Chapter 98 The Meeting

The Meeting

Colonel Banks shifted his gaze towards the North with furrowed brows, lost in deep contemplation, before returning his attention to the video footage.

He watched intently, his eyes scanning every detail, trying to decipher the mysterious being on the screen.

North waited for a few seconds as the Being turned its body around revealing a human like body with a red and gold body with a blue triangular glow on its chest with its hand seemingly holding something that was blinking.

In the video it was clear that North stood frozen, his heart beating wildly in his chest as the Being slowly turned around, revealing its humanoid form, clad in red and gold, with a strange triangular light emanating from its chest.

Colonel Banks eyes darted towards its hand, which seemed to hold a blinking object, shrouded in mystery.

North flinched backwards at the sight of the Being, his mind racing with the possibilities of what it could be.

The soldiers beside him were no better, their faces contorted in fear as they faced an unknown entity, possibly from another world, an Alien.

North's hands tightened around the Loidspeaker as Colonel Banks eyes were fixed on the screen, North took a deep breath and stepped forward.

He seemed to have summoned his courage and was about to shout through the speaker.

But he stopped himself as the Blinking item the being seemed to holding suddenly popped, releasing a thin strand of smoke into the air. He faltered for a moment, unsure of what it could mean.

North and the soldiers exchanged fearful glances, their instincts telling them to retreat. Without a word, they slowly backed away, not daring to find out what the smoke could mean.

North waited for a few seconds but nothing seemed to happen so after he hesitated for a moment, his determination returned as he stepped forward again.

He spoke into the loudspeaker, his voice echoing across the mountainous landscape.

"We'll give you five seconds to surrender! If you don't, we will open fire!" His words were laced with confidence, but his heart was pounding in his chest.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

With a commanding gesture, he lifted his hand and signaled to the soldiers to aim their weapons and prepare to fire at the Being in Red.

His eyes fixed on the Being, he began the countdown.

"Five... Four... Three..." His voice was firm, but inside, he was trembling with fear.

The tension in the air was palpable as he began to count down from five. He knew the stakes were high, and his nerves were starting to show despite his best efforts to hide them.

Despite his efforts to maintain his composure, his nerves were getting the better of him.

His voice may have sounded strong and commanding, but his body betrayed him with shaking hands and fidgeting legs.

As the countdown continued, he couldn't help but wonder what the outcome of this confrontation would be.

"Three... Two...One!"

The countdown reached its final seconds, and the air was filled with tension and anticipation. As North shouted the command to fire, the sound of shots being fired echoed through the air.

But before any bullets could make contact with the target, a deafening blast rocked the area, shaking the soldiers to their core. Despite the chaos, they continued to fire relentlessly.

The hail of bullets continued to aimed on the being, but it was as if the being was too fast to be caught outpacing the bullets being fired.

With incredible velocity, it took to the air, flames bursting from its hands and legs.

The soldiers could only watch in awe and disbelief as their shots missed their mark.

There Awe however didnt last long however As chaos soon began to unfold, the soldiers suddenly found themselves under attack from an unexpected source.

The bullets they had fired into the air came raining back down on them, causing panic and confusion.

Meanwhile, Colonel Banks watched the scene unfold on his laptop screen with a look of cold detachment.

As the chaos unfolded Colonel Banks shut the laptop screen and he turned his attention to Lt. Colonel Banks.

"You are Dismissed" he said "You will be informed of your fate, Later on, for now I have a Meeting to attend" The words were spoken with a finality that left no room for argument.

With a dismissive wave of his hand, Colonel Banks informed Lt. Colonel North of his fate and turned his attention elsewhere.

North, who had been watching with a mixture of curiosity and hope felt dissapointment as he walked out of the room with a heavy heart.

He shut the door behind him and tried to make sense of what had just happened and what will happen to him in the future.

Colonel Banks stood up and walked around his office to stretch his legs and think about things for his coming meeting.

He glanced at the window, watching the sun's rays dance across the glass panes.

Suddenly, the light was interrupted by a passing bird, casting a momentary shadow. The colonel's eyes followed the fleeting shadow before returning to his aimless stroll around the room.

The next second the sun's warmth flooded back into the room, bathing Colonel Banks back in its radiance.

He was about to continue his pacing when he stopped, he knew that his Meeting he spoke about was about to start.

He turned around and saw a yellowish Frog on his Desk staring at him with its black beady eyes.

The colonel stared at the frog silently for a second before he spoke without any emotions present in his voice" I have a lot of questions for you"
