After he finished breakfast, Adonis headed straight to class to avoid being late.
When he arrived inside Class 1A, most people were already in their little cliques and having cheerful conversations amongst themselves.
The only seats left were in the last of the three rows, by the window at the back of the class next to Luna.
Ascending the steps that divided the three rows, Adonis observed that the majority of individuals around him were engrossed in lively conversations with their companions.
However, a small number of people remained uninvolved in these interactions, capturing his attention.
'Where did they find time to make friends, it's only been one day.' Adonis said, feeling lonely.
{You DID always strike me as a loner.}
'What's that supposed to mean!' He complained.
{You're a moper.}
'That's harsh. At least I have you, right Lord Eos?'
{...}
'Lord Eos?' Adonis called out.
Adonis chose to settle down promptly. He glanced toward his desk partner and offered a gentle, understated smile.
"Good Morning Triksta." Seeing Luna, Adonis noticed something strange; unlike the other girls in the class, Luna wore the boy's uniform consisting of pants instead of the customary skirt.
"..." Luna didn't even bother turning to face Adonis and continued to look forward.
"Why's everyone ignoring me? Am I THAT unsociable?" Adonis sighed sadly.
Ten minutes later, the wooden door slid open, revealing the entrance of a tall, bald, elderly gentleman. His brown beard complemented his black suit and red cloak, and in his hand, he held a steaming mug.
"Greetings Class A."
Upon entering the room, Professor Fitzburg fixed his eyes in Adonis' direction.
'Why's he looking at me?' Adonis thought, feeling slightly self-conscious.
"Miss Triksta, please wake up." Professor Fitzburg commanded as he continued to look at Luna.
"Huh?" Luna snapped her head up as she was awoken from her slumber.
'She was asleep with her eyes open?!' Adonis remembered the incident that recently occurred, where he thought he was being ignored.
'I'm Professor Fitzburg and I'll be your head teacher till you die, get kicked out of class, or drop out." Fitzburg smiled cheerfully.
'What if we pass?' Adonis sighed.
To Adonis's surprise, the entire class responded with cheerful greetings, seemingly disregarding anything uttered after the initial "Greetings, Class A."
'Huh?'
"Since I am only one man, I have my new assistant here with me today...This is Hiram Vindicta." Fitzburg motioned toward the ajar door, prompting the entrance of a young woman in her early twenties. Her long silver hair cascaded down, and her countenance bore a resolute expression as she stepped into the room.
"Please forgive Miss Vindicta for her solemn expression, she seems to hate positivity. Isn't that right Miss Vindicta?" Fitzburg smiled teasingly.
"That's not true sir..." She answered bluntly, uninterested in entertaining the old man's banter.
'Although I made the necessary arrangements, I'm still surprised she managed to get the job.' Adonis raised his eyebrow as he looked at his fiancé/ new assistant teacher.
{Kukuku, impressive. But What was the point of making her a teacher?} Eos asked curiously.
'Now you decide to speak to me?' Adonis sulked.

{Oh grow up! Answer my question.}
'I aim to put her on the council.' He answered casually.
{It's my understanding that one requires strength to be put on that council. No?}
'Not if they take up the Advisory seat of Minerva... Although it's occupied right now, all I have to do is set her up to be an invaluable asset and simply eliminate the current seat.'
{Kukuku... You're pretty ambitious for someone who hasn't even broken into the 8th Tier yet. You might be considered a prodigy but you still aren't powerful enough to do whatever you want. Don't get ahead of yourself.} Eos spoke in an uncharacteristic serious and calculated tone.
'Power isn't the ability to defeat others with one's own strength but the ability to efficiently use the strength of those around them to achieve their goals.' Adonis countered.
{Kukukuku, cute, but how do you plan to eliminate the seat when you're scared to kill a mere goblin?} Lord Eos chuckled.
'Eliminate doesn't mean kill.'
Interrupting the mental discussion between the contracted beings, Professor Fitzburg announced something that caught everyone's attention.
"The results for the written test and physical inspection have arrived." He spoke in a casual tone unusual for a noble.
'When did we do a physical inspection?' Adonis asked as his heart began racing.
{As soon as you entered the Goblin dimension... They scanned our bodies. No need to worry, they are unable to detect my presence or realize this body isn't human.}
'Did you just say this body isn't hu-' The silver-eyed youth's question was interrupted by his teacher's voice.
"First in Class for magic theory is... Adonis P. Vindicta" Fitzburg's facial expression changed to that of pure shock as he read the results. After all, how could anyone expect a first-year student to surpass the Light Prodigy in a written examination on the intricacies of magic theory?
Professor Fitzburg continued to read out the rest of the results after he quickly composed himself.
{I'm Not surprised, that test was easy.} Eos spoke proudly and smugly.
Clad in the standard white uniform worn by her female peers, Amber's visage swiftly pivoted to gaze at Adonis, her countenance now bearing a peculiar expression—a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.
The revelation of Adonis's top-ranking placement had provoked a profound astonishment. Subsequent positions fell more predictably, with Amber securing the second spot. The remaining Rising Stars dotted the list, their expertise spanning various domains.
This showcased that being a magic knight wasn't solely contingent upon mana and intellect, and fighting prowess was only one facet among many.

After homeroom, the first lesson of the day was magic theory; which was taught by a short old lady named Professor van Ani.
All through the theory lessons, Adonis put his head down to sleep. This wasn't because he knew everything or was being cocky but because Eos knew everything about mana, martial arts, aura, and more.
The deity possessed an unparalleled wealth of knowledge that eclipsed the comprehension of any human, and this divine entity could readily transmit information to Adonis whenever he required it.
Another contributing factor to Adonis's choice of slumber during the lesson stemmed from his remarkable capacity to assimilate information at a rate surpassing human limitations. He could effortlessly peruse the contents of a book the previous night, retaining all pertinent knowledge, and subsequently apply it with remarkable efficacy.
The other person who had their head down and slept was Luna, although her reason for sleeping was more simple and less impressive: she was tired.
The girl snored obnoxiously throughout the whole lesson not even trying to hide the fact that she didn't care to learn.

For the whole lesson, the students were introduced to the magic and its principles...
"Magic is defined as the ability to conjure, manifest or manipulate mana in relation to one's mana affinity and the laws of mana." Professor van Ani taught.
"Magic affinities are the attributes that one is able to use. Affinities are usually things found in nature such as the elements but there were some odd cases of 'special affinities' like as Elder Mars' Speech affinity."
"Currently, we know there exist five tiers of magic affinities...Primary affinity which are basic elements found in nature; these elements are flame, water, earth, and wind."
"Secondary affinities are either evolved versions of primary affinities or a combination of two primary affinities. An example of a secondary magic affinity is lighting, a combination of both fire and wind magic, another secondary magic affinity would be blaze magic, the evolved version of flame magic."
Hearing the words Blaze magic, Adonis' body instinctively twitched in fear.
"Tertiary affinity is the third level, these are combinations of two or three primary and or secondary affinities. Things get interesting when we speak about tertiary affinities, as unlike secondary attribute users; tertiary affinity users can use the attributes that are the building blocks of their affinity. For example, Lava is a tertiary attribute, so users with the magic affinity lava can use not only lava magic but also earth and blaze magic which are the building blocks of lava magic."
"When we continue to go up the ladder, we get to special affinities. Special affinities are unique magic affinities that vary, these are affinities that defy or manipulate the laws of nature.
"Divine affinities are the final and most powerful type of affinity, these are similar to special affinities but are way more powerful; these are possessed by deities and can be given to humans by said deities through blessings or cursing."
