Author note: nearly at the end of the first arc. And there are some a bit complicated explanation about magic in this chapter. I hope I nailed it right.

“Myu! Cast to that goblin on your right!”

“Y-yes!”

Right now we are currently engaging with a group of goblins. 

It turned out that Myu is a gifted magician, she showed me an amazing fire magic and it seems fire, water and wind magic are her specialty, that means she is a triple! A rare case! Normally people only have 1 specialty, or mostly 2. If someone have more than two then they have the qualification to work at the royal palace and join the . 

And so we agreed to register to the adventurer guild together, but sadly I learned the bitter truth about her…

She has no experience in battle whatsoever… and to make matter worse she get all nervous when she is in front of monsters. That’s why I have to monitor her actions and give her order that are appropriate for the situation.

After we finished registering in the adventurer guild we took an investigation of the goblin’s nest quest. Though we are not required to kill all the goblins, we must bring information like how many are there? Or what type of goblin live in the nest? And so on. 

Although I want to say that there aren’t any trouble… I can’t, because there were some trouble while we registered, some adventurers didn’t like the sound of a 13 year old (me) and a 15 year old (Myu) became rank D right of the bat, and so they asked (threatened) us to spill the beans.

There weren’t any beans to be spilled to begin with, so to prove to them that we are worth the rank we were given, I challenged them to a fight. Of course I ask the guild for approval and they approved, and so I proceed to break them… or to be specific I broke their weapons and their spirit. Compared to Nanda their attacks were really slow and unrefined… I felt a bit disappointed.

Myu is almost done…

“Myu! Don’t forget to watch your surroundings, After you killed that one cast a defensive magic all around you!”

“-ice pierce through my enemy! ! Yes! Kuma-chan too be careful!”

After I gave order to Myu, I quickly approach the rest of the goblins, while using the trees as cover to make them confused, I jumped and arrived in front of the farthest goblin. While the goblin is still in panic I quickly slit its throat with .

It’s a dagger with a sleek and refined look, with shades of black and purple on its blade and hilt respectively. there’s also a small red gem on its hilt that add the impression of an incredibly rare and expensive weapon. But aside from that there aren’t any more ornaments, it’s truly designed for maximizing its wielder’s movements.

‘Four left…’

After slitting the goblins throat I quickly changed to and in a blink of an eye I killed the rest of them one by one.

is a simple sword with practicality as it’s main selling point. And this sword is the first sword Nanda ever used when he first became the Sword Saint, so this guy have a lot of history. If I put this sword on an auction I can easily get around 1000.000 Q from the collectors, sadly the real sword is… well absorbed by my body when I used on it.

But still… no matter how many times I’ve heard it… even though they are monsters,  their death’s screams are not pleasant.

“Myu, I’m done here.”

“Ok then… should we take the proof for subjugation?”

“No, there’s no need, I’m going to go exterminate their nest, can you go to the guild and ask for scouts and reinforcement? Just tell them to come with light equipment and a lot of magic bag.”

“You are going alone nya? Will you be okay nya? I mean you saved my life so…”

It turned out that Myu was forced to worked with a kidnapping organization. 

They thought that I am an easy target so they sent Myu to lure me in… of course I destroyed their organization, and freed all the other victims. This is also the reason why we got ranked up to D in one go, its compensation for me destroying the organization.

“I will be okay, you saw how strong I am right?”

After she hesitated for a little while, then with a ‘Nya!’ She ran to do what I just asked her.

Well then shall we get started?

{Hey, we have arrived. Ready?}

In front of me a stood a giant cave, its entrance is really wide… and tall too… maybe three times taller than my body.

The insides are eerie… it’s a straight corridor but there’s a lot of blood splattered throughout the wall and there’s this thick fishy smell…

Not long after a entered the cave, I finally sensed the presence of monsters… and… humans?

“Mii…”

{I know! !}

What a reliable companion, she used an ability which allow her to sense the flow of mana in her surroundings to determined the shape and sizes of her surroundings and the presences of living creatures.

{There’s over 100 , 68 , one , and 3 humans and one of the humans is in critical condition!}

‘Got it, thank you Mii.’

After that I quickly ran towards the wide room where the horde of monsters reside in.

The closer I got, the clearer the screams of the three girls and the ugly laughs of those goblins are.

