Sound Of The Police

Sound Of The Police

The four students stopped in their tracks, Steven taking out his pistol from his pocket. “Who are you, and what the hell do you want?” The lights cut on, revealing the girl’s fiendish grin. There were also three big metal capsules beside her, they were a few feet taller than her. “Well,” she started, “I suppose you four do need an explanation. My name is Justine Justice. I’m a police officer that’s fairly prominent in the department. As for what I want…well you four should at least have the slightest bit of an idea.” “You’re gonna arrest us?” asked Seven. “No,” Iris answered for her, “It appears she’s got something more planned for us.” She then turned to Justine, with her eyes closed, “Why don’t you tell us about your hidden friends.” The three boys were confused, but Justine started snickering, “Kuhuhu…clever Iris…” She turned away from the four, and blushed a little bit, “You know…it’s a shame. We could’ve dated if things didn’t go this way…” She cleared her throat, and turned back to them, “Unfortunately, this is how things have to be. You four have been shown to be problematic. Last week you had a fight almost every day. Do you really think that’s normal? You guys are a threat to not only the school, but the world. By normal protocol, this would be where I arrest you guys. However, that fate will be saved for your accomplices, like Akifumi Noronake and Cato Pulmonis. For you four, the punishment is death.” Marty told her, “Mr. Noronake is just a teacher, there’s no reason to get him involved.” “Really now?” She cocked her eyebrow, “I know he’s a signature user, and the one who gave you weapons.” Seven was about to ask something, but Justine took the words right out of his mouth, “But how on Earth could I possibly know that? I’ve got a private eye that has been watching you for a while now…but before I tell you more about him, why don’t I explain my signature. It’s called Sound Of The Police, and it allows me to…” she then pointed her finger up, and made a curved metal plate around it, “Do stuff like this. As Iris has mentioned, there are three people hidden in the three metal capsules you see around me. This one next to me,” She pointed to the one on her right, “I’ll let him greet himself to you guys.” The metal capsule started dissipating from the top, going all the way down to the bottom. The first thing that is visible is a dark blue fedora, and then a face familiar to the four students. The private eye who had been watching them was Filip Forge. “Hello Steven, Marty, Iris, Seven.” Marty was confused, “Filip? What the hell…man…I thought you were just a blacksmithing guy.” Filip held out his smithing hammer, “I am in fact a blacksmith, but I take my job as a private investigator very seriously. This is simply justice being bestowed upon you four.” “I should continue,” Justine said. “I had him watch you all for a while, and then I got an assassin to finish you off.” The capsule to the left of Justine started dissipating downwards as well, and it was Pirello in that one with a tire lying on the ground. “Would that be The Stem Assassin?” Iris asked. “Pirello Chance!” Marty told her, “His name is Pirello Chance. I was just fighting against him earlier and then he fled!” Seven looked confused, “Him? Marty, isn’t that a girl?” Pirello looked at Seven, “Seven Trecidecim. I am not a girl. I’m the man who’s gonna kill you, and avenge Carlonoah. You’ll pay for what you’ve done.” Seven winced in guilt. Steven asked Justine, “Doesn’t this go against your moral code? I mean he’s an assassin, he kills people for money. How do you justify that?” Justine answered, “He won’t after this. I’ve made a deal with him. If he kills at least one of you guys, I’ll relieve him of all of his crimes. He’s agreed with me not to do any more assassinations.” Steven asked, “Well what if we agree not to start any more conflicts?” “Then you’d be lying. You guys can’t control that. You aren’t trained and are just trouble magnets.” “To be honest, everyone in Florida is like that,” Seven added. “I think it’s time you’ve met the last person,” Justine shifted her focus on the last capsule next to Filip that hadn’t been opened yet. “He’s probably the one who’s itching to fight already…” The capsule dissipated downwards, and who was in it had shocked Steven, Seven, and Marty. Iris already had seen inside the capsules with Slide Zone, so it didn’t phase her much. Inside was the 6’5 muscular behemoth of a 14 year old that was…Ignited Justice. Fitted with his signature outfit and