9.2. The Red Pill, The Blue Pill, or The Green Pill?

“There, I fix– COUGK!!!” Silver coughed up some blood all over Fala’s face. “She’s going to need some rest...” He wiped away the blood that was on his mouth. “... Or not. Oh, is girl cleaned?” Silver asked Aze.

“Who?” Aze was wiping the blood of Fala.

“The Girl, you know... The one who...” Silver stared dead-eyed at Aze, “The pink haired girl. I named her Girl.”

Aze looked at him confused and thought, “Can he not hear her crying in the corner?” Aze then pointed to a bucket that had a trail of blood and the sound of crying.

“Cool...” Silver got up, slipping while he did it. “Woah! Have I always been this tall?”

“Are you ok?” Aze asked him.

“Sure... I just had some strange plants that made me feel great.” Silver was now over the bucket. “Did I mention I had some–”

“Yes!” Aze cut him off.

“Wee!!” Silver lifted the bucket I was hiding under. I huddled up in blood-soaked towels, rocking back and forth. “It’s alright. I’m here... or am I?” I opened my eyes, not caring about anything else, reached for Silver. He knelt down beside me, patting my head, “Shhh! Don’t talk. He reaches down into his pockets and pulls out something, “have this.” In his hand were a bunch of round, green circles.

“Smells nice,” I thought to myself as I leaned forward to get a better look. I grabbed a few and placed them in my mouth. They were soft and chewy, “yummy!” I grabbed more of the yummy circles. “More!” After eating all the green circles, something felt off, “I feel... I feel... So weird.” I waved my hand in front of my face and thought, “wow! So light?”

Aze watched as I spaced out. “What did you give her?”

“Hmm?” He said picking me up like how you would lift a child into a shopping cart.

“I wouldn’t do that!” Aze shouted, trying to stop him.

“Do what?” Silver asked afterward.

Aze saw nothing happen. Instead of me freaking out, I was just there staring. “She... nevermind,” Aze said, throwing the towel in the shower. When she looked back, she saw Silver in a throw position. Concerned, Aze tried to stop him. “Wh–”

“Fly! Fool!!” Silver tossed me towards the bath. My face planted first into the wall and fell into the tub. My face left a dent in the wall.

“WHAT THE HELL!!” Aze screamed at him.

“What? She had blood on her.” Silver calmly responded.

“YOU DON’T THROW A CHILD!!!!” Aze marched at him in fury.

“I didn’t throw her. I tossed her into the bath.”

“SAME DIFFERENCE!!” Aze then slapped his face.

Inside the tub, I just laid there. “Woah! Cold.”

“You’re going to drown,” Rue said.

“Hey Rue, could I ask you a question?” I asked him.

“You can ask. But will I answer?” Rue said, smirking.

“Is water wet?”

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

Rue went for a bit. “Uh...” He started speaking but stopped. “I mean... It depends... I’m sorry, what the fuck did you just ask me?”

I repeated the question, “Is water wet?”

Rue just stared at me. He then lifted me out of the tub and placed me with my arms hanging over the tub. Silver was too busy being lectured by Aze about his action, and Fala was sleeping, so neither of them noticed this. “What did he give you?” Rue asked me.

“Yes,” I answered Rue.

Rue just stared at me, “I think I’m feeling it now... That’s not candy.” Rue placed his hand over his head and started laughing. “Hahahaha!!! What the fuck!! Hahahahaha!!! Talk about tasting the rainbow!! You’re seeing rainbows!!” Rue laughed for a bit before he finished speaking, “Hehehehehe... But seriously. I’m all for pursuing your passion... But this!? I don’t know if I should be concerned!? God, let’s see how long this lasts for.” Rue looked towards the wall where Silver and Aze were over at, “Hmm... It’s not too far... Maybe... Should I?”

I looked at him with curiosity, “What’s he talking about?” I then noticed the black covering my chest, “What’s that?” I forgot about Rue talking to himself.

Rue turned towards me and patted my head, “I won’t be gone long, but stay either in this room or Silver’s.”

“Why?” I asked him, poking my black.

“I can’t travel far nimrod. Stay! Did you get that? Stay!” He talked to me as if I was his pet. Rue faded into black clouds and out of view.

“Alright!” Silver said to Aze, “I promise to not use it until I show you where I got it from.”

“And could you not give it to her?” Aze said, eyeing me.

“You mean Girl? Why?” Silver asked.

Rue whispered what to call me. I don’t know why Rue did this, but he did. “Call her L, not Girl. That’s a stupid name.”

“You’re right. That is stupid.” Silver responded.

“Did you hear anything that I said!” Scolded Aze.

“Yeah, I shouldn’t call her Girl. I should call her L.” Silver said.

“What!? No! I said, don’t give it to the little girl.” Aze repeated.

“L? Why?” Silver asked, “It calmed her down.”

“Well, L has been staring at Fala for a while. Like a predator.” Aze looked at me then back at Silver, “It’s really unsettling.”

“Fine,” Silver said. Silver went over to the bathtub with a clean towel and noticed that there were dry clothes there. “Huh... Did you place these clothes here?” Silver asked Aze, picking them up.

“What clothes?” Aze asked, “The clothes are over,” she pointed towards a shelf, but there were no clothes, “here?” Puzzled, she scratched her head.

“Well, let’s get you dressed.” Silver said. He lifted me out of the bathtub and wrapped me in the towel.

“You really shouldn’t be doing that,” Aze said. Aze picked up Fala like a baby and placed her on top of the toilet.

“It’s fine,” he responded, “I used to wash my little sister. I know what I’m doing.” He quickly dried me off. I fought back a little but gave up since it was too much work. Silver then used another towel to dry off my hair, “This is always the hardest part.”

“Hurry up!” I said, pushing his face. Silver pulled a dark green shirt over my head. “I can’t see!! I’m blind!!” I said, flailing around. I struggled for a bit before I got my head through the neck hole. “Free at last!” I smiled.

“Grab my hands,” Silver had placed hands through the armholes. I grabbed his hands, and he guided them through the holes. He then lifted me up and placed me on top of the side of the bathtub.

“You may not like it,” Aze said to me.

“Like what?” Out of nowhere, Silver quickly pulled up the pants, which lifted me up in the air. “AGH!!!” I screamed. It wasn’t very painful, but it was enough to make me feel like I was in pain. I became terrified for some reason, and was about to cry.

“Want some?” Silver held me with one arm and pulled out some more green circle candies.

“Ventus clypeus,” Aze murmured. Flicking her fingers forward, a gust of wind knocked the candy out of Silver’s hand.

“Huh... Where did they go?” We both started looking around for them.

Aze smiled, started pushing Silver towards the red door, “Why don’t you two lie down for a bit? Take a nap, read a story?”

“What about dinner?” Silver asked.

“I’ll bring you dinner.” Aze sang. “Just relax.” Aze pushed us through the door and closed it.