“”Ugya ugya ugya ugya!!!””

“Ah! No! Get it ou- ngh! Noooo!”

“Gel- ah! No… somebody help m- ah!”

“…ngh… i-it.. ng… hu- a…”

“Gya gyau gyau ugya!!!”

…I don’t even want to imagine that scene… 

‘Mii, you know what to do…”

{Yes I know… will you be okay without me?}

“Those guys are not any trouble, don’t worry. Just protect the girls okay?”

After confirming our plan, finally I reached the wide room.

As soon as I got in I quickly both and and secretly separated some pieces of my body and threw it towards the girls, and then proceed to gather the monsters attention to my self.

The separated part of my body is being controlled by Mii remotely, although this may be a good ability if used correctly, the downside is Mii can’t do other things while doing this. I don’t know the reason but I guess it’s because it took a huge amount of concentration to do so.

“Over here!”

I stabbed the nearest goblin in its neck, while I cut off the head of another goblin near it. Then without stopping I slashed and stabbed all the goblins that I can get my hands on.

Obviously all the attentions are drawn to me, and then the leader of this nest, the screamed and issued an order for the other and , to kill me.Unexpectedly their reactions are fast, they manage to surround me just in counts of seconds. But of course that didn’t bother me, as I kept slaughtering the goblins that rushed towards me.

While I deal with the goblins, Mii was to use  to mimic , a magic sword with special ability to boosts one’s defense and create a shield made out of mana that enveloped the wielder and its surroundings.

I was a bit worried about Mii, but when I saw the light that signed the activation of ’s special ability, I felt relief.

‘She succeeded… now it’s time to use ‘that’.”

Now then… shall I raise the curtain to hell?

We have been caught by the goblins, me and my two friends are caught when we are on a carriage heading to when a goblin raid occured.

We tried to resist, even though we are girls, we still have our pride as a student in the most prestigious academy in the whole continents, the .

But in the end our resistance was futile and we were brought to their nest.

One of my friends, Lia was beaten and stabbed when she tried to ran away, I managed to stopped her bleeding with my magic when all of a sudden we were brought to their king, an .

We can only tremble while hugging each other when we saw him. A B class monster that can obliterate a small city on its own, that is what an ogre is.

We were thrown to the side and then, while laughing vulgarly… we were raped…

It hurts, why is this happening to me?

I can feel their disgusting rod went inside me. I couldn’t do anything, in my powerlessness I cried.

And then… 

“Over here!”

he appeared.

He was but a single boy… but his skill with the sword is amazing.

Even I, a complete amateur could tell that his attacks looked like a form of art, Graceful and refined.

But what shocked me the most was his looks, his hair that was fluttered when he jumped is just so silky! And his face too… it’s unbelievably cute…

I could tell that Lia and Rein are shocked too, based on their expressions.

The boy kept gracefully killed all the goblins and hob-goblins around him.

Then suddenly I heard a voice in my head.

‘Hello~? Can you hear me? My name is Mii, and I’m with that boy that was rampaging over there’

It seems I’m not the only one hearing this voice, because Lia’s and Rein’s  face also had the same shocked expression as mine.

‘Don’t be afraid, just calm down and relax. I’m going to um… activate a defensive magic! Yeah!’

Then suddenly, along with those words a sword appeared in front of us, it was covered with yellow lights.

‘It’s beautiful…’

The blade and handle are all white, with a single faint blue line running along the the blade. There were silver metal wings sprouted on the head of the handle while there is a keychain with a ‘X’ shape on its bottom.

And at this moment… I could feel a sudden jump of magic power.

The sudden jump made all the monsters extremely agitated.

And the source of all of this is that boy.

“Hey… will that boy be okay? The sudden increase of magical energy are harmful for the body you know… that boy could die if we leave him alone.”

‘It’s okay! Just stand back and enjoy the show! This will be amazing… hehehe…’

She simply laugh while I warned her.

Then I felt a second spike of magic power. 

The boy’s sword shined, then sparks started to appear on it.

?!

Wha?!

“What is that?!”

It’s here.

The fruit of our hard work!

Kuma’s body aren’t capable of channeling magic to the outside world.

It’s cruel, but that is the fact.

We haven’t able to pin point the exact reason, but I deduce that the reason for this phenomenon is one of the side effect of the goddess’ tampering of his body.

