"Huh?" The man gasped in disbelief when he saw Thiago looking at him completely unperturbed, even though he was absolutely sure that the poison should have taken effect by now, as he had counted down exactly from the time Thiago had taken the first sip of tea.
And looking at Thiago now, coupled with his rather mocking expression as he grinned at him, the man got a bad feeling, but he was not one to be intimidated and give up easily, so he just spoke in contempt: "Heh, so what if you were not affected by my poison due to whatever circumstances, do you really think you still have a chance to escape from me with your measly strength in the novice realm? At first, I wanted to use the poison to render you unconscious, which would have been the best way, as it would not have made this place unnecessarily dirty. Also, it would have been best if I could knock you out without using force, as that might affect the pill I want to refine later, see, what a tedious matter, well, nothing I can do, so let's get it done quickly".
While the man was speaking, Thiago just looked at him as if he were watching a clown, trying to suppress his laughter, because he saw the man in front of him as a lamb waiting to be slaughtered, because the man opposite had absolutely no idea of Thiago's true strength, which was many times greater than that of the man.
However, from what the man had said towards the end, Thiago was also pretty sure what kind of pill the man had been talking about, since it required his body. He came to the conclusion that the man was thinking of some kind of pill that needed human bodies as ingredients, which probably had to do with the book Thiago had seen earlier with the title: 'Recipes on how to congeal various human meat pills'.
Now that he basically knew why the man wanted to poison him and make him unconscious, Thiago did not bother to let the man keep jumping around in front of him and babbling on.
"Alright, I got it, let's put an end to this farce, shall we?" Thiago remarked, which made the man, who was about to jump into action to knock Thiago unconscious, halt his movements and stare at Thiago strangely, as if he thought Thiago was going mad for saying such words at that moment.
"Boy, have you gone mad? Do you really think you are someone qualified to speak like that? It seems the saying is true that young calves are really not afraid of tigers." The man laughed in disdain, but still felt there was something a little odd about it, because in his opinion, no matter how stupid the boy in front of him was, he should not dare to be so arrogant and say such words in a situation where his life was in danger.
Besides, Thiago's facial expression was too devoid of emotions like fear and the like, and was completely indifferent if one did not take into account the evil grin plastered on his face.
On the other hand, he thought that maybe this was his coping mechanism and decided not to bother talking to this strange person in front of him in case something would interfere with his plan, so he rushed towards Thiago with a speed that would be completely untraceable for novice realm cultivators, unfortunately, Thiago was not such a novice realm cultivator as he had thought all the time...
His expression was filled with a wicked malevolence and sneer as he thought of what he would do with Thiago's body and how he would be able to concoct another of those super useful pills, the recipe for which he had found in an old, ancient alchemy book he had found in a certain ruin.
In fractions of a thousandth of a second, the man had arrived in front of Thiago, who, from his point of view, was staring at him, motionless, with no chance to defend himself.
'Heh, where is that arrogance you used to have earlier, eh?' The man thought mockingly as he moved his hand forward at an imperceptible speed, at least to a novice realm cultivator, and then slammed it down on Thiago's head with great force.
But to his amazement, his hand went right through Thiago's body, without hitting anything, only to see the Thiago in front of him, or at least what he thought was Thiago, disappear a moment later, leaving another Thiago standing behind him, completely unharmed.
"What? Impossible! How could a person in the novice realm escape my blow? No way! You, wait - you are not in the novice realm!" The man cried out in horror.
"You're too slow, now it's my turn," Thiago sneered, and while the man stared at him with incredulous eyes and an indescribable expression of shock, terror and confusion, Thiago had already appeared in front of him, doing the same thing the man had tried to do to him, but unlike the man, he was able to hit him easily, hitting him so hard on the head that even a dent appeared in his head that looked really bad.

The man did not even have a chance to react because Thiago's speed was so much faster than the man's ability to react at the moment, due to confusion and other emotions.
Immediately the man also fell down limp and lay on the floor unmoving.
Of course, under normal circumstances, cultivators could not be easily knocked unconscious, but with enough strength, anything was possible.
Strength reigns supreme.
This saying did not exist for nothing.
Now the question is what to do with this guy? Thiago thought as he looked at the man's limp body and considered if this man still had any use for him or if he could kill him directly.
This was also the only reason why he had not killed him directly; otherwise, why would he have waited so long instead of just making a move at the beginning, which would not have taken so long.
"Hmm, I might need him to give me the building permit or something like that, if there is such a thing in this town." Thiago thought aloud.
