"Oh my, how vulgar." Flora chuckled softly and raised her wooden bow, blocking her opponent's attack.

Hissing once more at her newfound rival, Vera raised her blade and horizontally cleaved it at Vera's abdomen.

"Why do you even hate me?" Flora arched her brows and used her bow to intercept Vera's attack.
'Last time I saw her she was quiet and shy?'
"Why? Why!? Don't patronize me." Practically foaming at the mouth, Vera ignited her spatha in a crimson flame and thrust it at Flora's shoulder.

"Hehe." Flora chuckled softly and summoned a strong breeze using her non-dominant hand, extinguishing the flame and throwing the spatha out of her opponent's hand.

'Many are jealous of my stunning beauty but I didn't know it could get this bad.' Flora shook her head.
Ignoring her temporary disarment, Vera shot an uppercut at Flora's chin.
'So determined.' Flora smiled and parried Vera's fist.
Without losing steam, Vera raised her leg and flung it at Flora's head, executing a graceful roundhouse kick.

"Such unlady-like movements are disgusting." Unyielding in her opponent's mockery, Flora ducked the kick and lodged her elbow into Vera's stomach.

"Argh!"
Flora slammed her bow into Vera's skull; sending her flying into a nearby tree.

"If only there was a beauty requirement to enter class A, then abominations like you wouldn't taint our classroom's image."
"Grrr..." Upon removing herself from the indent in the tree's trunk, Vera growled at her opponent.

"Scowling only intensifies your wrinkles, I recommend frowning instead." Unintimidated by the surge in Earthly Aura, Flora knocked an arrow and drew her bow.
"You need to stay away from him." Vera commanded.
"Hm? Away from who?" Flora lessened the tension on her bowstring and tilted her head.
"Wait, don't tell me you mean Adonis?' Finally realizing what the girl meant, Flora couldn't help but chuckle.
'She's calling him by his first name?!' Fueled by fury, Vera heightened her physical abilities using Earhtly Aura and stared down her opponent.
"All of this anger over a man?" Unable to contain her bewilderment, Flora widened her eyes.
"Nonetheless one who barely acknowledges your existence?" She ridiculed and drew her bow even further.
"You don't know what you're talking about!" Vera covered her fists in a crimson flame and dashed forward.
"Stay back, ugly." Flora released the arrow, letting it soar through the air.
SWISH
'Ugly?' Stopping Vera dead in her tracks, the arrow grazed her left cheek.
SPLURT
"Ugly? Vindicta called me pretty." Shrugging off Flora's attack and the insult, Vera enshrouded her fists in Blaze magic and dashed forward.

"Oh please, Adonis would never even look your way. You two aren't even in the same beauty bracket." Flora scoffed.
"Stop calling him by his first name! Stupid bitch." Vera hurled her blazing fist at Flora's head.

To defend against the girl's assault, Flora coated her bow in Earthly Aura and intercepted Vera's fist.
BAM
"..." Undeterred, Vera issued a sharp scratch at Flora's cheek.
"Not my face!" Frightened by the thought of a permanent scar on her face, Flora moved her head back and heaved her bow down towards Vera's shoulder.
Intensifying the flames in her hands, Vera used her left arm to block the wooden bow and reduce it to ashes.

Using her right fist, Vera struck Flora's magic protection breastplate, propelling Flora backwards and creating a wound in her chest.

Vera dismissed the flames in her hands and conjured a red magic circle in front of her.
"That's going to leave a mark..." Struggling to recover from the blow, Flora muttered under her breath.
"You bruised me, you stupid pig!" Flora summoned a blue magic circle and imbued her magic with Earthly Aura, increasing both its strength and speed.

Using their respective magic affinities, Flora and Vera fired their projectile spells at each other.
Vera took the opportunity to recover her spatha from the ground as the spells cancelled each other out.

"I'll kill you then make him mine!" Now holding the advantage, Vera channelled Earthly Aura into her blade and chased down her opponent.
"Bring it you pig!" Flora enhanced her physical abilities using Earthly Aura and met Vera halfway.
"You won't be missing this ugly thing." Initiating the first attack, Flora used Wind magic to create a Wind blade to slash at Vera's face.

"Stop calling me ugly." Perfectly matching Flora's speed, Vera deflected the slash using her spatha.

Counterattacking immediately, Vera swung her spatha at Flora's petite torso.

Flora slightly arched her back and bent her hips backwards to evade the attack.
Although she was able to react to the assault, Flora was unable to completely escape without harm.
Vera's blade completely tore through her breastplate, revealing her tight black undershirt.
'I'll kill her!' Sharpening her bloodlust, Vera swung her spatha at Flora's forehead.
Responding with a counterattack, Flora summoned a large serrated root from a green magic circle, targeting Vera's exposed chin.
"Hm." Identifying the threat instantly, Vera stepped to the side and let the root harmlessly shave past her.
"Get back here!" Flora adjusted the runes in the magic circle and thrust her arm forward, causing the sharp root to change direction and head toward Vera's lower stomach.
Demonstrating her superior physical capabilities once more, Vera twisted her body out of danger and severed the sharp root.

Hoping to engage in a martial arts battle, Vera tilted her hand and used the blade to slash at Flora's hips diagonally.
"I'm not going to play along with your barbarianism." Rejecting the proposal, Flora channelled more mana into the magic circle and ejected dozens of thorns from the large tree root.
'Fast.' Raising her eyebrows in astonishment, Vera leapt into the air in an attempt to avoid the thorns.

'Fast!' Paulla stepped to the side, gaining a shallow scrape on her forearm.

"I'm not going to lose!" Paulla countered by setting her sword ablaze and swinging it toward Marie's gut.

Paulla's blade ripped through Marie's armour, causing a deep wound on her belly and scorching her muscular tissue.

'I can't dodge this. Reacting immediately, Marie coated her bare hands in Earthly Aura and gripped the impeding blade; causing blood to gush from her small hand.

'She used her hand? What the hell.' Refusing to have her sword snatched, Paulla pulled her sword back.

"Let go!" Although she pulled with all her might, Paulla was unable to retrieve her sword.
The princess was too strong.
Ignoring that her hand was at risk of permanent damage; Marie allowed her Holy Aura to surge.

"Let go!" Paulla lifted her leg to kick Marie's chest.
Gravity Magic: Heavenly Burden
Marie increased the gravity around her, multiplying the weight of all the living beings within her range.
"Wha-"
'I knew about this spell, but I didn't think she'd use her last bit of Holy Aura for offence when her wounds are that bad. ' Unable to adapt to her new weight, Paulla fell to the ground unable to fight back or even move.
"..." With a pained expression, Marie brought her blade down.

(These instances are merely general rules and certain circumstances will change the outcome, for example, the instance in this chapter. Although Flora and Vera are generally the same strength and this rule should apply, Vera's magic didn't completely overpower Flora's; this is because Flora's magic was enhanced by Earthly Aura.)
