Nadia Was a Diva?

Nadia Was a Diva?

“How did training go?” asked Amethyst plopping down her lunch tray at the table.

“Why don’t you ask the ecstatic Ice Queen,” grumbled Phila as she slurped her soup. “I got electrocuted by Dian.”

“These things happen, and it’s only your first day!” said Garnet. Sahara came to the table walking with Nadia.

“Is there room here?” asked Sahara. Garnet scooched over. Nadia hesitantly sat down.

“Do you guys know Nadia?” Ella asked Amethyst and Garnet.

“Well,” said Amethyst looking at Nadia. “It’s complicated, but yes.”

“Allow me to explain. I used to be one of the ‘Ice Divas’ back when I had three as my roommates. Dian had half, and I had half. Anyways, before you guys showed up they used to allow non-ice members into their clique. But now they’re being racist, because I’m warmer than they are. So I’m an ex-member,” said Nadia. “And most people don’t like me because I used to be part of the snobby group.”

Ella watched as she spotted a pair of wings from across the lunchroom. The wings turned around to reveal they were attached to a boy, a cute boy with flippy black hair. Ella’s heart throbbed as she watched him walk across the lunchroom towards her table. Her eyes were fixed on him. As he got closer and closer she finally stood up.

“Hi, I’m Ella, I’m just like you!” she said putting her hand out for him to shake. He didn’t take it.

“We were made for each other,” whispered Ella to the hot dude.

“Um, I have a girlfriend,” said the dude pointing to the only other winged person at the school sitting behind Ella. Ella’s heart sunk. She remembered now Dian mentioning there were only two other winged people, and they were dating.

“Yeah, sorry, I’m being awkward. My name’s Hiro Tadashi by the way. I’m going to go now,” said Hiro. Ella looked down at her food.

“I guess I’m meant to be forever alone,” said Ella, sadly. Phila morphed into the hot guy.

“Ella, I love you,” she said jokingly. Everyone at the table laughed.