"Well, then the question comes up, how would I be able to get him to help me, judging by the character of this guy, he probably won't give me the certificate or whatever."
"Oh yeah torture is a good way, heh" Thiago muttered as he gazed at the man lying on the floor with a dangerous glint visible in his eyes.
"Well, let's get started," Thiago muttered as he began to conjure up a small black hole and held it next to the man's arm, which was immediately enveloped and swallowed by the black hole, and the man immediately woke up screaming in terror and pain, as he had never felt such intense pain before, with an extremely pale complexion.
"Ahhhhh!" The man screamed as beads of sweat ran down his forehead from the excruciating pain he was currently experiencing as his arm was suddenly swallowed up by an unknown black hole that she saw directly as he regained consciousness from the pain that coursed through his body and poured relentlessly into his mind.
"Shh, don't shout so loud, it's annoying," Thiago commented, while also stuffing the man's mouth with one of the books he had taken from the bookshelf before the man had regained consciousness, so that he wouldn't have to hear these screams that sounded shrill to his ears.
As for the possibility of someone outside hearing these screams, Thiago was not worried, as he knew that this building had some sort of insulating function, which he had discovered earlier when he had tried to scan with his soul sense and had encountered a small resistance when passing through the walls of the building.
After a few minutes, the man's complexion was still extremely pale, and there was a lot of blood gushing from the wound where his arm had been torn off, but it was nothing fatal, and as a cultivator, his tolerance for pain was usually higher anyway, so the man calmed down a little, and Thiago guessed that he could now take the book out of his mouth to ask him some questions.
"Tsk, tsk, you have quite a bite, just like a vile dog you are, heh," Thiago commented contemptuously as he looked at the deep tooth marks the man had left on the book he had just taken out of his mouth.
The man's face immediately darkened and he was about to curse back, but when he saw the small black hole still spinning viciously next to his other arm, he did not have the courage to do so and remained silent, but that did not mean that Thiago would not have something to say: "Don't you dare speak, heh, what else would I have thought of a person who poisons the tea of others who come to discuss business with no ulterior motive, eh?"
These were truly heartfelt words from Thiago, as he was really quite angry about being given poisoned tea, whereas they had absolutely no grudge against each other when they first met to discuss business.
Without thinking about it, Thiago spoke seriously to the man in front of him, who looked extremely miserable at the moment, with a bloody wound and a pale complexion, as well as sweat pouring from his forehead every moment due to the intense pain.
"I will ask you some questions now, and for every wrong answer one of your limbs will be ripped off, do you understand?"
"Y- yes," the man answered through gritted teeth, after which Thiago nodded and then asked his first question.
"As I came here to buy your building, i want to know where you have the necessary papers or certificates so that I can later show that I bought this building, where do you have them?"
"What certificate? I don't have such a thing, I only have a plaque from the town that symbolizes that this building is mine, do you mean that?"
The man answered and asked surprisingly rather cooperative, maybe because he had been brought back to the ground of facts, and after having already lost an arm, he did not want to lose another one.
Maybe he also thought that he might have a chance to be left alive if he cooperates, which was actually kind of possible depending on Thiago's arrangements and whether he could need the man, and most importantly whether he had any method to control the man, otherwise it would not be a wise decision to keep the man alive.
"Yes that is what I mean, good, then give me that plaque." Thiago said quite satisfied as it went so easily at least for now, that is."
"It is in my spatial ring, the man said whereafter Thiago gripped his hand and directly pulled away the ring from his finger, though he could not directly send his soul sense into the spatial ring as he would need to first destroy the soul imprint left by the man lying before him which would injure the man's spirit badly and Thiago did not know if he would still be able to answer his questions after that.
After that Thiago thought if he wanted to know anything else but came to the conclusion that he did not need anything else form the man and also had no other uses for the man in the near future which was rather unlucky for the man.
Regarding the books he had seen before he did also not bother to ask the man some questions about them as he really did not care much about that.
"Well then I have to thank you for getting this building for free, it was nice to do business with you, farewell," Thiago uttered to which the man had no chance to react at all before he was totally engulfed by the black hole, that had been expanded a little by Thiago just so that the man's body was able to fit in easily, just when he had finished speaking.
The man who had still had hope to survive before had unluckily not guessed that Thiago was not fond of letting enemies live and had died with infinite regrets, or maybe he had been still thinking about how to be let alive by Thiago, how ironic.
After that was done Thiago began to remove most of the previous owner's items in this building and put them into his spatial storage, so that he would have a clean building which he would then convert, at least the lower storey, into a shop or restaurant...
