{Team Rocket main Base}
Giovanni was sitting by his desk, he returned recently from the cave, and he had the Pokeball that Mewtwo was in, in his hand just holding it, almost as if he still somehow couldn't believe everything worked.
He breathed a heavy sigh, and then his computer rang, he looked at who it came from and it was from the Pokémon Mansion, so he answered and transferred it to the big screen.
On the screen appeared Colress. He had blonde hair and had yellow eyes while wearing glasses. He also had a long white lab coat, a pair of white gloves, and a black uniform with blue outlines. However, he didn't have his blue cowlick around his head.
Giovanni looked at the scientist, "Colress, how is everything coming along."
To be honest, Colress earned Giovanni's respect, he was the man behind the idea of reviving this project and even helped in Project Mewtwo as well, although he seemed to be more interested in the former.
Giovanni only met Colress a few months ago, when he started he didn't think much of the man and just sent him to work under some of the other scientists, but he quickly proved his worth practically speedrunning his position.
Giovanni even offered Colress the head scientist position and the tidal of Executive, but Colress respectfully declined, in his words, he was no good in a battle, he just wanted to research.
As Giovanni was reminiscing, Colress caught his attention, "Sir we have successfully created the egg, now we only wait for your permission to hatch it."
Giovanni nodded, they wouldn't wait for the Egg to hatch, there's no telling how long that could take, instead they could use Professor Sebastian's Evolution-Inducement Wave to make it hatch.
The Evolution-Inducement Wave was originally only designed to evolve Magikarp into Gyarados, with the side effect that if normal Pokemon heard it it would cause them a lot of discomfort and potential pain or sickness.
But once again thanks to Colress it was modified to help accelerate hatching eggs, obviously they already tested it, there would be no point if it caused the Pokemon significant damage, and thankfully there were none to speak of, the previous experiments hatched with no other birth-conditions.
And some of them were even given to other scientists to both raise and be able to check for any long-term effects, of which there were also none, in everyone's mind thanks to Colress and Sebastian's genius they created a machine with no drawbacks.
Giovanni smiled happily, "Very well, but you know what you will need to do,
"Of course, warn everybody to prepare. After all, as soon as people hear those sound waves and see their Pokemon acting strange, the gym leader will mobilize." Colress answered
"Yes, remember we chose that location because it is remote and it will take others like Lance or Oak some time to get there," Giovanni explained, "You may release Zapmolcuno so that it may test its strength against Blaine, it may be an infant but even that should be enough for Blaine."
Colress nodded, "I shall inform everyone,"
Giovanni nodded back then he saw a Grunt come into his office to inform him that the 'package' was here with a messenger.
Giovanni turned back to Colress, "Very well, let's end this here, we can talk about the results after." Then he hung up and gestured for the secretary to let the messenger in.
But without warning a man with white hair and a ninja outfit appeared in the room with a large crate next to him, it was a member of the Shadow Triad, although his hair wasn't as long as his game counterpart and had a mask over his eyes instead of the mouth.
Giovanni looked unimpressed and just looked at the Ninja, "Is this it?"
The Ninja gave a single nod, "Lord Ghetsis entrusted me to deliver this to you,"
Giovanni looked at his desk and typed into his computer, "So be it, I'll have my Team send the rest of the money."
Then he got up and started approaching the crate, but the Ninja was still in the room, Giovanni raised his eyebrow, "If you're expecting a tip don't hold your breath, I have what I need so you can go."
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"Lord Ghetsis told me that I won't return until he receives all the money." the Ninja responded quickly
Giovanni rubbed the temple of his head, "I don't think he meant that literally, but whatever, could you at least go to the financial department to wait."
The Ninja didn't say anything but disappeared again just like he came in letting Giovanni finally open the box and look inside.
As soon as he saw it he smiled, inside the crate was armor specifically tailored with Mewtwo's measurements, although the purpose of this armor was not to enhance Mewtwo's strength, no it had plenty of that, instead it was so that they could control it.