domino mask shrouding his identity. “Anything you’d like to say?” Justine asked him. He answered, not with words, but with a simple deep breath, which spoke enough to her. Justine pulled out her gun from her holster, “Well you guys, it’s been a pleasure to meet you all in person. But now…I think it’s time to get serious.” Seven took out his grenade launcher, with his flamethrower on his back. Steven readied his pistol, with his tommy gun on his back if he’d need it. Iris took out her collapsed bo staff from her jacket. Marty got into a fighting position. Pirello bent down with his finger in the middle of his tire and it started spinning. Justine was spinning her pistol. Filip held his smithing hammer over his shoulder. Ignited Justice was just standing. “Now, let the battle begin!” Justine shot into the air to signify the start of the battle. Ignited Justice immediately charged Marty, “YOUR JUSTICE IS HERE!” He gave Marty a heavy punch that sent him flying back through the shelves, making some of them fall. Iris looked back, “Holy shit.” She then used Slide Zone, and dodged Filip, who tried to hit her with his hammer. Steven shot at Justine, who deflected the bullet back at him with a metal plate. The bullet hit his shoulder. Seven was watching Pirello, who took his finger out from the middle of the tire. The tire stood upright, and started chasing after Seven. Seven ran from the tire, and started going up a ladder to avoid it. Meanwhile, Marty was on the ground, hurt from the punch. When he looked up, he saw Ignited Justice standing over him. Marty tried to punch him, but Ignited Justice caught his arm and threw him through the warehouse wall, outside of it. Ignited Justice followed Marty, “YOUR EVIL DOINGS WILL END NOW, CRIMINAL!”

Chapter 19.25: Holding Out For A Hero

Pov Shift: Marty

Marty got back up, backing away from Ignited Justice and going further outside. Ignited Justice followed. Marty tried to think of how to beat him, thinking in his head, “Hmm…let’s see…his guy’s bulky, so maybe he isn’t that fast…” Marty ran up to him, sliding through the space between his two legs. Marty was about to get back up, but Ignited Justice quickly turned around and elbowed Marty. Marty fell to the ground on his back, looking up to the cloudy sky. He sighed, “God damn…” Ignited Justice tried to punch Marty, but Marty dodged. Marty got back up, but he noticed something. When Ignited Justice lifted his fist from the ground, the grass seemed black. Marty looked closely at Ignited Justice, and his upper body started seeming a little blurry. “JUSTICE WILL ALWAYS PREVAIL!” Ignited Justice boomed. His arms then were covered in flames. “THIS IS HOLDING OUT FOR A HERO!” He tried to punch Marty, but he dodged. Marty then tried to do a counterattack, throwing his fist up towards Ignited Justice’s face. However, it missed and Ignited Justice grabbed his arm and threw him to the ground. He then kicks Marty. Ignited Justice said, in a less loud voice, “You cannot beat me, you may as well give up now. Good will always defeat evil, and so there is no way for you to win this fight.” Marty got back up with both of his fists clenched, “That’s…exactly why I’ll win this fight.” He slid through the space between Ignited Justice’s legs again, but when Ignited turned back, he saw a blue butterfly. “I almost forgot how your signature works.” He then trapped the butterfly in between his two hands by clasping them together. He then put his hands on fire and started burning the butterfly inside. Then, Marty, covered in burns, turned back into a human and kicked Ignited’s face. Marty fell to the ground, and quickly stood back up. He coughed up a bit of blood. When he looked back at Ignited Justice, he saw that the kick was ineffective against him. “Like I said, you should stay down. The universe sides with those like me. Only true justice will ever win.” Marty wiped the blood off his chin, “But…what you’re doing is not…” “Of course, you feel that way. Everyone is the hero of their own stories. But there is one true justice in this universe, and only those on that path can ever win. Let’s think about our two signatures. Yours mimics the beauty of nature, bastardizing it even. Mine? I use the driving force of the natural world.” He pointed up into the sky, “I use the sun! As long as it’s shining, so will I!” He then charged at Marty, and Marty looked at his still clenched fist. He threw the dirt that he was holding inside of it at Ignited’s eyes, and dodged the charge. Ignited Justice tried to get the dirt out of his eyes, but