Escape from the Monster's Claws: A Race for Survival
James felt a searing pain on his cheek as he barely managed to move his face out of the way. He could feel the warm blood trickling down his face and his vision blurred as he stumbled forward, his mind racing as he tried to escape the monster's deadly claws. He could barely register the debris and obstacles in his path as he scrambled to get away, not paying attention to his surroundings and causing him to trip and fall, He saw the monster's sharp claws heading straight for him and Wednesday, who was slightly away from him, shouted at him to run.
James mind cleared slightly as he instinctively rolled to the side and grabbed the nearest object for cover, using the overturned table as a shield along with Wednesday The monster's powerful claws however shredded through the table causing splinters and chunks of wood flying in every direction as the makeshift barrier was reduced to rubble.
James and Wednesday quickly sprang into action, with James appearing to have come up with a plan. He repeatedly used the same tactic, dodging and flipping tables, causing the monster to become increasingly enraged. The monster let out an earsplitting roar that caused the camera to malfunction, distorting the image.
Wednesday and James seemed to have frozen when they heard that roar, however, James broke out of the daze and looked over at Wednesday, who looked to be in a daze. James quickly reacted by pushing Wednesday away from him as he seemed to have been the target of the attacks and ran in another direction, desperately gasping for air as blood covered one side of his face, dying it red.
The roar shook the room leaving both James and Wednesday in a Dazd, but James was quick to react and snap out if his Daze as His eyes darted over to Wednesday, who was standing there in a Daze. He quickly pushed her away from him, as if he knew the monster's next move. He ran in another direction, his breaths coming in gasps as blood flowed down the side of his face, dyeing it a deep red.
James mind was in a frenzy as he realized he had run into a dead end. He quickly turned around to see the monster bearing down on Wednesday, its claws reaching out to grab her. James' heart skipped a beat as he looked at the distance between him and Wednesday. He clenched his fists, determination filling his eyes as he realized that he couldn't save her without getting hurt himself.
James dashed towards Wednesday and pushed her out of the way and tried to escape the oncoming Claws trajectory however the monster was too fast, its claws piercing through his chest with a sickening sound. Everyone watching this gasped in shock, unable to believe what they were seeing.

James could feel the hot breath of the monster on his face as it opened its jaws wide, preparing to devour him whole. He could see the rows of razor-sharp teeth glinting in the dim light, and he knew that this was the end.

Luke and Alex broke down in tears as they watched their elder brother covered in blood, about to be devoured by the monster. Hayley was also silenty crying regretting the things she said about the Scar before, tears streaming down her face as she watched the horror unfold before her. Jay tried to comfort his grandchildren, but his own shock and horror was evident on his face. He had never seen anything like this before and it was a scene that would stay etched in his memory forever.
Jay had always been aware of his own mortality. He had never considered himself invincible. He had watched his friends and comrades pass before him, and he knew that his time was coming soon.
But he had never imagined that he would be witness to his own grandson's near death experience he had wanted to atleast see one of his Grandchildren accomplish something during his life that's why when he had seen James's Car he had thought of seeing James become a very successful businessman.
One such as himself...
Despite everything that had just happened, Jay couldn't help but find a sense of irony in the situation. Here he was, worried about his own impending death, while James had just faced his own mortality head-on. He couldn't help but remember the days of war, when death was a constant companion. It was a reminder that life is precious and should be cherished, not wasted worrying about the end.
In that moment, Jay made a decision. He wouldn't waste any more time worrying about his own death. He had lived a full life, and now it was time to enjoy the time he had left with his family. No matter how annoying they can get at times, they were his family, and he loved them. He wouldn't let his own fear of death rob him of the time he had left with them.
