Mari rushed to her table and after a moment of fumbling switched it back to the first floor.
There in the center of the floor in a small clearing, the 7 Warriors stood shocked by their surroundings, as Mari focused on them the map changed and zoomed in on them allowing her to see them clearer.
"What happened? Where were we teleported? Zu cast a scan spell," The older grey-haired male in black armor began to bark orders almost immediately and Mari was grateful there was sound available.
Before the male could do anything the Scroll Mari recognized from when she made the Lore appeared. The group gathered around it and seemed hesitant to touch it, thankfully it seemed they didn't have to as the scroll opened and grew larger.
The blonde-haired woman stepped forward and began to read the scroll aloud. “Once upon a time, long ago in a land far away, there was a star who loved to watch the worlds below her.
One day as she danced with her fellow stars, painting a brilliant light across the night sky she saw a green light in a world below her.
Ignoring her fellow stars' warning she danced her way down and searched for the light. When she found it she was awed by the wonder of the forest heart, but when she touched it she accidentally shattered it with her power.
Heartbroken and guilty by her accident, she used all the power of her star and grasped the closest shard to her chest halting the destruction of the forest.
Be warned, Warriors her power weakens with every passing night where she stays away from the night sky.” When she finished she stepped back and turned to the older man.
"Markus! Isn't this interesting, this must be why the goddess sent us here she must want us to save the Star Lady!" She seemed very confident in this and immediately kneeled to pray. Markus only frowned before reminding Zu to cast his spell.
The young black-haired male wrote an odd shape into the air with a black glowing finger, once he did he seemed to be able to see something the others couldn't as he began to spin around watching his surroundings.
"Luci, Lucky, keep your guard up," Mari squinted, this guy looked like a stereotypical pirate, with loose clothing, sun-kissed skin, and a fancy pointed hat like right out of a movie. "I'm going to get a better look at that scroll."
His two companions also looked like pirates, the girl looked like a younger female copy of him and the older male seemed to be close to the pair, if Mari was understanding the way they stood together.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
"Wherever we are has an unnatural amount of Magic. It's everywhere, in the air, the trees, the grass, and even the bugs are filled with magic." The spellcaster who Mari assumed was Zu finally spoke up.
"So," The blonde male scoffed "Even a child knows that Magic is in everything." Zu frowned and continued to speak "But it's not pure magic, it seems to be mostly Nature affinity, with a bit of something I don't recognize."
The old man sighed and looked around carefully, "Sora, are you able to sense anything?"
The blonde female looked up from her prayers startled."Oh, uh, yes sorry," She stood up quickly. "Let me check." Sora closed her eyes and held her hands out facing the sky.
Mari tilted her head and watched her curiously. Seconds later Sora began to glow and when she opened her eyes they had turned gold, it only lasted for a moment but it freaked Mari out.
"I don't sense any corruption," She paused and smiled brightly, "But the Goddess says we must wait patiently, soon a 'Quest Giver' will arrive and tell us more."
Her words made the group nervous and Mari noticed that the only ones who seemed at ease were the two blondes, Sora, and the rude man.
The Pirates who had been reading the Lore Scroll carefully finally spoke up. "What do you think would happen if we touched it?" It was the girl who asked this, Luci, Mari assumed.
Her two companions tried to stop her but were too late she had already grabbed the scroll from the air. There was a tense moment as everyone waited for something to happen to her, but the only thing that changed was the scroll returning to its smaller size.
"Huh, so nothing I guess," She seemed oddly disappointed with that.
"Luci! For the last time, stop touching unknown magical objects!" Her older copy shouted with a tired groan. The older pirate just laughed and shook his head, this seemed to be a regular occurrence.
"Markus," Zu grabbed the attention of the group and pointed at the blue butterfly that was approaching them. "That butterfly is radiating powerful magic, it feels familiar to divine magic, but it's a bit off."
The group turned to watch as it neared and then stopped a few feet away from the group. Suddenly a Screen appeared in front of each Warrior offering them a quest.

The Warriors stared confused. "I guess that's the 'Quest Giver'," Sora whispered and stared at the blue butterfly with disturbing intensity.
"An Enchanted Weapon!" The blonde male shouted. "We'll be rich! Even a basic Enchanted Weapon can sell for its weight in gold!"
"Yes, but it says to get it we have to 'Defeat all Monsters'. I don't know about you but I'm not so confident we can defeat any monsters that exist in an area so rich in magic." Zu quietly added.
The blonde scoffed, "You're just scared. Always running away huh, guess you can't escape your past-"
"Luke! Enough," Markus interrupted. "We can't afford to argue in enemy territory, we have to make a decision. Continue forward, or retreat for now, and prepare. Think carefully, your lives could be in danger if we continue."