stopped. “If this is what you believe you need to win, then I’ll keep my eyes closed. Just to show you that my justice will prevail.” Marty tried to throw another punch, but Ignited, still with his eyes closed, dodged the punch and delivered his own punch which sent Marty falling to the ground. Marty looked up to the sky, and saw the clouds getting grayer. Marty was lost, thinking about how he could land a hit. Then he had an idea. He used Lose Yourself to turn into a butterfly, and flew around. He then turned back into a human, and punched Ignited Justice in the face. However, it was ineffective. He didn’t even flinch. Marty was damn-near about to lose it, thinking in his head, “What the hell man. What steroids is this guy on?” Then, it started raining. The dirt in Ignited Justice’s eyes was washed out, and he looked up, “Florida weather. This’ll probably only last for a minute.” He then grabbed Marty by his shirt collar, and started punching him in the head over and over again. He returned to his loud voice, “JUSTICE! JUSTICE! JUSTICE! JUSTICE!” He finished it off with a hard punch that sent Marty flying back. Marty was on the ground, his head bleeding. He got back up, “This is nothing to…” He stumbled down, as everything around him was getting blurry. “Stay down,” Ignited Justice ordered him. Marty took deep breaths, and stood back up. He yelled, “With all of my energy left, I’LL BEAT YOU!” Ignited Justice laughed, “You can still get up after that? I’ll acknowledge you, and give you an opportunity to beat me. This rain will only last for about half a minute more. Until it ends, I’ll stand still for you to hit as much as you’d like.” Marty charged at Ignited Justice, and started punching him repeatedly. When he realized that Ignited Justice wasn’t being phased by any of the hits, he tried to punch his head. However, it was ineffective. Marty thought about the weak points of the human body. He then started repeatedly punching Ignited Justice’s neck, but he was still barely reacting to the hits. Marty, without any last plan, started punching his chest. However, he was getting tired. His punches were getting slower, and the rain was feeling heavier. Each drop felt like a stone dropped from the sky straight onto his head. He gave one last weak punch, and stopped. He was breathing heavily. Then, the rain suddenly stopped. “As I said, I know I will win this battle because I’m fighting for what’s right.” A rainbow was formed in the sky, and Ignited Justice pointed to it. “That rainbow is the universe’s promise to side with justice.” Marty tried to throw another punch, but he lost the energy to do so in the middle of it. Ignited Justice lit his fist on fire, “THE UNIVERSE WILL ALWAYS SIDE WITH JUSTICE!!!!! FOREVER AND ALWAYS!!!!!” He then punched Marty once again. Marty’s ears were filled with a ringing, and he almost passed out. But he used all the energy he had left to stay conscious. Ignited Justice asked, “Why didn’t you punch there? My most vulnerable spot…my groin.” Marty tried getting up, but slipped on the ground. He then answered, “It…would…have…been…cheap…” Ignited Justice laughed, “I quite like your style, Marty Morpho! A man of glory like myself. Although I cannot forgive your crimes, I will at least spare you from the reaper.” Marty got back up. “However, I will still have to knock you out here. Go back down, and don’t get up for your own sake.” Marty said, “Ne…ver…” Marty ran from Ignited Justice and towards the back of Festa Fantasia. Ignited Justice walked slowly over there. Marty ran into the back of the building, which was the storage area. There, he saw Beck sitting on a box. Beck asked him, “What on earth happened to you?” Marty answered, “A superhero is fighting me. That’s the best way I can describe it. You?” “Youtube told me that I should always check the place I’m going to for a date before I get there, so I snuck in here.” “Uh…I don’t think…nevermind, you should probably leave.” Beck stood up, and walked over to the door, “Wait a minute, you said superhero…you couldn’t mean…” He looked out, and saw Ignited Justice slowly walking over. “Holy shit! I need his autograph.” Marty looked around the room, “Beck, can you grab that box there and put a bunch of heavy stuff inside it?” Beck hesitated, “Wait a minute. Why is he going after you?” “It’s a long story, just trust me.” “I don’t even know you that much, how can I trust you?” “I don’t know…you just have to. I’m not a bad guy or anything.” “To be honest, if you were really a good guy I don’t think you’d be losing