He moved over to Tang Bo to help support him and whispered a few things that were odd. Enough that the Clear Tang member understood the danger they were in. If the North guards decided to protect them it would be bad.
"Chu Xue!" Princess Jasmine called out. After Leroy stopped, Pin Feng, Chu Xue, and Chan-Yeol took off. For some reason, she couldn't help but follow after them. A fleeting glance at Leroy was the last she gave back. 'That... look, he seems disappointed about something. No way did he run out of steam yet.'
She was right. She had disappointed him twice in just a few minutes. First, the chance to kill Pin Feng and Chu Xue by the cliff, and second just now in wanting to defend her Assasins against the North Guards. To let him escape made no sense whatsoever. Both incidents were too close together to just let slide by as emotional distress or panic.
"This is by far... a clusterfuck." Leroy said as he sat down in the dirt. The other students and surviving teachers gather around as well. with the North Guards at least here the situation should go better for the. "Any of you going to run after the traitors or no?"
"No." Tang Xui said. The rest just looked away or put their heads down. After all, they were just to useless the last few minutes. "Well.. securing the area until the stronger teachers arrived was all we can do now."
"Man...worst Test ever." Tang Bo fell back on his butt exhausted. His hood fell off revealing him to everyone. "Oops..."
"It's ok, you only need to hide until we brought out the killer." Leroy waved off his concern.
"Unless you were trying to escape from the Clear Tang Family dear cousin?" Tang Xui jest to lighten the mood.
"No... I guess it is better everyone knows what happened anyway." Tang Bo and the rest of the Clear Tang members did not like the events that circled the Test. 'I wonder if our uncle is even trying to help us?'
Leroy explained the need for the cover really and shifted the conspirators were Tang Bo and Princess Jasmine to uncover everything. The students and Teacher Hiroshi were understanding surprisingly enough.
The other Teachers and students not so much. Saiori and Long Fei definitely thought Leroy had a bigger hand in this. Thinking back to the fighting before and the stone he gave to help fix their Spiritual Roots a little, the duo at least knew where their concerns were.
As for the few other teachers that survived by abandoning most of their students they were happy to back this up. They were just recently hired to the Akademy and thought it odd after the bridge collapsed that only a few Foundation Realm and Peak Qi Refining Realm Teachers were dispatched.
Not to mention how long it was taking for help to arrive.
Once the Vice Principal and a few of the Nascent Soul Realm teachers arrived, they explained what happened indignantly about the situation. Some of the newly arriving teachers took off to go help and investigate.
Even though the North Guard were strong, they were not unbeatable and might have entered a trap set by the Assassination Group and the possible Rebel Faction.
"At least we passed the Test right?" A student asked trying to break the tense atmosphere after everything was out in the open. Vice Principal Jin shook his head no. "What!? What nonsense is this!?"
"Despite what happened, from my understanding, a lot of you didn't do much but run or cower. The Demon Beast Test after all is a method to approve your psyche." Old Jin said as he looked them all over. "Better luck next year."
The old man had a grin as he wanted to make light of the situation. But way too many students were livid and finally found their voice to speak out. Complaining it is not their fault the Akademy lacks proper security.
"Nah, I need this passed right now to get more access in the Akademy due to my age. Especially since losing a year kind of holds us back." Leroy popped up disgruntled. "How about we go somewhere away from that political nonsense and hunt demonic beasts? Plus the Akademy looks good saying they are making sure the Traitorous Rebels and Assination Guild are getting cleaned up. Good P.R. for us all around!"
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
Old Jin stroked his beard before agreeing. Happy with his disciples' suggestions. Little did he know that Leroy was doing this to help promote himself and wanted to take all the corpses strung about the area.
The next two days were spent hunting Demonic Beasts wildly. Enough that everyone that was left passed the Test. The new Teachers pushed hard to make sure the students under them passed and got over their timidness.
A very guilty consciousness for having abandoned their students beforehand to their fate. Not to mention the Vice Principal told them if they did not do well they wouldn't get paid!
Who the hell would hire them after this debacle?

Returning-
.