Every living beings have mana field around them, and that mana field is where magic’s reality altering element will first be formed when a magic is used.

For example, if a magician used first they chant the appropriate chants to solidify his image of the magic.

While he do this, the mana that was stored inside his mana field will starting to ‘remember’ the image of the magic that the magician is going to invoke.

And when it’s done remembering the image, it condensed into a clumps of mana that contained a reality altering element. The mana field will transfer the formed clumps of mana to a ‘tunnel’ that connect the insides of the mana field and the outside world. 

And thus the magic is invoked.

To make it simpler, just imagine:

-Mana field = Personal Computer;

-Mana remembering an image = installing a one-time use program;

-Invoking the magic = Executing the .exe program.

And thus the magic is invoked to the real world and was shot to kill an enemy.

But just imagine… if the ‘tunnel’ that connects the mana field and outside world is destroyed to build the foundation of a new concept inside the body.

To build… ‘me’ inside of Kuma’s body.

It can be said that I am the reason for Kuma’s inability to use magic.

I haven’t told him this yet… but someday… I will.

Luckily during our countless experiments for Kuma to use magic, we managed to discover the fact that as long as its within Kuma’s own mana field… magic can be used.

It is indeed useless if it can’t be invoked to the real world…

But the case is different for Kuma…

The key here is .

An ability that uses one’s own bodily substance to mimic another’s.

No matter how small the parts that was used, as long as there’s enough mana, all kinds of things can be mimicked no matter how big.

Every living things have their own unique Mana field, there won’t be any duplicate… 

Under normal circumstances that is.

Kuma’s mimicked swords are special because they are made using Kuma’s own flesh, and so they have the same mana field as him.

That’s why, magic can be invoked using those swords.

And that is what is, the act of invoking magic into a weapon.

It may sounds simple but in reality it isn’t.

Normal weapons can also be invoked with magic, but because of the weapons’ own mana field rejecting the mana sent by the wielder will cause the invoked magic effect not worth the effort at all. 

That’s why no one have ever think of this method to use magic.

Now… I wonder what Kuma will do?

Woah! Controlling the output is unexpectedly harder than controlling …

The scale is too large… 

Well… I guess even if I go wild for a little no one will get hurt… except for the monsters of course.

All the monsters are scared stiff due to the pressures that my released.

Well then… shall I begin the plan?

I put my gaze on the leader of all the monster here, the .

Feeling my gaze, our eyes met.

And then… I sneered at him.

“Ughraaaaaaaagh!!!!!!”

Maybe it understood the meaning of my sneer, or maybe not.

With just one shout all the other monsters snapped back and charges at me.

‘Good…’

The spell that I used for is a level E wind element spell. It is normally used by kids to train their magic in early age because of this magic’s docile nature.

I shift my body sideways and point both and to front.

I can feel a faint numbness because of the lightning that’s covering the sword.

‘I guess if the output is too strong, I will also feel the effect huh… better make sure to set the power properly next time.’

With a speed faster than usual, I threw towards the , and in the blink of an eye, it landed right beside its head. Of course it’s intentional.

‘Ah… seeing a shocked face of someone that was just laughing vulgarly is refreshing.’

While the and the others are still shocked due to my sudden action (throwing), I seized this chance to stab to the ground and charge towards the enemies.

I punched, kicked, and threw any monsters that got close to me whilst I continued to stab swords that I mimicked to the place where I deem fit, totalling to 6 swords.

Once done I used towards the place where Mii and the girls are.

I could see their shocked expression, except for Mii anyway.

Well… watching me did something that was normally impossible like casting magic to a weapon so non-chalantly might make them doubt their eyes I guess…

In this situation… there’s only one thing a gentleman like me must say to them… 

And that is…

“Ladies… enjoy the fireworks..!”

While showing a courteous smile.

I quickly established connections from swords to swords with my mana, then I evenly share ’s excess magic power to the other swords. 

Doing this will reduce the lethality of my final attack and enlarge the range significantly. 

Why? Because I don’t want all the materials to turn to dust.

All these time, the monsters kept stubbornly attacked the barrier. Even the tried to attacked it too. they are getting desperate, but it’s pointless… this barrier is strong enough to handle an attack from invoked with that was toned down to 50%!

‘It’s done… well then… !!!’

And then, my field of vision is overruled by yellow lights…