this badly.” “...what the fuck?” “Ok ok ok, you’re friends with Iris right? Is she also getting chased by this guy?” Marty didn’t respond. “I’ll take that as a yes. I’ll try to fight him then.” “WAIT! I’d like your help, yeah, but let me have the honor of taking him down.” “You really sound like a bad guy right now…Ok, here you go.” He passed him his brass knuckles, and left the storage room to go to the kitchen. Marty put on the brass knuckles, “Damn, these are uncomfortable,” and took them off. He started putting a bunch of things in boxes, and looked around the room even more. After a bit of this, Ignited Justice came into the room, “HONEY I’M HOME!!!!!” He ran, and fell on a string that was in the room. Then, from the ceiling, a box was pushed by the string onto Ignited Justice, and slammed into him on the ground. “WHAM!” He was clearly pained by the impact, but was able to push the box off of him. He looked up at Marty, who was standing there with one of his fists clenched. Ignited Justice stood up, “A simple box cannot stop me, for I am a resilient protector of peace!” “Resilient, maybe. But not very smart if you didn’t realize the giant x that I painted on the ground.” Ignited Justice looked down and saw the x. Then, Marty revealed that he was holding another thin string, and pulled it. Another box fell onto Ignited Justice. “WHAM!” He was now on the ground once again, and looked around. He noticed that the room, though it had a ceiling light, had no windows. And that it was small as well. Ignited Justice pushed the box off of him once again, and stumbled to lean on a shelf that was on the side of him. “You just fell into another trap,” Marty informed him, as Ignited accidentally pushed another string. “WHAM!” Another box fell on his head. He held onto his head in pain, and crouched down. Marty thought in his head, “YES! THAT WAS THE FINAL BOX HE COULD’VE TAKEN.” Then, Ignited Justice stood upright. He had a threatening look on his face, “I’ll show you…the power of…A TRUE HERO!” Marty was frightened. Ignited Justice yelled, “SUPER HEROIC CHARGE OF JUSTICE!!!!!!!” He charged forward, Marty barely missing it by dodging to the side. He then turned, and kept pace as Marty started running away. Ignited Justice was crashing into shelves everywhere, throwing them down. Marty then went through the other door, to the kitchen. He saw all of the cooks there doing their job. “Uh, hi guys. If you could, just…leave?” Ignited Justice then burst into the room, stopping his charge. He looked around the room, and walked towards the fridge. The cooks all left the kitchen. He slammed the fridge open, and pulled out…a gallon of milk? He ripped the bottom of the jug with his teeth, and chugged the whole gallon. “GLUG GLUG GLUG GLUG!” It went as he was forcing all the milk into his body. While this was happening, Marty thought about the reason why. Then, he realized. “Milk…comes from cows…which eat grass…which get its energy from…the Sun.” Ignited Justice threw the jug away, and told Marty, “Now, time for the final move!” His body was set ablaze, as he ran up to Marty. Marty looked at him, and saw how injured he was. “If I can just get one more hit to his head…” Marty took out one of the brass knuckles from his pocket, and was about to put it on. However, Ignited didn’t let that happen. He punched Marty’s hand, which made the brass knuckle get hit up into the air. Marty watched the brass knuckle spin in the air, as time felt as though it was going in slow motion. Where it would land was unclear, as it was over Ignited Justice’s head. He then looked back at Ignited Justice, who was about to do his final move. “FLAMING FLURRY OF PUNCHES!!!!!” He yelled, before letting out a barrage of punches. Marty dodged the punches, and started shifting over to behind Ignited Justice where the brass knuckle would land. Ignited Justice turned to wherever Marty was, but Marty was still dodging the punches. Then, Marty ducked and caught the brass knuckle, sliding it through his fingers as it fell. He then turned to Ignited Justice’s jaw, and sprung up to give him a powerful uppercut, “WWWHUUUMMMPP!” Ignited Justice was greatly hurt by the blow. He fell immediately, the flames around him dying out. Marty staggered away, “Oh man...That felt good.” He staggered out the building and started walking back to the warehouse. While walking, he heard a small “Krrr!” sound. He was confused, until he realized it was blood spilling from his head. “Huh…I almost forgot,” He said to himself, before falling face first to the moist grass.

