"The rules say you get one shot..." Leroy pivoted on the ground covering the distance in a single turn between the two. His hand that still carried the fire and lighting shrunk down as he grabbed Jing Yan's throat. ".. to not put the Elemental Festival in your eyes let alone me by disregarding the rules, you just want to die."
The Qi in the arena turned savage as Leroy found the perfect person to vent all of his anger on. The Clear Jing Family were scared as they feared for such a promising youth would bring great disaster if allowed to grow unchecked. The Patriarch and Elder were both worried about what would happen and charged in not caring anymore about decorum.
"Stop now!" The father shouted as he did not want his son to die. He utilized his full cultivation base. The implication could be smoothed over but this could not end in a fatality for their side. "Guards!"
"Little brat, don't you dare!" The elder yelled voraciously. Leroy hand tightened as he grabbed hold of the Flame Trident with his other hand and engulfed it at once. "The family heirloom and the boy, give them to me!"
Jing Lin gripped her seat tightly as she was trapped between getting involved or staying her hand. If she got in the way, it would only be to the Jing Family's shame and might cost her life. She and Leroy had an agreement but not one strong enough for something like this.
"You think you can take me whelpling!" Outraged at seeing his words disregarded made him incensed even further from the current situation. "I will take your life for this!"
Forgetting that Leroy was a member that outranked his own due to his Nobility but he also forgot what capacity the student teacher was also acting in.
*Bzzztt!* Lighting sparked around as the now free hand turned into a fist that stuck towards them both quickly. The jab was as fast as lightning and seemed to drown the area. Before any guard could act, the Clear Jing patriarch and elder were sent flying back in the other direction at the edge of the festival area.
*Thud!* The bodies made an ugly sound against the walls as sparks caused them to twitch. A chain of lighting connected from their chest to Leroy's fist. They were both alive but in extreme pain.
Leroy did not remove his grip from Jing Van as he walked over with murderous eyes. A few of the normal Elders did not think for a second he was just a regular Foundation Establishment Cultivator.
Even the few Nascent Soul Realm Cultivators felt sweat drop at the power in front of them.
"I know you can kill them both but.." Jing Lin could not just watch them all killed in front of her. She made it faster than the guards as she stood between them. "...just.." The words caught in her mouth as they made eye contact.
"I know I can." Leroy's voice came out like booming thunder as the Metal Seed carried his very words into the surrounding area for all to hear. His footsteps were like heavy footfalls of a death general. "The matter with the Elemental Festival Martial part as the stakes for the ownership of the Town Sunny Valley.. consider it over."
The crowd had mixed feelings as he was basically some unknown to most of them. But the display of power and the way he handle the situation had their attention somewhat. A Foundation Establishment Realm doing something like this was unheard of. Especially someone with a mutated Dantian like his.
Those who knew enough muttered to each other specifically about this.
"Then who will preside over the Town?" A member of the Merchant Guild asked just to clear the air. "Will it be you Inspector?"
Slowly the various families that actually lived in the Town took a knee in understanding. Even if they felt like they should protest they were just unable to do so at this time.
"All families at the level of at least Clear will have a say in what happens until the Emperor himself makes a declaration." Leroy really didn't want to invest in a place like this just yet. "A small Democratic Council to determine the interest and better taxes to be paid out. As well as decisions to decide what happens for now."
With a toss, Jing Van was discarded like the trash he was.
"I.. kuff... understand!" Jing Ming looked at his son with the hope that he could still be saved. Of course, he did not even attempt to ask for the Flame Trident back at this time. "..we serve Lord Shentai..
"Surely you won't kill my... brother.." Jing Lin smiled as best she could to get some form of pity.
It was for show as Leroy did not think of her in that way but this would help him somewhat in taking care of this place.

As he finished getting his point across, the chain of lighting pulsed once with Life Qi. With a discharge of power, they slowly churned wildly in key locations. Healing some of the deeper wounds but also engraving an Inscription Pattern on the two.
"Thank you for your help!" The Jing Elder said first while kneeling. Lots of people looked at him weirdly until they noticed the wounds were all healed up. "I can even feel the shackles of my cultivation loosening and should be able to break through soon!"
"Of course, just remember who you yield to now." Leroy turned to look at the others with fake respect. They jabbered away trying to get close to him but he was mostly communicating with Tang Xuan and Xiao Mei using his Qi to understand the situation more. 'My Flame Qi has settled nicely inside them both and I can detonate their Meridians at any time if I need to. I may not be able to control them completely with the Lighting Qi but I can seal their movements whenever I need to for a few months. Just need to check the distance further on later.'
