When Mari woke in the morning she was expecting the new quests that appeared, what she wasn't expecting was the changes in Nuit.
“What? Nu, what happened?” Mari picked up her fox companion and examined her new tail.
Originally Mari had been able to sense a faint amount of the Space Affinity in her fur and Nature Affinity in her tail, now it was much more apparent.
The original tail now had a green tip that exuded a noticeable hint of Nature Affinity, the new tail had a blue tip and held Water Affinity.
Her normal white fur definitely shimmered with Space Affinity. “Let’s look at your status screen.”
Nuit - Level 2 [0%]
Title(s): Guardians assistant, Newborn [50%]
HealthPoints(HP): 400
Stats: Locked
Skills: Locked
*Stats and Skills are locked until the assistant reaches level 5.
Affinities: Space, Nature, Water
“Oh! You leveled up, I guess you level up with each finished floor,” Mari set Nuit back down and scratched her head. “It looks like you also get the affinity of the new floor as well, but we still have a long way to go to reach floor five…”
“No time to be lazy then, let’s get back to work and check out these new quests.”
Reputation!
Important people have noticed you and are on the way, ready your forge for the first impression.
* Create a save zone on each floor + 300c
* Declare a boss monster for each floor + 600c
* Each Island on Floor two has a unique monster + 500c
“Save zone, Boss Monster, and Unique Monsters, you know it really is like a game.” Mari sighed and looked at the next screen.
Floor 3!
* Create Floor 3!
* 1000c
“Okay, I expected that, what’s this other quest?” Mari swiped away the Floor 3 quest, she wasn't ready to move on yet.
Inhabitants!
When there are 3 Inhabitants within a territory they form a society and give special benefits for the Floor and forge.
* Make a Society + 1000c
“1000 credits!” Mari exclaimed, so far the only quest that gave that much as a reward was to make a new floor.
“But, making an Inhabitant is expensive,” Mari trailed off as she had an idea. “After I made a new monster blueprint, using the same blueprint is cheaper, I wonder if it's the same for Inhabitants.”
Mari opened the Characters tab and selected Inhabitants, Sure enough, there was a new option.
Inhabitants

* Inhabitant Base Form
* Blueprints
* Species: Merfolk - Scorpionfish -200c
"Perfect, let's get two more and make my first Society," Mari walked over to the table and made her two purchases. This time the normal tiny holograms of monsters showed up instead of the hologram that Loria had appeared in.
"Let's look at their status screen, I wonder what's different between them and Loria." Mari pulled up both screens as well as Loria's to compare them.
Name: Loria
Species: Merfolk - Scorpionfish
Role: Inhabitant
Role: Locked -500c
Level 1 [0%]

* Camouflage
* Venomous spines
* Mesmerizing beauty

* Fierce

* Cunning
"Okay, that's Loria, what are the other two like." Mari looked over but found that before she could view them she needed to either fill out the personality list herself or randomize it first.
"Let's randomize it, make it more original." She decided.

Role: Locked -500c

"I like it," Mari decided and allocated them to Loria's territory. With that, she got the 1000 credit reward which brought her current credit count up to 1,825 credits.
"That should hopefully be enough to complete the other quests before new Warriors arrive." Mari nodded to herself and decided to return to the First floor.
Switching over the table Mari pulled up the Status of Floor 1.
Floor 1
----------------------------------------
Affinity: Nature
Monsters: 1 Forest Advocate, 1 Forest Wolf, 1 Star Chaser, 1 Night Watcher
Boss Monster: 0
Safe Zone: *Not Declared
Lore:
“Once upon a time, long ago in a land far away, there was a star who loved to watch the worlds below her.
One day as she danced with her fellow stars, painting a brilliant light across the night sky she saw a green light in a world below her.
Ignoring her fellow stars' warning she danced her way down and searched for the light. When she found it she was awed by the wonder of the forest heart, but when she touched it she accidentally shattered it with her power.
Heartbroken and guilty by her accident, she used all the power of her star and grasped the closest shard to her chest halting the destruction of the forest.
Be warned, Warriors her power weakens with every passing night where she stays away from the night sky.”
Quest Giver: A blue butterfly with the personality traits of Gentle, Compassionate, Mysterious, Eloquent, and Mature.
* Quest Given:
Heart of the Forest
Find the fractured piece from the Heart of the Forest and witness the wonder of the stars
* Defeat all Monsters
* Find the Heart Piece
Reward
+ Basic Enchanted Sword with a +2% Nature buff to Magic.
"Hmm, that's what I was expecting to see," Mari scratched her nose lightly and clicked on Boss Monster.
Boss!
----------------------------------------
Choose from one of the available monsters to elevate them to the Boss Role.
*A Boss is the strongest existence on the floor, the special trait of a Boss is a permanent soul. All Monster Cores under Unique are simple and stale, basically an empty shell. But a Boss gains a newborn soul that can grow and learn. When a monster is killed the shell is simply rebuilt, but a Boss will remember and learn from each defeat thus filling the shell.
* Forest Advocate - 200c
* Forest Wolf - 100c
* Star Chaser - 100c
* Night Watcher - 200c
"I wonder what the differences are between the monsters, what makes the Forest Advocate and Night Watcher cost more than the Forest Wolf and Star Chaser?" Mari pondered as she considered the options.
In the end, she went with the Forest Advocate as that was the original idea that went into its creation.
Once selected and paid for the hologram of the Monster deer on the table lifted up into the air and began to change.
It grew larger, now big enough that its antlers would poke out from the treetops. Next, the mossy fur darkened and thickened and flowers sprouted. Finally, his antlers grew thicker and sharper, glowing green sigils carved themselves onto its woodlike visage.
"Wow," Mari whispered as her first Boss Monster stared back at her. "That was cool."