Chapter 19.5: Black Or White

Pov Shift: Iris

Iris was standing in front of Filip. Filip told her, “I’m sorry it has to be this way.” “No you’re not. If you were, you wouldn’t be doing this. Obviously.” “Perhaps you’re right…” Iris looked over to the shelves. Filip swung at her with his hammer, but Iris dodged. She ran through the shelves. She heard Filip snap his fingers, “Click!” and a “whoosh” sound behind her, and thought it was him throwing his hammer. She jumped through the shelf space to the other side of the shelf. When she looked back at Filip, she noticed that he was still holding onto the hammer handle. She used Slide Zone to get a better look. Filip was holding onto only half the handle, the other half was on the ground. It looked like it had a gooey texture, and was almost glowing. It went from a silvery steel to a black and white rubber-like material. It was long as well, stretching about 10 feet, and where Iris was before she jumped through the shelf space was the head of the hammer. “Have I ever told you about my signature? Black Or White allows me to turn metal into a flexible material, as you see before you. And so, this hammer doubles as both a bludgeoning weapon and a flail.” Filip pulled the hammer’s head back, and threw it through another space in the shelf, towards Iris. Iris dodged it, and told Filip, “Doesn’t seem to make a good flail.” Filip responded, “You think. Look again.” Iris looked at where the hammer was, and it was wrapped around a bar of the shelf behind Iris. Filip then pulled the shelf, causing it to fall on Iris. Filip then realized that the shelf in front of him was about to fall on him. Filip quickly pulled back his hammer, and dodged the shelf. Then that shelf caused another to fall, and eventually all on Filip’s left side had fallen. On his right, Iris crawled out from under the shelf, and ran in between two other shelves. She thought to herself, “It’s best for me to be behind these shelves. I’ll be able to use Slide Zone to see through them easier, and since he’s going after me, I won’t have to follow him out.” Iris readied her staff and steel ball. As soon as Filip walked into her aisle, she hit a ball to him. It hit him in the neck, and shocked him. The ball fell to the ground, and he picked it up. He threw it up into the air, and hit it with the hammer. It zipped towards Iris, who was barely able to dodge. It bounced off the shelf next to her, and hit the side of her head. She staggered a bit, before hitting another ball towards Filip. This time, Filip snapped his fingers, “Click!” and turned the ball into the black and white gooey material. It sort of splashed on his face like an egg, and he grabbed it. He changed its shape from a ball to a thick spear. He threw up the spear, and instantly Iris knew what he was about to do. Iris jumped through another space in the shelf, as Filip hit the spear forward. The spear was still the black and white material, and so was kind of wiggling in the air. When the spear was a certain distance, Filip turned it back into metal by snapping his fingers, “Click!” When the spear turned back into metal, the previous wiggling had caused it to change it’s trajectory. It then went through the space in the shelf that Iris passed through, and was jabbed into her calf. “Ah…damn…” She groaned. Filip fixed his tie, and told Iris, “Don’t forget who helped you formulate a plan against Bull. You aren’t the only one who’s good at strategizing. I’ve already thought of all the ways you could use your signature to win this fight, and so I’ve developed countermeasures.” Iris pointed her finger up, “All the ways I could use my signature, huh?” Filip said, “Yes. And your weapons. Although they’re different now, it’s still the same concept.” Iris thought, and asked, “So…you thought of all the ways I could fight you, yes?” “More or less.” Iris smirked, and bolted. “If he thought of all the ways I’d fight,” Iris thought, “Then maybe he never thought of all the ways I could run.” She ran to a further shelf, before the pain from her calf stopped her. She almost fell, but propped herself up onto her staff. Filip followed, using his hammer to swing through the shelves like a monkey. When he caught up to Iris, he swung the hammer at her and landed on the ground. It hit her head, and she was knocked back by it. She barely stayed propped up by her staff, and her head started bleeding. Filip noticed she was staying up because of her staff, and he snapped his fingers. “Click!” The staff turned into the black and white material, and Iris fell. Filip apologized, “I’m sorry. That was needlessly rude.” “You’re trying