Turning the alarm off, getting out of bed, and out of the room, I ran downstairs the sweet smell coming from the kitchen filled the ground floor

"Happy birthday Ashwin"

"Thank you Grandma" She is in the kitchen preparing lots of different kinds of food for tonight it seems, I am not sure if we could even finish all of it

After brushing my teeth I went to the kitchen for breakfast

"Go and take a bath first Ashwin, and you also have to do puja(worship of the god) after bath and then breakfast," Grandma told me, "Okayy" so I bathed and did the puja, after I came back for breakfast there was a bowl of kheer(Indian sweet dish like Rice Pudding) on the table, waiting for me, grandma said it's good to start your birthday with something sweet

"Grandma, when will Miss Sanvi come" I asked her as I took a spoonful of Kheer in my mouth

"Some work come up so she will come till evening, or tonight"

"I see" I looked down at the kheer thinking about what if she couldn't make it because of more work

"Don't be down like that, Sanvi said she will make sure to celebrate your birthday with us"

"I see" Well there is no point worrying about that now we still have time till tonight

I guess I will call Aditi to see if she could make it tonight

After finishing my breakfast I went back to my room and Grandma went to get some rest she was really tired after preparing that much food

I am getting excited to be able to celebrate with lots of people after such a long time

It's 1PM only i feel like time is going slow today I have been doing studies to pass the time but even that is done sigh getting up from my table I did some stretching and search around my room for something to do, as I was searching something caught my eyes, a green-ish book if I remember, my friends gifted me that book, I only read it once and didn't really understand it, and forgot about the book, picking it up I started reading it, just to see why people were going crazy about this book, reading it page by page before I knew it i was half way through the book and the only thing I can say about this book is, its bullshit, its more philosophy then science, and it's not even meaningful or based on anything, the author of this book was definitely high on some weird stuff when he wrote this book, I only see people saying this book is crazy and all that but didn't find anyone talking about what is written inside the book, now I can see why, because there is nothing to talk about, again and again this book kept saying thing like time cant be changed it by normal means and you have to borrow the power from 'it', it did talked about some interesting ideas but those can only work is fiction and not in reality

Throwing away the book, I got out of the room feeling hungry, I searched for some snacks in the kitchen

I could hear footsteps outside the kitchen, is grandma awake

Maaaaaaaa I opened my eyes from the sound of me crying

"Look dear our son looks so cute"

And looking at me with a faint and lovely smile were my mom and dad
