A Relaxed Day At The House
The next morning, I woke up to a message from the system.
[Wednesday Episode 3 has been altered. Congratulations! You have been awarded 10,000 Spoints.]
I nodded my head, satisfied with the points I had earned.
I got out of bed and looked out of the window. It looked to be noon as the sun was high in the air.
I stretched my body a bit and put on some trousers and a simple black T-shirt that I had in my closet, after cleaning myself up once again.
I hoped that the Spoints I had now would be enough to get the base statistics of those Mark Armours so that I could make a proper comparison.
I also remembered the truck and chuckled to myself a bit as I wondered if the truck made it here alright.
I stepped out of the house and saw Dad kiss Mom, and then open the door and step out as he waved goodbye to her.
Mom shut the door as I walked down the staircase.
"Big day for Dad?" I asked, wondering if Dad had a showing of a house today or maybe he was going to close a deal today on a house.
Mom got startled and jumped a bit before she saw me and smacked her head. "You scared me sneaking up on me like that.
Your father told me about how late you came home last night.
Why didn't you go to school?" she asked, looking suspiciously at me. "As a matter of fact, why did you come instead of going back to school?"
I walked down from the staircase completely and looked at her.
"I did go to school, but it was kind of boring, so I left to do some things which ended up with me staying there all night," I said, mixing some truth with some lies.
She sighed and shook her head. Then, she hugged me. "I am glad you are safe and unharmed anyway," she said, I also hugged her back for a while before we separated.
"So, Mom, uh, I'm kind of hungry. What is there to eat?"

"Well, nothing right now, but I can whip up some egg on toast if you want?" She said cheerfully
I smiled as I felt my stomach rumble slightly. "I would love that."
She nodded and left for the kitchen as I went ahead and sat at the kitchen table. I glanced towards Uncle Andre's house and saw his car still there. I thought about going right now and apologizing to him about last night, but soon decided to do it after I got some food in my stomach.
"So James, how long are you going to stay here?" Mom asked loudly from the kitchen.
"I'll be here for a week at most," I replied as the aroma of eggs and toast started to spread from the kitchen into my nose.
I looked at the clock and saw that it was almost 1 PM, so I decided that I would also go pick up Hayley, Alex, and Luke just to relieve Mom a bit.
Mom soon brought me a plate of eggs and toast. "Thanks, Mom," I said with a smile, and Mom nodded in return.
"I'll be going for a jog now, so stay safe in the house," she said as she put down the plate and headed upstairs.
I began to start eating the food and found it delicious. By the end of it, I saw Mom coming down from the staircase.
"I'll be going, honey."
"Yea, okay, Mom," I said as I heard her unlock the door. "Oh, and Mom, can I go pick up Hayley and the rest from school today?"
Mom popped her head into the room. "Sure, why not?" she said with a smile and exited the house.
I finished the fiid and then I cleaned the plate and then headed outside towards Uncle Andre's house.
I walked up to the door and rang the bell.
"Who is it?!" came a feminine shout from inside, who I assumed to be Uncle Andre's wife.
"Umm, hello, I'm your next-door neighbour," I said, shouting back at the closed door.
A few seconds later, I heard some stomping and the door opened, and in front of me stood not his wife but rather Uncle Andre himself.
"What do you want?" he asked.
"Well, I just want to apologize for last night. I should have warned you about it," I said, looking at him sincerely as he stared at me quietly causing a bit of tension to be built.
Soon however he burst into laughter. "Apologize for what? You warned me about it, and I didn't listen, and I got just a bit scared anyways" he said as he laughed, leaving me confused.
'A bit scared?' That was not how I remembered it, but I didn't point it out as he continued, "That was one of the most fun I have had for a really long time, so don't even worry about it," he said as he patted me on my shoulders.
"Take care now, and be careful driving that thing.
I would hate to see you end up in a bad crash. You are so talented to make such a machine; I would not want to see anything bad happening to you," he said with a smile.
I nodded happily. "Take care of yourself and maybe also get your nose checked up. See you later, Uncle Andre," I said as I started quickly walking away from the house.
"Wait, hold up! What do you mean, check my nose?" he shouted from his house gates. By now, I was already out of his yard. "Just do it!" I shouted as I ran back to the house.
He panicked a bit as he shouted, "Wait!" with his hands in the air, but I was already gone by now and had entered my house.
A much taller woman with a mole under her left eye appeared from behind him and hugged him.
"What's wrong, babe?"
Andre sighed. "It's nothing, Tiff."
She chuckled a bit. "Don't you have to soon get to work?" And Andre nodded.
The woman who had hugged him was named Tiffany Haddish the actress from a movie called Night School.
