[April 9th 1997 – Spencer, Massachusetts]
It was finally done months of work. He stood up from the countertop and wobbled as the built in gyros stabilized himself. He staired at the metal and polymer hand in front of him closing and opening it a few times.
It felt completely different from what he would have felt with his actual body, but this would do for tinkering in his lab.
[June 22nd, 1997]
He laughed as he pulled the lever on the particle collider that had been shoddily constructed in the warehouse.
Sky had visited him a few times and was shocked see his type one homunculus with the hydraulics and wires everywhere. It looked shoddy being plugged into the mains but that would soon be fixed once he got his hands on Badassium.
He had analysed the layout recorded of the stark expo and had figured out the structure of the element. It had taken about the equivalent of the entire states power supply for a few minutes but now he had enough of it to create more so that was the first thing he did.
[March 13th, 1998]
Four homunculus pottered around the sprawling laboratory that now covered the entire floor of the warehouse.
He shook his head still confused about how tony stark would manage to create this in a cave. It had taken a few months to create an arc reactor that didn’t explode let alone work efficiently. He had finally managed it and had begun work on the Muon emitters that functioned as the main weapons as well as the thrusters on Iron Man.
[April 4th, 1999]
Stood in front of him was the first prototype of a fighter jet. It looked similar to the FX drone from the 2010s. Except this one was completely black.
One of the drones pushed open the door to the warehouse. It rolled out onto a clearing of tarmac. Soon four little hatches on the bottom opened and four tiny white thrusters fired, and the jet took off. A few metres from the ground the landing gear folded into the body and the two thrusters on the back fired as the plane shot off into the sky.
The thrusters on the belly folded away keeping it’s stealth characteristic. It shot up to 60,000 feet in a matter of about thirty seconds.
It had a thrust to weight ratio of about 9:1 meaning it could go straight up if it wanted to. This kind of acceleration would cause a human to die almost instantly. Within a few seconds of reaching the desired altitude it went supersonic but didn’t create a shockwave because of a material on the wing edge that broke up the sound as well as absorbed radar waves.
Thanks to the fact that it didn’t need an air intake because it was being powered by two mega Muon emitters along with the fact that it didn’t have control surfaces because it used it’s thrust as steering it’s radar signature was the size of a pin head. So, practically Invisible.

It shot along for a few minutes now over the Atlantic and began to accelerate again. It eventually caused a sonic boom at around Mach 3. It eventually stopped accelerating at around Mach 13. Which was about half the speed of an ICBM.
Mike sighed realizing that if he pushed it any further it would break apart decided to just let it lap the world a few times to see how long they could last.
After a few days Mike was happy with its cruising ability so once it was in the middle of the pacific, he decided to test its manoeuvring. On the top and the bottom two flaps opened redirecting the thrust forward and the Jet at once slowed once it was back below Mach 1 he set the two thrusters to one up and the other down a few degrees it immediately did a barrel roll which he quickly corrected.
He played around with the controls for a while getting used to it while writing algorithms to autonomously control these in the future.
This was the peak epitome of current human technology and he felt like he needed to test it. He immediately turned the Jet back towards Asia.
[A few hours later – UN No Fly Zone, South Eastern Europe]

Mike opened the flaps of the boosters which deliberately compromised the stealth characteristics of the Jet. Within a few seconds he received a radio warning about entering a no fly zone.
After about a minute he picked up two F-15s on an intercept course. He then waited as one came into view of the onboard cameras. The other was a few miles back and had gained a missile lock of him.
“Unidentified Aerial Vehicle, you are ordered to change course. If you enter the no fly zone we will open fire.” Came the voice of a pilot.
Mike just ignored the pilot and kept his course.
The pilot was ordered to keep his distance and prepare to engage if the bogey continues to ignore the warning.
After a few seconds he had passed the no fly zone. His on board radar detected the launch of a missile from the Fighter a few miles back as the one closer to him banked left to get out of the blast zone.
The missile arrived a few second after its launch. A quarter of a second before it contacted him his rear radar blasted it with terawatts worth of radar frying the electronics. It just darted straight past him with a slight dip of his wing.
A few seconds later another two missiles were launched which after about a second were blasted with more radar. He then closed the Hatches on his belly and then dived straight down, all three missiles shot past his previous position.
The pilot, realizing his missiles where ineffective got the closer jet to make a gun run after they could no longer get a radar or heat lock on me and only visual.
The jet closest to Mike, did a dive while turning to catch up. He deliberately had not fired the engine to make this fun.
The jet got a gun solution on him and a half second hum from the Vulcan was let out. Hundreds of rounds darted towards him, but both his thrusters pointed to the left sending him into a spin and the rounds darted straight past him. He then hit his thrusters and shot off into the distance with the closer jet struggling to keep its nose on me, currently experiencing over Six G. Another burst was let out which missed due to the pilot having to do it by eye.
He then noticed that the earlier one was now heading our way, so he decided to bolt out of here noticing two British harriers were on their way as well.
I hit the thruster heading straight towards the pair of brits.
As he passed the right between the two passing right next to them, he let out the audio recording over there radio It was in Nicole’s voice carrying her perfect British accent. “Pollocking Twats.”
She laughed for a few seconds before cutting the radio and then shot of back in the direction of the pacific after they had lost all visual of her.