to kill me!” “...You’re right.” Filip shook his head to ready himself, and swung the hammer at her again. Iris dodged, and grabbed onto the hammer head. Iris told him, “Now, if you try to pull it back, you’ll have to pull me towards you too.” Iris smiled a little, while Filip thought about the situation. “You didn’t think of this, did you? Because you only thought of the things that could happen with my signature and my weapon.” Filip mumbled, “Well…that’s true…but I just thought of a way to get out of this situation…” Filip ran up to Iris, who was still on the ground, and whacked her with the part of the hammer he was holding onto, which was normal. Iris was knocked back a bit, and Filip pulled his hammer back. He told Iris, “Your mistake? Thinking I was done when my plan failed.” Iris got up, propping herself on the nearby shelf. She looked around. She looked at her staff, which was now a long sad cylinder on the ground. She looked at Filip, thinking about his signature and how much it counters against her fighting style. Then she looked at the shelves, empty. Iris thought hard, laughing a little. Filip asked her, “What is there to laugh about? Do you enjoy this? Do you enjoy fighting?” Iris thought about her only chance of victory, and smiled, “Of course! My life before was boring, and now I can do something to help the world.” She started slowly walking up to Filip, leaning on the wall. “I’m afraid what you’re doing does not help the world. In fact, all you’re doing is causing trouble.” Iris laughed, “Maybe I am. What does it matter, I’m having fun with my life.” Filip told her off, “So even after knowing what you’re doing is wrong, you still continue?” Iris nodded. Filip continued, “That is epitome of selfishness. Do you realize how many people you’re hurting with your actions? I thought you were better than this, Iris. I thought you were someone who stood up for justice. I didn’t want to kill you, I felt this must have been a misunderstanding. But now, I know I absolutely cannot hold back against you.” Iris, who was now in front of Filip and leaning her back on the shelf, responded, “Uhh…cool. Anyway…” She took out all the steel balls she had, and threw them in a seemingly random pattern. They were all going in Filip’s general direction. “YOU CAN’T USE YOUR SIGNATURE ON ALL OF THESE BA-wait…YOU CAN’T USE YOUR SIGNATURE ON EVERY BALL, YOU’LL GET HIT BY SOME OF THEM, AHAHAHA!” And just as she said, some of the balls were hitting him. However, he was dodging most of them, with a combination of both moving around and using Black Or White to change their material. Two that he used his signature on, he caught. He caught another with his fedora. He then went through the shelf space to go through the shelf behind him. Then, Iris ran out of steel balls. Filip reshaped the balls into collar-like shapes, with spikes inside. He told Iris, “I won’t give a monster like you the satisfaction of being watched while dying. Being killed in a lowly warehouse like this is the right way for a murderer to die…You deserve…to die…ALONE!” He then threw the collars towards Iris, and turned to leave the shelves. He rhythmically snapped his fingers, to make sure that their trajectory would be to Iris. He then did a single snap, to turn them all back into metal. One was on her left arm, the second on her right. And the third was on her neck. The back of her neck started bleeding. She let out a vehement shriek that reverberated throughout the whole warehouse. There was no doubt that Steven and Seven heard it. Iris fell to the ground. Filip, not looking back, sighed as he continued walking away. Iris started cursing under her breath, “Fuck…fuckfuckfuckfuck….I should’ve reshaped the back as well, this hurts.” She then looked down at the inside of the collar, looking at the smooth front inside that she reshaped before it got on her. She pulled out the spear that was in her calf. “Now time for my real plan.” She closed her eyes, using Slide Zone to look around her. She saw where Filip was walking, and chuckled to herself, “Hehe…Filip…just according to plan…you’ve Stepped In The Slide Zone.” Iris threw the spear at a steel ball that was on a nearby shelf. “Dink!” It went as it hit the ball and caused it to zip through the air. Then the ball hit another, “Dink!” Which caused it to do the same. “Dink!” A third ball was hit, and Filip caught on. He turned around, but before he could react, “BAM!” The ball bashed into his head, and he fell unconscious. Iris stood up, leaning onto the shelf. She slowly walked over to Filip, and smirked, “Your mistake? Thinking I was done when my plan failed.”

