Batman knew the Who, or at least Vegeta's name as he had been watching for a minute or so from the rafters. He had followed the gang to this warehouse and took a minute to get in quietly via the roof access. He watched Vegeta lay out all of the thugs with precision, not going far enough to kill but far enough to render them unconscious. Well, except for Mitch, but Batman has done worse than breaking a hand, an arm, and a leg. He tries not to when he can but sometimes in the heat of battle when you are surrounded by 20 crazed inmates, you need to make an example. Vegeta pulled himself up to his full 5'4" height and stated "I am Vegeta, Prince of the Saiyans. I was taking a nap on my way back home in this warehouse." Batman narrowed his eyes and searched his vast catalogue of knowledge for the word Saiyan, and to his minor surprise, came back empty. "And Saiyans are?" Vegeta frowned slightly at that "If you are unaware of them, then no matter. I have to go find my partner and my ship." With that, he started to walk past Batman. As he passed, Batman turned "Ship? As in Space ship?"
Vegeta paused. "Yes. Have you seen any ships crash in the past day or so?" Batman ran through several scenarios at once. Lie, tell the truth, ask questions instead. He discarded most of them immediately and said "No, but I have access to tools that can search it out. Where are you from, maybe we can replace your ship." Vegeta laughed again. "I severely doubt you have an adequate replacement as my wife built the ship I was using." He suppressed a shiver, he wasn't feeling good at all still. His body was aching and his mind was still a little cloudy, but he would power through it and leave this odd man alone with the gang. He was clearly some sort of local who took care of things like this, like Kakarot's son did for a short while. "I'll continue my search on my own." He continued to walk away from Batman. "I'm afraid I cannot let an unknown alien walk around my city. You'll have to come with me." This stopped Vegeta in his tracks. "Oh? Is that so?" He slowed his breathing. -I have to stay calm. I'm not entirely sure I can fight anymore like this- he thought. "I'll take you up on your offer of hospitality later, hero." He began to float up into the air, toward an open window. "I do have to insist, Vegeta." Batman said as he fired a grappling hook at his leg.
This arrested his flight and incensed Vegeta. "Fine. I'll give you the same treatment that I gave these thugs." Vegeta whirled around and began flying at Batman. Batman fired the hook into the ground and Vegeta was suddenly pulled straight down instead of the forward he was flying. Batman leapt at the Prince and landed a jumping kick while Vegeta was preoccupied with his downward descent. The kick hurt Vegeta much more than he had anticipated and didn't properly prepare himself for the blow. With a snarl, he lashed out with a fist which the Dark Knight dodged by flipping backwards. Vegeta tore himself loose from the grappling hook and took a fighting stance. He had grown as a person, learned when to discard his pride as a warrior. This was not the time to do so. If he tried to flee, the hero would use another method of grounding him and cut off his escape. No, he had to deal with him right here and now or he wouldn't be free to find Kakarot or the ship.

His pride and warrior spirit were calling out to him, to use this as a chance to gain more strength. If he could fight off this human while being weakened by illness, surely this will cause him to have a zenkai boost of some sort. Vegeta grinned, for whenever a Saiyan comes back from a life or death battle, they always come back stronger for it. If his whole civilization wasn't space dust, he would have been able to find out the source of the phrase. As is, he recalls hearing his father say it once as it is the ultimate comeback tool of any Saiyan who is bested in battle. "Fine, tell me your name before I lay you out at least." The hero's eyes narrowed. "I'm Batman." he threw back his cape and threw something at Vegeta, giving him a look at his attire. It was a black leather bodysuit with a yellow belt filled with compartments, and a bat symbol on his chest. -He's more of a showoff than Gohan with this costume.- he thought as he dodged the batarangs hurled his way. -This man is a careful fighter, I felt the power in that kick. He's got options if I try to keep him at range or if I close in on him. I cannot summon up any ki blasts right now so, I'll have to rely on my fists. What else could better sum up my life?-
Vegeta rushed in, intending to throw a flurry of punches but was shocked when Batman threw down a smoke bomb. He coughed and threw a wild punch to his side, clipping Batman. He was rewarded with a grunt of pain but that was followed up by a kick to the back of the head. Vegeta rolled with the blow right out of the smoke cloud that was rapidly clearing. He cast his gaze around and felt out with his spirit, but Batman was nowhere to be found. "Don't tell me you fled? I barely touched you Batman." Vegeta doubted that would get a response from Batman, the fight hadn't gone on very long at all but Vegeta felt he had a handle on how the Dark Knight functioned. He was going to attack from the shadows somehow in the next two seconds. Enough time to make him antsy and maybe lose focus. A faint whoosh was all the warning Vegeta got as he snatched a batarang out of the air. "I'm not going to run, Batman. Come at me, fist to fist."
Batman took a short breath and knew he would be bruised in the morning. This man hit as hard as Bane. He was going to have to pour all his skill into this battle. He dropped on top of Vegeta who responded with an uppercut that rocked Batman's world for a moment. Batman was used to fighting against the bizarre and the super so he trusted his body to respond to the next attack from Vegeta, which was a right cross. A parry from Batman and then a counter attack. They began to fall into a rhythm, Vegeta would take a hit and attack that Batman would block or parry and launch an attack of his own. Their breathing became heavy over the trading of blows. Vegeta was running low on steam and Batman wasn't taking nearly as much damage from each hit as he was at the start, to an almost concerning degree. Vegeta's breathing turned from pants to gasps, he had nothing left in the tank. "Fine, I yield." he said and sat down on his butt. Batman was shocked. He thought he had this Vegeta man pegged, he presumed he would fight until he literally couldn't anymore. "If I were back home, I'd have fought you until one of us died, I think. I cannot do that now. My daughter is counting on me to come home, so I will swallow my pride and yield."
"Hh." was all Batman had to say as the police and ambulance finally arrived.
