"This will be really good!" Her eyes were glowing as the very first page had her cultivation soaring. "I will be the Typhoon of Carnage!" It was a joke shared between her and Leroy but the others were slightly unnerved.
"Paired weaponry..." The Fire Claws he could manipulate with his Qi Control was one of the first moves he learned or to be precisely used. The Old Tiger Bihan only enhanced that further with the absorption of its spirit fragment. Plus dirty fighting allowed that to be one of the best next to just using one's fist. "... Claws definitely and maybe swords."
His Dantian as they knew it was a Flamelighting mutation type, anything technique with those two elements. They knew nothing of the Flame Vortex still so he had to keep up that easy appearance. The right-hand weapon has Flame Qi and the other, left hand has Lighting Qi.
"Hmm.. those gloves you were working on.." Tang Xui walked over pulling out a notebook. "..how far have you gotten in the Inscriptions for it?" She was ready to take some notes and spend her funds.
"Umm not that far. The gloves will explode after three uses of Qi circulating through. That's with doing extreme pain to the wielder." Lifting his hand up, he removed the gloves he wore and pointed at his knuckles. "Qi builds up to much and the Inscription conflict right here specifically I can't bring it down. Of course, if you just use Qi that may already be there from storing it, it will work but it is really weak and not even worth it besides to annoy the target."
"I will have to go over Formations to see if there is anything that can be done." Tang Xui already had a few thoughts on what can be used to mix it. Her studies in those two occupations are increasing a lot due to pressure applied by her father. A way for she can survive in case something in the Family that goes completely against their control. 'Already distance ourselves more, so why hasn't Father completely cut ties?'
Distracted in her thoughts, she missed most of Leroy's explanation but luckily wrote down everything he was saying.
"That is all I have to say on that matter."
"I want a pair." Tang Xui gave an auto-response. 'I need to start refining a Foundation Building Weapon. All of us have besides Leroy grew in cultivation a lot. If not for my correction and that insane method of refining my Body, I would have entered the next Realm already. But then I would be the same as most. A standard template and nothing overwhelming in power.'
The field of Body Tempering had increased greatly in their group. Especially those who used Qi Stone and various Qi Medicines before entering the Qi Refining Realm. All of the exercises Leroy did daily were scheduled for them but amped up.
"Ok, long as you pay the material.. cost.." Leroy didn't even get to finish as she tossed a Storage Bag over.
"I know it works by now." She gave a grin while the others laughed. "You have quite the collection of these low Tier Storage devices." She still didn't see a ring despite the killing of Schwartz. 'No way did he give it back as compensation and then work on a member of the Nether Drake Family.'
Another one to add for studying how it works. All but four had been destroyed inside his Internal Space and causing it to expand greatly. "I just need the measurements of your hands, fingers, and wrists. Which means I have to touch you if you want exact fits."
"Of course.. it won't be a problem." Tang Xui understood his meaning as she did not like anyone spreading any rumors about her friend and herself. She had already embarrassed herself one time when they were training as Leroy made it very clear he was not interested in a youngin like her. 'I am marriage age but he treats me like a child! Humph!'
Old Jin watched the carrying on between them with a pensive look. His students and disciples were already studying various Occupations. The fact Leroy was already a Tier 5 Medical Doctor but he also dabbled in Inscription, Formation Patterns and Herbs as far as he knew showed he had great promise. Not to mention the Clear Tang Family had him learning Acupuncture too.
The Vice-principal and the Principal were not in the Closed-Door ceremony and were not privy to know about his other Occupations. Why, Leroy didn't know and had no time to dive into that matter.
"Leroy, have you given any thought to operating on Victoria?" Old Jin hinted at this a few times in passing about her situation. 'I still need to talk with him about the Life & Death Match with my former student. Was it retaliation or just a way for you to curb others who might act against you?'
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
"Hell no, if they want me to operate on her she can come back to the Akademy. I am not going to that territory, that's how you end up dead." He refused immediately in going to those crazy people's area. "Not my fault no one else has studied the nerve transplant or other means to save her to a good extent. They should fork the funds out to pay a powerful Life or Water Martial Artist to fix her."