{Pokemon Mansion}
After Colress hung up he smiled seeing how far his plans had come, he came here under the orders of Ghetsis, that's right he was Technically part of Team Plasma, but only by name.
In reality, he actually disagreed with what Team Plasma stood for, to liberate Pokémon from humans, it simply wasn't logical, but then again he couldn't help but think that Ghetsis himself agreed with him.
He had caught Ghetsis slipping, you see he would constantly go out and give speeches to the public to gather support for the ideas of Team Plasma, however every now and then he would refer to himself instead of Team Plasma.
Although Colress didn't quite know if those really were Ghetsis' true motives, he didn't really care, his goal was something he truly aspired to do, to find a way to bring out the True maximum strength of a Pokemon.
To him all that talk about 'bonding with your Pokemon', loving your team, and other nonsense, none of that will change that the strongest Magikarp would lose to the weakest Dragonite.
Why are some Pokemon above others, why do some get the privilege to evolve or even Mega evolve and some don't, why are Legendaries so much more powerful than regular Pokemon despite none of them ever putting in any work, in fact, he believes that not even those Legendaries know where their power comes from.
To him, the only difference is that all these Legendaries have fewer imperfections than others, and yet with those very genetics it could save years of effort, even a lifetime.
His Goal is to remove that random dice roll, so then all Pokemon will remain equal, so then the winner will not be because one is a Magikarp and the other a Dragonite, but because of pure training and dedication. Is that really so bad?
Well, whatever opinion one may have of his goals it mattered not to him, after he finishes with this Project he will disappear from Kanto and return to Unova or maybe travel to a new regen, as for Ghetsis, well it would be a real shame if Kanto had nothing to report about.
Colress didn't care about those goals, but that didn't mean he would help Ghetsis more than he needed to, this whole thing was just Ghetsis' paranoia, as long as Colress sang about how irrelevant Kanto was he would leave him alone.
But that is for later, for now he needed to finish his work, as he walked he thought about what was going to happen, the hatching of the first successful Fusion, Zapmolcuno, but it would have to be unconventional.
Although yes they had the Evolution-Inducement Wave that had no problems, but those were all done with weak Pokemon, in reality, the modified Waves had one drawback, the stronger the Pokemon was the less control one would have of it.
Originally Rattata eggs were used to test the machine, and they all worked fine, but then he personally tried it with an Onix Egg, and it nearly destroyed the Lab it was being held in, there's no telling how aggressive this thing will be once it is released.
But then again, Colress didn't care, Cinnabar could burn for all he cared, he needed to see this data, and then he would disappear from Kanto.
As he entered the main Lab he saw Namba and Sebastian and a few other scientists motoring the Egg, they noticed him, and Sebastian in particular walked up to him.
"What are the results with the Boss?"
"He has given us permission to start, so first you all should inform all the Rocket Grunts and the Admins that Zapmolcuno will be released," Colress said, adjusting his glasses.
No one opposed since Colress earned their trust with his competence, so Namba and Sebastian left the room with the scientist with Colress saying he would catch up.
Then when he was alone he walked towards the container and Looked at the Egg, this was his Project and he couldn't afford Ghetsis finding out about this fusion, not while he didn't understand his motives, but he did want to see the results first hand.
So Colress made a compromise, he typed a command into the computer, then a robotic hand came out and stuck a syringe into the Egg, extracting something and another came in and out something else to patch it up.
Meanwhile, the first robot hand came out and put the liquid into a container for Colress to take, he had it in his hand and looked at it and put it in his pocket, then he put everything back the way it was and left the room to catch up with everyone.

{Back with Ash}
It had been a few hours since Ash started this mining operation, and he gathered some more of the 'ore' in several ways, he got another from mining with Graveler, Charizard found one while diving, and they saw a random Graveler with one, which they provided to jump and take it from.
So overall he has 4 in total, which is more than what he needs, also after jumping that 1 Graveler the other ones seemed to think they overstayed their welcome, so he wrapped everything up and left to get back to the hotel to get some sleep.
Charizard felt pretty refreshed, that lava bath was the equivalent of a jacuzzi for him, and Brock's Graveler seemed quite happy, so much so that he was constantly slamming his rock body… almost unnaturally so.
When they were on the ground he checked it with his pokedex and felt like punching himself.

[Graveler(M)]
[New mutation added… Tempered body]
[Condition: Feels like it has become stronger from the extreme conditions of the volcano, is curious to try it again.]
—
'I can do things to give them those, since when! Isn't the whole point of those things that they need to adapt to get them, how did he get one after 1 night,' Ash screamed in his head but then thought to himself, 'I wonder if I can do something like that again?'
Ash sighed and walked into the hotel and went to his room, he also left Graveler's Pokeball on the counter where he knew Brock would see it, then he went to bed for the night.
The next morning when everyone woke up they left the Hotel to go plan what they would do, he also got Pikachu back on his shoulders from Yellow.
The only other notable thing was that now that they were in an area that wasn't cold Misty took her Egg out of her incubator and was holding onto it again, and she was back to shorts for some reason.
They went ahead, did some business and sightseeing followed by sitting down for Lunch as Ash 'looked' online to find the Gym, though he wasn't putting much effort in since he knew where it was.
"Mmm, it's pretty hard to find anything, apparently the Gym leader hasn't been seen for a few months now," Ash mumbled.
"Can't we just ask around again?" Yellow asked as she fed Chu-chu
"Well that one guy, Sun, didn't know where the Gym was, and considering that he literally lives here, I doubt many other people will be of help."
Brock was bottle feeding Bonsly, "Well it's not like we will be in much of a time Constraint, your already months ahead of other trainers,"
"Yeah but that's not the problem," Ash mumbled as he slouched back in his chair, "Anyway, what do you guys wanna do while we look around."
Everyone shrugged and Misty then looked up at everyone, "Well if that's the case then how about we-"
Suddenly a weird sound came through the air, it wasn't anything just annoying, that is for them, Pokemon all around started holding their ears in agony, and most people were panicking looking around at what was happening and screaming.
Then Misty looked up and saw her Egg violently shaking, making her mutter, "Why did I say a single word…"