Chapter 19.75: Just Justine Justice Justifying Justine Justice’s Just Justice

Pov Shift: Steven

Steven held onto his bleeding shoulder. He shot once again at Justine, but she made another metal plate to reflect the bullet back at him. “Nice job,” Justine told him. “You managed to shoot yourself twice. Disappointing from someone who calls himself a ‘hyper analyst.’” Steven told her, “Hope this won’t disappoint,” and shot forwards. Justine set up a metal plate to block it. However, Steven’s bullet hit the bullet that Justine shot in the air, which caused it to bounce off of it and hit her in her lower abdomen. She winced, “Damn…I should stop playing around.” She pointed her gun at Steven, and shot. Steven quickly dodged the bullet, but Justine made a metal plate behind him to reflect the bullet back to him. It hit Steven in the back, and he fell to the ground. Justine walked up to him, and he got back up. He tried to shoot her in the head close up, but she made a metal plate to block it. It reflected and grazed Steven’s neck, causing it to bleed a little. Justine then took his arm, and pulled him down to the ground. Steven was lying on his back, and Justine planted herself on him. He positioned her legs to hold down his arms. She took his gun and threw it away. She then pointed her own directly to his head. She sneered, “I love this feeling. It just ignites something inside of me, seeing a criminal like you so helpless to defeat.” She waved her gun right in front of his face to taunt him, “This…is truly the rush that I live for!” Steven then grabbed the gun sideways with his teeth. Justine tried to pull the gun out of his mouth, but he was gripping onto it for his dear life. Justine tried to pull it back one way, while Steven was pulling it the other. The gun then bent, and eventually snapped. She then pulled out a baton, and started hitting him. He then kicked her back. She asked him, “Oh? Do you really think a measly kick like that can stop me?” “No, but that’s not why I kicked you.” He kicked her once again, however with a different effect. Behind her, the words, “Kick!” shot themselves on her back, and she was hurt a lot by this. She was knocked to the ground, and Steven stood back up. He saw the “Kick Me” sticky note that he kicked onto her back. Justine took the sticky note off her back, and got back up. She told Steven, “My signature doesn’t only allow me to make metal plates. I can also make object surfaces turn to metal.” She turned the surface of her baton into metal, “Exhibit A!” She threw the baton at Steven, but instead of being hit by it he caught it. He held forward to defend himself. Justine snickered at what he was doing, “Kukuku…you’re still outmatched. But maybe you’ll only see when I show you…” She held her hand out and splayed her fingers. Their surface slowly turned into metal, as she snarled, “...Exhibit B.” Steven felt a threatening aura, but decided to push through it. He charged at Justine with the baton, which almost instantly turned back to normal. He swung the baton, but Justine blocked it with her metal protected arm. She punched him, and he was knocked back a bit. He slid out of his trench coat to get more mobility, and swung at her again. She reacted with a counter-attack, but Steven dodged and swung at her head. Instead of turning the surface of her head into metal, she made a metal plate to block the blow. She then struck him with her open hand. He was knocked back a bit by the hit, but quickly got back to try to hit her. He ducked down, and held the baton up. Behind the baton, he hid his pistol. As soon as Justine was positioned where her head was in aim, “BANG!” He shot and the bullet, along with its accompanying letters, was in the path of hitting Justine. Justine quickly made a metal plate to protect herself. But the metal plate didn’t stop the impact, it only lessened it. She fell to the ground, and Steven stood upright. He asked her, “Have you given up your flawed justice?” She responded, “Flawed? Give up? Never…I’m not even half-way done.” She then jumped back up, with two handcuffs in her hand. She handcuffed one of Steven’s arms, before he jumped back. She then looked to Steven’s feet, and used Sound Of The Police to make a metal capsule and trap Steven inside. It was pitch black, and Steven was a little confused at first. Justine climbed to the top of the capsule, “So Steven…How was your day?” “What???” “My plan is to keep you here until you die of lack of oxygen. And since I have to stay in a fairly close range, I’ll have to sit here and wait for that to happen. So I should at least pass the time before your demise, no? So Steven, how was your day?” Steven was hesitant to respond, “...shitty, thanks to you.” “Oh, I’m glad to hear I had such an effect on your day. I’m flattered, truly.” “Are you trying to piss me off? It’s not working!” “Sounds like it is…” “Whatever.” Steven tried feeling around the inside of the capsule, but felt it empty and hard. He decided to sit down, “So, how come