Leroy with his group that mostly consisted of the Clear Tang members of this batch was in his quarters discussing the Test and what happened. Going over everything that could have been better the last few days with each other and filled in a lot about how most of those in the various Hamlets or Towns were not attacked but they had members try to convince them to attack the Nobles.
Regardless of what Tier they were at.
Tang Bo finally understood that the Commoners and Oppressed were out for blood. This was not in the best interest of the Claer Tang Family, the Akademy, the North Kingdom, and even the Empire as a whole.
They already had letters waiting for them in regards to the other Akademy's and Small Sects around the Country having various incidents happen. Besides in the Central Kingdom Area, a lot of blood was spilled. Even a few Noble Houses were crushed before the Imperial Army was deployed to placate the survivors and populace.
Xiao Mei found that her Noble house was no more with the Noble Family that preside over it. But they were still a Noble House that could fend for itself. And she needed to find protection outside of the Akademy if she was to be ok. Leroy was only a small deterrent and Tang Bo couldn't do much until he speaks with his father.
Through all of it, the two found they really want to get close with one another.
The House of Dark Rouse came out unscathed despite the Light Sparrow-water being one of their vassals. Apparently, Pin Feng was already ousted by the Family, and with the ties between Dark Rose and the North Kingdom, they were able to sweep it under the rug.
Saiori was from the Central Kingdom and had come across Rebels before. Despite what they were promoting the group were barely better than bandits. They had robbed her family of their goods when rioting. So badly that her father was killed by Nobles who lost out and her mother killed while getting her away.
Not only was Sairori against the rebels she also did;t care for Noble Families much. But only those in that region and their masters of course.
With Charlotte actually being a person from another Continent that came her several years ago. Her parents were merchants and did relatively well enough for themselves. She wanted nothing to do with finances and wanted to be a Cultivator.
Long Fei was exiled from the Black Dragon Family for refusing an engagement to another Noble House. One that wanted to use him as a Cultivation Furnace because of his Gold Dragon Martial Arts. The whole reason his Spiritual Roots were damaged was because of this actually.
Leroy was going to try and get him on his side more after he could trust them. So far they were ok and mostly focused on improving themselves.
"Here, make sure you use it all up." Leroy passed over some of the things he recovered during the Test that couldn't be used besides throwing into the Flame Vortex Core for refinement. "Keep it to yourself and do not share it with anyone."
"With this, it won't take long for me to reach the next Rank of Qi Refining!" Tang Bo said excitedly. "But what about you?"
The other Clear Tang members were less reserved in taking the resources that had blood on them compared to the Town members. The newest trio to the group nodded gratefully and promised to pay him back somehow.
"Oh, I heard you traded a lot of Demon Beast blood during the Test, I have some that I plan to practice with." Saiori handed a pouch over to him. Her eyes caught a few of the clothes in the room. "You are not a tailor by chance are you?"
He nodded and explain he dabbled in a bunch of Professions. To cover it, he said he did it for years. Since he had several books and showcased a few skills in every department it was easy to believe this.
"Lots of blood." Long Fei could smell it in the room.
"I have something that I am going to try that will be seriously crazy and might kill me." Leroy excused himself as he moved outside in the backyard. He prepared to originally make a pool back there. But the wide space would work for this as well. At least he hoped it would. "I doubt we are bothered for the next few days as things settle down. Perfect time to test this."
"Test what?" Tang Bo was curious as he watched the doctor carve Inscription patterns in the ground. "That is a nice Storage Pouch." He watched as the other started taking out demonic beasts remains and placing them all over. "You could just wait until we get the rewards from the Test... I am sure that will be worth it."
"Not gonna hold my breath on that. Despite how I did, I don't think I will be treated any better yet. I don't think they will pay close attention to training me unless I break into the Foundation Establishment Realm still!"
"But... breaking into the Qi Refining Realm and in the middle stages of it after Cultivating a few months is already astonishing for someone who has only been at it with few resources!" Tang Bo was not foolish enough to chuck it up to his friend having a high-tier Spiritual Root and came to the conclusion that he must have been stronger and was weakened when his family members were all killed. 'Maybe it is just too painful for him to open up about. He is definitely not a member of the Dark Tiger-fire Family.'
