However, Daoist Sacred Blade's skills alone were not enough to activate the formation. Fortunately, he had once read about the exact same formation in an ancient text, and it was this knowledge combined with his expertise that allowed him to successfully seal the dark apparition.

The formation succeeded in sealing the dark apparition, but at a terrible cost. Daoist Sacred Blade's physical body was destroyed in the process, leaving only a fragment of his soul behind.