you think so highly of your justice? I mean, our trouble is something we can’t control...so why hold it against us.” “Something you can’t control? Perhaps, but the world has to do without you. It’s too dangerous having you guys around. I think highly of my justice because…well, it’s either all or nothing. If I’m half-hearted about my own justice then what faith could I ever have about my actions?” “Well…that makes sense, but can’t we at least talk this out? I mean, if I could I’d like to help you find a way to stop all of the bullshit that goes on around me and my friends.” “...Maybe…but this is the fastest and most effective way. People’s lives will be saved by your deaths! I am sure of that.” “......Are you really?” There was a stinging silence in the air, that was only worsened by Steven’s growing shortness of breath. But the silence was filled by Iris’ scream. Justine’s face lit into a devilish smile, “That’d be the end for that cutie Iris. Don’t go freaking out now, remember you’ve only got a limited amount of oxygen. Kuhuhuhuh!” Steven didn’t respond. “Have you realized?” Justine asked him. “Have you realized your end? Are you quiet because you’ve given up all hope?” However, it was the complete opposite. Steven was quiet because he had finally gotten an epiphany on how he could escape. He stood up, and took out his marker. He started writing, though because it was dark he couldn’t see what he was doing very well. He was smiling, and responded, “You’re mistaken.” He kept repeatedly writing something in a line around the inside of the capsule. He thought in his head, “Thank you Iris…you’ve given me the idea…the decibel counter.” He took a deep breath, balled his fists to prepare himself. He then let out the loudest scream of his life. “WRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” The sound echoed throughout the capsule, and tally marks started shooting themselves onto the written words that said, “Decibel Counter” across the capsule. The sound of the tally marks made more decibels and more tally marks and so on. Eventually, all of it ended with one large “SKRANG!” The sound of the capsule breaking perfectly in half. The top half of the capsule, the one that Justine was sitting on, was knocked into the air by all of the force. Steven took a long whiff of the fresh air, before opening his eyes and feasting them to the light of the warehouse. He looked down, and noticed that he was standing on his trenchcoat with his tommy gun right next to it. He picked it up. As the top of the capsule fell, Justine slipped off from the top. She was falling, and turned to see Steven aiming directly at her. She turned her skin into metal, and Steven pulled the trigger. “ATATATATATATATATATATATATATA!” The bullets, though not going through her skin, were still making an impact on her. They continued, “ATATATATATATATATATATATA!” Justine fell to the ground, too weak to get back up. Steven got out of the capsule, and told her, “As I said, you’re quite mistaken!” He started walking away, but noticed that his right foot was heavier than usual. He looked down, and saw that it was metal. He was confused, and looked at the ground. The ground was covered in a metal patch, which reached Justine. Justine told him, “Mistaken? Your demise has just been guaranteed.” She took out a taser, and shot it at the metal ground, “ZZZZZAA.” The electric shot was being conducted through the ground. Steven tried to jump, but the metal shoe was heavy and he barely lifted from off the ground. Then, the electric shock spread throughout the shoe and to Steven’s body. A small tingling immediately turned to a burning sensation throughout all of his veins. His whole body was tensing up. This continued for a few seconds, and then Steven fell to the ground. He couldn’t move. Justine ran up to him, and laughed, “Kukuku! Steven Scriptum! It’ll take you at least 20 seconds before the paralysis of the shock wears off. You’ll be lucky to even survive that long, however. Kukuku! I’ll show you justice! But why don’t you tell me…should I make this fast or slow?” Steven couldn’t answer. “Ohhh, that’s right! You can’t talk! You know, because you're paralyzed. I’ll just make up my mind then…” Her arm turned to metal, “I’ll fucking smash your head like a watermelon!” She readied her arm to crush his head, but before she could he picked up his tommy gun and started blasting at her again. “ATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA!” She barely protected herself, getting injured even more than before. She layed limp on the ground, as Steven stood back up and shook off the tingly feeling that remained from the shock. She asked Steven, “How…that was supposed to last for at least 20 seconds…” Steven returned his own question, “How long do you think you were talking for?” Justine realized that she’d messed up the opportunity she had, and barely stayed conscious. Steven took a long sigh. Iris went up to Steven, but before she could say anything they both heard Seven say something.
