job… but I have to do it if I want to be free.

And my first target was Kuma-chan nya!

At first glance he is just some cute, frail kid with soft black hair and eyes nya! But he is really strong! And he is the one that saved me nya!

But back then I didn’t know that nya…

Back then… after the rain stopped we headed towards the inn.

But because of lack of rooms Kuma-chan asked me if I want to share the room with him or not. And I gave my consent, since I thought that it would made my job easier.

Then when he wasn’t looking I put a sleeping drug on his drinks and he drank it! 

At that time I thought ‘I’m sorry Kuma-chan, but you are going to be sold as slave…’ I felt regretful because I thought that we could really get along well.

But instead of sleeping he asked me why I tried to drugged him nya!

While holding a sword from which I don’t know where it came from, he directed it toward my neck.

I was honestly surprised… 

His eyes were extremely scary nya… its cold nya… I thought that I will be killed if I told him a lie nya… 

So I told him everything nya!

From my situation to why I tried to drugged him.

Then he put down his sword an asked me.

After we arrived he just kicked the door, and shouted nya!

“Oy you trashes of human’s society! If you want to die… come at me!”

My mouth was gaping opened nya…

Then he rushed towards one of the veteran mercenary and stab a sword through his mouth nya… 

Kuma-chan was so fast that he was almost invisible nya…

I instantly closed my eyes as I tried to suppress my desire to puke.

Even though I closed my eyes, I still heard the screams and the sound of metal collided with flesh.

The smell of blood is getting thicker by the second.

It is true that I don’t like working in the organization, but hearing the death screams of people that I once knew is really unpleasant.

I don’t know how many minutes had passed but finally, he finished.

At first I thought that he came to me with the intent to kill.

But then he asked me to tell him where the children are held and to call for the town’s guard.

I told him where it is, and then he went back in.

And shortly after… I heard some more screams.

For someone that was just finished slaughtered a lot of people he is unexpectedly clean nya, only some spot on his clothes had bloods on it.

I called the town’s guard, and not long after that Kuma-chan is back with all the captured children.

He asked me if I wanted to come with him, he also said that he would train me if I go with him.

After that we were called to the mayor office, and Kuma-chan talked with him about something, but I don’t know any of that since I was made to wait outside.

And then we registered to the adventurer’s  guild nya!

“Ah! I have arrived!”

I went in to the adventurer’s guild.

I ran a little towards the lady receptionist.

“Excuse me nya! I need to speak with the guild master nya! Tell him I was sent by Kuma nya!”

“Good afternoon, guild master is it? From… Kuma?”

“Hmm! From Kuma-chan nya!”

“…oh… you mean Kuu Maliaren-san right? Please wait a minute…”

“Yes! Thank you very much!”

After that the lady receptionist went inside through the wooden door.

While I was waiting for the lady receptionist to come back, I take a look around the guild.

‘The guild is not as full as yesterday nya…’

Maybe they are all taking a quest? If its this quite, its a bit eerie nya.

Not long after that, the sounds of hurrying footsteps could be heard coming from above.

Suddenly.

“I’m here! What’s the emergency?! Did he just destroyed another organization?! Assasinated the mayor?!”

I tried to calmed him down nya, but he just kept spouting unbelievable things nya… 

So…I slapped him nya!

“Fuuh… I’ve calmed down… but do you really need to slap me that hard..?”

After he calmed down I ignored his comment and told him what Kuma-chan asked for him to do.

“Hmm… assemble the adventurers to the forest is it? Its not difficult… what is it for?”

“He said ‘a lot of materials are going to be sold to the guild, so come quickly!’ Nya!”

I told the guild master what Kuma-chan told me while doing my best to impersonate him.

“Materials huh… lavi! What’s the quest that’s currently taken by Maliaren-san?”

“Y-yes! Umm… it’s goblin’s nest investigation!”

“So goblins materials… got it, you wait at the town gate. I will prepare a horse for you too.”

And then the guild just became a bit noisier.

I waited at the front of the town gate.

Even though Kuma-chan told me not to worry, i can’t help but to worry can’t I?

Even if he is strong, isn’t he just a 13 years old?

While I was pondering that, the guild master and several adventurers walked toward me with several horses.

“You ready? Here is your horse, now let’s go men!”

Since we rode on horses, it doesn’t take long before we finally reach the forest.

“We are here. Can you lead the way?”

“Okay nya!”

I walked towards the paths that have the signs that was made by Kuma, most of the signs are pictures etched on trees… and are pictures of slimes.

I wonder… does Kuma-chan like slimes? He always etched the slimes with so much details…

“Guild master! We are nearly there nya!”

“Okay… but can you stop calling me guild master? My name is Soliet Graham.”

“Okay guild master Sol!”

“You don’t stop the guild master at all do you?”

I laughed a bit when I saw the guild master’s funny expression.

And at the moment, several sparks of yellow lights starts to appear from the caves not too far from here.

“What is that?! The magic power concentration there is too thick!”

The only female adventurer in this group said that in surprise. She looked like a warrior, but she brought a staff… what is her class I wonder…

“Everyone! Hurry nya! That must be where Kuma is!”

After I shouted and snapped them back to reality, they finally started to run toward the cave.

“Amazing… the pressure can even be felt from outside the cave…”

The female adventurer with questionable class made a comment once again.

It is indeed amazing… I wonder is this Kuma-Chan’s doing?

I know that he is good with swords… but magic too? 

He may be a prodigy if it’s true.

“What are you all waiting for? An invitation? Let’s go!”

The guild master pat one of the adventurers’ back while encouraging them to get inside the cave.

Inside the cave is a really long corridor with bloods splattered at some of the walls.

And at the end of the corridor is a huge room.

We cautiosly walked towards the room.

Once we are inside, we saw a really bizzare scenery.

Many monsters’ corpses scattered throughout the room

And…

“They are all burned…”

The female adventurer had said what was inside of our minds out loud.

“Ah… you’re finally here.”

On the side wall of this scenery, and the cause of it stood there.

Beside him are three women.

Their clothes are ripped and dirty. They are all hugging each other while cautiously watching our movement.

“Kuma-chan… who are they..?”

“Them? Victims…”

He said it with a difficult expression.

‘Nya… I can guess what happened to them…’

“Guild master, I leave them in your hand.”

“Yes… Anna! You are a girl right? Take care of them!”

“Yeees… I know I’m a tomboy… but that still hurts you know?”

The questionable cla- ehem… Anna’s pitiful figure walked towards the girls and brought them outside of the cave.

“Maliaren-san you did all these?”

The guild master talked to Kuma-chan after he gave orders to the other adventurers.

“Yes.”

“What did you do?”

“I used magic stones…”

Magic stones… the only minerals in the world that capable of storing magic inside them. They are extremely expensive… even a small one costs a fortune.

“Magic stones… right… if you don’t want to tell me, then it’s fine. On to the most important issue… you really going to sell these materials to the guild?”

“Sure, I owe you one after all.”

“It’s different from where I saw it. But whatever! It’s a win-win situation for the both of us!”

The guild master laughed loudly while continually hit on Kuma-chan’s back.

The other adventurers saw that scene with an amusing face. I can only giggle while watching this.

After they are done, Kuma-chan talked to me and asked about my condition.

I told him that I was all okay, while showing concern about his well-being too.

He laughed a little when I checked his body from top to bottom.

Then he whisper to my ear.

“Your training starts tonight… prepare your self okay?”

I could feel my heart beats faster as his voice went into my ear.

“But before that… lets go shopping!”

He cheerily said that as he backed away and waved his hand to the guild master.

‘My training starts… tonight? …it is not what I thought right? …hahaha…”