"Damn you.." Jing Van became furious once he came to from the pain. He built his qi up ready to go all out and fight it out still. "I will.."
*Bam!* Jing Lin punched him in the gut as she no longer stressed over her father while he recovered. The stupid Jing Van was knocked onto his back out cold and no longer in a position to cause trouble for anyone. The guards reacting on instinct and stupidity immediately pounced on Leroy.
Forgetting what took place just a few moments ago.
With just a push of his QI pressure they all hunched over and were pushed downward. Once they could no longer bare it and collapsed like fools, they started throwing up from the Sonic Wave released from the Metal Seed.
Nausea and vomiting were the least of the problems they were inflicted with.
"The matter is finished.. understood old Chu Quan?" Leroy asked to make sure the old man understood. It was more of a command but polite enough to give respect to the leaders of the families.
"This vassal understands." Old Chu Quan bowed in understanding. "We are grateful for your assistance and look forward to your leadership."
The Light Lion-ice Family took a step back not wanting any more trouble and understanding they just were not going to recover anytime soon. Chu Xue was slightly unwilling but did nothing that warranted a closer look after losing so badly.
'This will be a chance for him to grow I hope.' Victoria eyed her junior martial brother silently. She then looked at her senior brother Leroy with deeper mixed feelings than before. 'He has grown so monstrous and I have a feeling he is still hiding something!'
As for the elder with her, he couldn't look away from Leroy. This youth was just too strong to be an enemy and was to wild to be an ally. Remembering the reports about him treating Victoria and the lack of respect given to the Family he knew intimidation would just not work.
If force didn't do it, then honey would have to be used. Or enough money that he wouldn't be able to say no to them!
But he needed to have the Rebellion taken care of a little more and the situation with the Dark Tang Family to be ended. Looking at Tang Xuan and Xiao Mei, he thought of a way to use them to that advantage.
"Victoria," Calling out softly he almost made the young woman jump out of her skin. "those are classmates of yours are they not?"
"Y..yes elder, they are." Victoria answered a little confused. 'The Elder is not this kind, what is going on?'
"They look injured, go and give them some help." Removing a vial from his sleeve, he gave it to her and ordered her to go play nice. "See what is ailing them while you are at it. The Dark Tang Family must be reigned in before it is too late."
Understanding the severity of it, Victoria moved quickly. From up above, her personal guard Silica appeared in a swirl of clouds.
Having watched protectively from a safe distance with the others, she knew better than to let her interact with her classmates alone.
"When I came to Sunny Fields Town, to take watch and then gain help for the trouble in the Empire.." A member of the Shining Demon Family spoke up. "...I originally felt that it was somewhat meaningless. That, not a single fighter worth the dirt on the ground would be able to help the situation. But you.. I am interested in you!"
The Shining Demon Family was a part of the Town Logistically speaking but that was because they owned a road that connected from the nearest City that they actually stayed in. A strong enough Noble family but had a bad reputation due to the fact the family members had to always marry a Demon Beast that gained human form.
They had strong bloodlines from what rumors said but they also had a small number of powerful cultivators. This was only in regards to the actual cultivation Realm itself. As far as fighting and killing go, they were not pushovers.
He jumped into the scorched-out ring raring to go. Battle intent in his eyes at the sheer thought of fighting someone worthwhile in the same age bracket. As he worked himself up, his qi circled madly and carried a strong smell of blood along with it. He was a Beast Martial Artist that specialized in the physical body.
The scent of sweat permeated the air as blood rings formed around the eyes, arms, and legs that were covered by a thin blood film. This film had strong imagery of several others within.
"Interesting.. I wonder if you are a good Physical Body Cultivator that inspires me?" Leroy rolled his neck and sent a small current of Qi through his Meridians to calm himself more. Seeing as the young man stared pass him, he was not overly bothered by it. "Jing Lin my friend, you do not mind if I break him do you?"
It was provocation but mostly to give him some presence as a strong cultivator even further. Not to mention elevate Jing Lin as someone he works with or has favor of.
"Ummm, it is ok." Jing Lin nodded. Her smile was very enchanting. "Just do not kill him or cripple him. We do owe them a little and the road they keep in check goes a long way to keeping the town alive. I think sparing him alone is enough." She didn't mind reaching a little more with the agreement between the two. "This is enough to settle accounts." She looked at her father with a smile. "I am sure this will settle debts, right?"
Had to be sure of course.
The crowd waited for the decision to be made. A few lower level families that never made Tier couldn't help but gloat. On the outer periphery of the festival, a few Rebels moved about.
The Festival was a perfect chance to infiltrate some of the Families and gain hold of certain information or plant the means to blackmail them later.