"The cost is too high and chances are low of success." Old Jin was sad about his other student but Leroy had a point. The House of Dark Rose is pretty powerful and would definitely find an excuse to keep him there to work just because they could. "But your success rate is pretty high according to Tang Suo."
"They can bring her here and I will do a harvest and graft from her.. own body, maybe some pigs, rats, or monkey-type Demonic Beasts. Not that difficult with all the power they have to learn the procedure quickly. At least I think so anyway."
Why they haven't put an elder on it was lost to him besides they thought it was beneath them or something. The girl Victoria was just a tool to be used anyway and if a tool was no longer of use, they would dispose of it in a way to gain more for the Family.
'No real love for his brother and sister disciple definitely. I can rule it out a little more as it is retaliation directly to me, the last few weeks other teachers have come to me to explain various techniques in the Akademy so they could guide their students better. I can see why he mentioned that I knew the moves well.' Old Jin had studied several of the Manuals and techniques in this room. He did not know that Leroy knew his techniques so well because of the deaths in the Test and the various journals left by the students in regard to the teachers.
Quite a few were fans which was odd how they acted with not regard for the Akademy.
"This will do." Picking up a Manual called "Lighting Blades" Leroy was happy, hopefully, it would be a better method to help him generate Lighting Qi. The number of rugs and carpets he burned out was getting ridiculous. "I can use this same one for paired claws too. Not bad at all."
Flipping the pages quickly Leroy wonder how long this Manual was projected to be used. Suprinsgsly it was capable of at least being useful to the Foundation Building Realm. But the method would fall out to Nascent Soul Realm Qi overall.
A method for using Nascent Soul Realm Qi to stimulate the body and handle Tribulation lighting was odd. The Manual didn't let you go into the Nascent Soul Realm with just it but had methods for higher Realms.
Flipping back through the Manual he opened it a little further and stopped every other page. s usual, the Manual was missing parts. Two pages after the first page and six pages in the middle. Not to mention the last few pages that were only half with the diagram of a technique missing.
Deciding to study it all the same, Leroy got started. As the first few circulations using the method increased his Power as well as his Willpower he smiled. Grasping the strokes was pretty easy but something seemed off about the manual in regard to Qi circulation.
*Bzzzt!* Bioelectricity sparked around Leroy's body wildly. His Flamelighting Dantian started pushing all of his Qi out. Old Jin was surprised his student made it to the Qi Refining 7th Rank and was so stable.
Two thick white lighting bolts generated out of Leroy's nostrils. Spreading around his head in a closed circuit. Pushing the Fire-lighting body, the closed circuit of lighting around his head joined in the rhythm and flow.
It took a few moments but his ratio of fire and lighting balanced out. The manual based on Lighting was the only thing he really needed to help his mutated Dantian more to keep it from losing out on two the other.
It took awhile but Leroy finally received the full attention of the Vice-prinicpal. However, they both studied each other and were far from master and disciple and more like the original pairing of teacher and student.
Conversation going deep into teaching at several points. The exchange helped them both and also served any who may be watching outside to think they were close. The next morning, the vice-principal even brought him to the Teleport Formation for his Occupation Mission.
Going out was free due to the Mission but he would have to pay to get back. Which was expensive as hell. Luckily it was not to be paid until after coming back if he used their method of return. A talisman called very simply a Return Talisman would teleport him and whatever was ever holding onto him back.
The cost was determined by location and how heavy the person was. It was a Nascent Soul Realm product and so detailed Leroy barely could see the Inscription and Formation patterns. Way above his skill range indeed.

This place sucks-

Leroy had finished at least the starting part by the first day of the mission to pick up an Herb Shipment. Thank heavens they had coal trains at least for the non-cultivators for such a long distance to travel. Traveling like one was easy with a simple clothing change.
Dropping that mountain of supplies off and keeping the Storage Pouch, he moved to the second part that brought him further away from the Akademy logistically speaking once more. All the way to the border of the North Kingdom and the NorthEast Fringes.
The air was turbid and had little oxygen inside. Way less compared to what was reported and the homemade breathing apparatus would have to be upgraded immediately. It was also foggy and required him to move at a crouch most times.
The road was already lost and the map he studied did not match in the least. If not for the Metal Seed, the overall movement would have been non-existent safely.
