” “I’d never expect that much information to be given.” Ivy was about to leave but remembered something, “Oh, I almost forgot. Can you make something, anything? I just want to see how detailed it is. Like perhaps that water balloon in that book you’re reading.” Victoria told her, “The title is referring to a metaphorical water balloon. But there is a real one in the beginning of the book.” She flipped to the first page, and made a water balloon. “Here you go,” She gave it to Ivy. Ivy said, “Thanks,” and walked a few feet away. She then threw the water balloon at Victoria. Victoria quickly took a book about western bodies of water, and made water in her left hand. She caught the balloon with her hand, and since it was touching water it didn’t pop. Victoria got rid of the water, and asked Ivy, “What was that for?” Ivy told her, “For beating me in Bash.” Victoria warned her, “You asked for this!” She threw the balloon at Ivy, but Ivy dodged. The balloon hit Clara, who was walking off in the distance. Clara asked Victoria, “What was that for?” “She was aiming for you, Clara,” Ivy instigated. Victoria shrugged, and kept reading her book. “I see how it is, Victoria! You want to have a water balloon fight with me, eh? Well, I am the damn greatest at water balloon fights. As a matter of fact, let me get a water balloon right now.” Clara was about to go, but Victoria told her, “Wait.” Victoria got up, and closed her book. “I’m actually gonna leave this place, I’ve done enough reading for today. I’ll be hiding somewhere else around the school, and you’ll have to find me. If it’s dark outside, I’ll light something up so you can see me. But my hiding spot will be perfect, and far from here!” Clara scoffed, “Well alright then! I’ll be searching for you!” She then left, and Victoria watched her. As soon as she saw Clara leave the building, she went to sit back down in her original spot. Ivy was confused, “Hey, I thought you said that you read enough for today.” Victoria replied, “There’s no such thing as enough reading.”
