Ignoring all the warning signs that it must have felt since wild animals has instincts sharper than us but ignoring those it tried to step on the sludge of the swamp and walked a small distance through it all the while people were still too far away from it.
Then some creature other than the wolf came to my sight inside the swamp.
It had the same color as the sludge of this swamp while in the shape of the snake sometimes and other times like a formless goo while travelling right towards the wolf at a much speedy pace while it tread forward slowly through the swamp.
Right as it reached the wolf it did so in the snake form and bit at the neck then threw it out of the swamp to where it had first stood at before even entering it.
Although it lied there unconscious some changes were happening to it's body as it's body began to shrink very quickly while losing away all it's fur and gaining a human shape where it became a year old human child.
The light and noises that only people could make came from the side of the forest opposite to the swamp where a well dressed man was leading all the others who were with him which were in really old style hunter get up or holding axes with fire torches.
He pulled his arm in front of them and stopped them before taking a large fabric then covered the child who was a wolf not long ago then took the child back with him to the direction where they had came from.
The people had then disappeared from there all the while sun rose and set down in front of me for four times when it stopped and then two people appeared one of who was the well dressed man that looked slightly older than before while unconscious and being dragged by the neck to swamp by a kid with many animalistic features.
That kid reached near to the swamp and threw the man's body inside it where the swamp immediately swallowed it while the boy stood inside. Soon after that a snake made up of same as the sludge in swamp bit the boy in the neck starting from where his animalistic features became normal and he vanished from my sight.
After that many different people who appeared then were dragged and got thrown into the swamp by the kid who grew up more with sunsets
This continued to happen until one sunset where individuals walked directly behind him willingly while their eyes were wrapped in clothes as they stepped inside the swamp themselves then sunk down immediately soon after which followed the man who grew up from the kid that was a wolf with perfectly hidden but definitely present animalistic features.
Those who were taken as victims were now more apt to be called as sacrifices where each time the snake bit the wolf man who then reverted back to his human form living far past than any normal wolf should be able to.
At one point no person appeared while the sun did not set either even when I waited for a decent while and after a lot of time passed did I chose to walk in the direction of the settlement. Taking a few steps in that direction I had likely skipped through a lot of distance as I stood in the middle of what looked like a rural village.
There were adults slowly walking and children running to a gathering where under a very large tree a really old man with was sitting while starting to recount a tale.

So I walked through the people and stood at the forefront and listen to him.
"Long ago there was great Empire whose name is carefully hidden as to not awoke the curse that led to it's downfall.
The Empire had once stood strong in the continent but became rotten as it's rulers grew to become too greedy even challenging but losing against the nearby kingdoms and made demands far greater than the citizens could possibly fulfill. Many fiefdom within the empire revolted and defected to the other kingdoms with their appointed nobles and later broke apart from the Empire.
Due to which the capital and the citizens in it suffered even more. This created a lot of discontent among the citizens and negativity that was directed at the castle where the Emperor and hiss family lived lavishly amongst their own sufferings"
A woman brought a glass of water for the old man who thanked her and later continued with his story.
"The only creature who was affected due to the rising negativity and animosity against the Emperor due to their dire straits was the Emperor's pet which was a black snake brought to him from some exotic lands that very much resembled the insignia of their empire. This kind of creature was never seen here so people throughout the Empire and especially the capital recognised it as a dragon.
What was truly special about it was that it fed off the negativity that was directed at the castle relieving the slightest bit of nervousness or gloomy atmosphere in the castle thus bringing no effort from the already apathetic Emperor's side.
This creature grew in size each day while gaining no concern or negative reaction from the guards and the family members of the emperor as it feed on it as soon as it appeared making them unconcerned about it. So it kept getting larger and larger as it's entire body grew large enough where it began to swallow those who were in the castle and occupy more of it's space while eating the Emperor for the last as he had the largest amount of negativity directed at.
Finally when it occupied most space it could entire the castle then did it broke apart the walls separating the rooms and fully taken place there. Then like how a snake sheds it's skin it escaped up from the broken castle's roof and rise up to the sky where those who looked at it inside the capital spoke.
'The castle broke!'
'Look'
'Look above!'
'Is that a Dragon!?'
'A Dragon!'
'The Emperor got killed by a Dragon!'
As it was called a Dragon while ascending so to the people the snake became a Dragon which loomed above their heads in the capital. Where it disappeared during the day but came back in the night while feeding off the entire capital's negativity and thus increased more in size every night after.
In a few weeks it even started to be worshipped by the people who started to rebuild for a better life as even though they had lost their ruler they still ended up retaining the symbol of their Empire which also took away all their agitated emotions from them.
A night came around when it's body covered the moon in the sky like the cloud on the very night when it was a full moon. The moonlight which could not come from the sky appeared somewhere deep from the forest in surrounding to the capital.
That light came outwards to the edged of forest when it was the brightest there it was in the shape of a big cat with stripes that were like dark like the night sky"
He coughed twice and drink the water once again but kept telling the story however that he wished right after it.
"A tiger with the glow of moonlight and stripes as dark as the pitch black sky came out of the forest and stepped on platform made of silver lights which it stepped on further climbing through the sky.
Once those two creatures were at a close vicinity to each other the tiger roared with such a great intensity that shook it everybody who was standing on the ground below and made them fall down while they stared above. Though they averted their eyes when their 'Dragon' spoke.
'Oh why should I not have covered the moon on this day?'
The tiger roared again but with lesser intensity than before.
'So what if it is your, Waghoba's favorite spot but I see that you are powerful being much like me give me some time and I would be gone from here anyways'
Again it roared but this time the snake roared truly enraged unlike it had been before.
'Not a snake! I'm a Dragon!'
However they fought was far beyond the mortals who had recorded this history. Somehow they were all spared either due to Waghoba's kindness or the Black Snake not willing to waste food but nobody died there. As the fight finally concluded the tiger came down and pushed everybody out of the capital's periphery where soon the massive dead body of the black snake fell down crashing"
The old man then got up from the seat and stood on the seat where he was sitting on.
"I'm old but I don't wish to die. While I might have been killed that day by either your fathers or grandfathers I didn't and nor did I die at the age of sixteen like a normal wolf should but have rather lived five times more than any. So, young folks of this village please be a sacrifice for my transformation as I tell you the name of that lost Empire which has ruins if you pass through the swamp"
All the people looked at him either in scrutiny or concern.
"The Empire was called Yong. Now, goodbye everyone"
A loud crashing noise came from the forest's side as everybody looked to the side where an incredibly massive serpent that to me was recognizable as the one this old man had fed through his younger days
