Protective potions

He had already thought of two things he might need. Thus, he directly opened the system shop to browse through it.

He typed in lightning protective potion into the search bar first to see what he would find and if it would be something useful to him.

"Alright, let's take a look, hmm, there are quite a few things again," muttered Thiago while scanning through a few of the most promising items that were displayed on his system panel.

"Well, the above potions or mixtures seem to be a series, since they are basically the same, only their protective functions are a bit different. Not that it matters, since they are exactly what I need, but unfortunately, I still haven't found the most important one, sigh," Thiago said, and just as he had finished the last sentence, he suddenly caught a glimpse of something that made him happy: "Haha, speaking of the devil, there it is, the potion against the Golden Basilisk's petrifying gaze, just in time.

[Golden Basilisk Antidote Elixir

"2800 points! Damn, that's almost half the system points I have left, and when I buy the previous elemental protective potions, I would become bankrupt again, man live is tough out here," exclaimed Thiago just as he noticed the exuberant high price of 2800 points, that the Golden Basilisk Antidote Elixir costed.

"Well, unfortunately, there's just no other way, I have to buy it, otherwise completing the mission is just a distant dream. That's because I can't fight the Golden Basilisk, which is already a few realms higher than me properly when I can't even look at it for fear of being petrified," Thiago said to himself after a few seconds of consideration.

'I hope my current points are enough or I would need to kill and devour a few beasts before I can start with the mission,' thought Thiago, while already selecting the few potions and elixirs he would need later.

Those were the Lightning Bolt Elixir, the Ice Shield Potion and most importantly the Golden Basilisk Antidote Elixir.

After having selected them all on his system shop panel, he received the following notification which asked him if he was sure that he wanted to purchase the selected items.

[Are you sure you want to spend 4410 System points to purchase the selected items?]

[Yes] -- [No]

'Well, obviously, yes,' commanded Thiago in his mind, while his heart was bleeding internally due to seeing how much points he was left with now; only 1.322 points. It was truly heart-breaking to see this, he thought.

But when he thought of the reason for buying these things, he quickly collected himself, since he knew that he was spending these points for a greater cause, namely his successful completion of the evolution mission with which he would be initiating his breakthrough and evolution.

Subsequently to him replying yes to the systems question on whether he wanted to buy the items, three different looking flasks appeared out of thin air in from of him and landed on the bed.

When he laid his eyes on them, he was riveted.

The Lightning Bolt Elixir was a captivating sight as it suddenly appears before Thiago. The vial is a bright, electrifying blue, and the liquid inside shimmers and crackles with energy.

As he looks upon the elixir, he can feel its raw power radiating from the bottle, and he is filled with a sense of excitement at the thought of gulping down that brew.

The same was true for the Ice Shield Potion which is a mesmerizing sight as it suddenly materializes in front of Thiago.

The bottle is a deep, translucent blue, and the mist that billows from its neck gives it an ethereal quality.

Thiago can feel the chill in the air as he gazes upon the potion, and he is filled with a sense of awe at its power to protect against the ice element although he does not fully understand how an ice potion can protect against ice, but probably it works just as the saying of fighting fire with fire.

When he moved his gaze to the last and most important Golden Basilisk Antidote Elixir, the elixir was an enigmatic sight with the bottle being a mysterious green, and the liquid inside shimmering with an otherworldly aura.

As he looked closer upon the elixir, Thiago could feel its power coursing through the air when he opened the lid carefully, and he was filled with a sense of excitement and trepidation at the thought of using it against the deadly Golden Basilisk.

"Good, very good!" yelled Thiago in excitement while already imagining himself fighting against those beasts and using them as mere stepping stones for his breakthrough to the next major realm.

This is where his arrogance came out again at this moment, because he seemingly totally forgot that each one of these beasts is at the superior student realm and could single handily slap him to death if he was not careful.

A few seconds later, however, he seemed to have realised his mistake and calmed down, scolding himself: "Thiago, you are too arrogant, you need to get off your high horse and stop looking down on everything, otherwise you will die of arrogance sooner or later."

Now that he had already purchased the needed portions, the only thing left was to find the location of the beasts required by the mission for him to kill and devour.

Thiago could naturally search around the whole forest but taht could take up too much of his precious time, so he thought of something way easier and simpler. To simply buy the information about their whereabouts from the system shop. This should not be considered cheating the mission, so why would he purposely make his life harder if he could have it easier.

Thus, Thiago thought of buying information in his mind and the familiar interface popped up again.

[System Shop] -- [Advanced search engine: Information]

Then he thought of the information he wanted to buy, which was just the whereabouts of these three beasts and it promptly showed up with a price tag.

"Well, these prices are really appropriate and really low, that's how we like it," mumbled Thiago as he laid his eyes on the three different categories of information that were displayed in front of him right now.

[10 points]

[Rough location of the desired beasts inside this forest]

[15 points]

[location of these beasts with a deviation of 500 meters]

[20 points]

[Pretty accurate position of these beasts with real-time adjustments]

"Well let's buy the last one, 20 points is almost nothing anyway," Thiago decided shortly after having read through the three different options of information.

Selecting the last option brought up the usual message asking if the purchase was desired, which he obviously answered with a "yes", after which he felt the familiar sensation of something being poured into his head, in this case the information he had just purchased.

Well, this time it was a little different from what he had expected, because he did not get any information about their whereabouts in the real sense, he more or less just got a radar map on which he could see three red dots blinking and moving around far away from him.

Of course, thanks to his nine years of compulsory schooling, he immediately realised what this radar map was for.

This was just a simplified way of showing him the location of these three target beasts at all times, and it also showed his position on the map, so he could always see how close he was to these beasts.

This would also allow him to carefully plan an ambush that would turn the whole battle in his favour.

He could also let these beats fight each other if he could successfully lure one of them to the location of the other beast, which would usually start a vicious fight as these beasts were quite territorial.

Coming back from his thoughts that had suddenly appeared after his receival of the radar map, he slowly muttered, "Tomorow I will try to set up an ambush first and then we will see if it works; if not, I have to think of something else or even fight head on.

He then placed the elixirs and potions he had bought earlier in his space storage inside his spatial necklace and lay down on the bed to sleep, for tomorrow would be a hard, dangerous and probably also tiring day.

Meanwhile on Faye's side, we could see her turning around on her bed seemingly still awake and thinking of something.
