Dying To Win And Risking Death To Win, Are Two Different Things.

"I'm not going to honor that with a response," Sabrina said

"Aww, how mean(○`3′○) " Ash said with a pouting face.

Seeing that Sabrina let out a small snort, "You're an Idiot"

"That's the name of the game isn't it, I mean we just fought a giant ghost that eats souls, I guess we are all idiots, hahaha"

Sabrina tried to hold it in but eventually, she also started laughing, "How are we alive, Hahaha"

"I have no Idea, hahaha!"

Charizard eventually returned with Hypno and Alakazam on his back, Alakazam already reverted back to his original form only to see the two laughing.

They both eventually calmed down and Ash wiped away a tear, "So what are you going to do now?"

"Honestly, I never thought I would get this far, for the longest time I hated this monster but now I kinda feel confused about what to do."

"Well you are wearing a Kimono, and the festivities aren't over," Ash said as he grabbed Abra and put her over his face.

Then he put on an overly dramatic voice to make it look like Abra was talking, "It could be fun, could you do it for me."

Sabrina sighed, "How can I say no to such a cute Abra, sure why not."

"Yay!" Then he put Abra down, "I'll meet you down there. I need to pick up some things," then he jumped on his fire Lizard, put the sleeping mouse in his bag, and rolled off the cliff they were on with Abra.

Sabrina watched Ash roll off and then looked over at the People in the town who were celebrating, and for the first time in a long time, she gave a genuine smile.

A few minutes later everyone met back up, Brock and Ash swapped Pokemon again, after the victory people in the crowd cheered for them since some People were able to watch the battle, and information like that spread like wildfire.

The old man stepped forward to meet eye-to-eye with Ash and Sabrina, "I must say I am impressed, I didn't expect you to put up such a good fight, both of you."

Misty slipped into the conversion, "You weren't so bad yourself old man."

"Yes, I suppose, but the results are… unexpected but not unwelcome, I suppose we will have a good story the next time we meet with the other towns in the area." the Old man chuckled.

"By the way how did you come to know about the Pokeball, every town agreed to keep it a secret even from Gym leaders."

"Will there was this nice old woman, looked around your age, she told us about it," Ash said.

"What, but there aren't any old ladies in this town, I would know I'm a bit of a connoisseur myself, haha," he chuckled.

That confused the group so Sabrina spoke up, "I can confirm that this is not made up, there was an old woman who told us everything."

The old man immediately stopped laughing, "If this is true then I need to talk to the others, I will take my leave then, it is best you keep that matter to yourselves, oh and enjoy the rest of the festival." Then he walked away.

"Well that's not concerning," Misty said looking at the Golduck who was also walking away, "I should get Psyduck one of these days."

"Sooooo, what now?" Yellow said, fidgeting her fingers, "It looks like most of the things they were going to do were destroyed."

"Well let's just see what is left, besides I'm pretty sure they still have fireworks, besides this time we have a +1," Ash said announcing Sabrina.

Sabrina tensed up and made an awkward wave, Misty almost instinctively grabbed onto Brock's ear as she also greeted her.

A wise move because not even a second later Brock tried throwing himself to the ground

Yellow also stood in front of her and in a panicked state she bowed, "Hello Ms.Sabrina."

Ash could not waste this golden opportunity, he went over to Yellow and put his arm around her, "Yellow don't be so formal, she isn't that much older than us, just call her Onee Chan."

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Yellow who didn't know any better nodded, "Ok," then turned to Sabrina, "It is nice to meet you, Onee Chan."

Ash almost burst out laughing as everyone looked stunned at what just happened, Misty stepped forward, and pulled Yellow into a protective hug, "You're a bad influence."

"Thank you I try, it is always nice to see my efforts being recognized," Ash said, doing a bow.

Sabrina looked at everyone acting like a dysfunctional family and laughed, making everyone look at her, "Hahaha, I'm sorry, haha."

Ash also chuckled a bit and managed to steal Yellow out of Misty's hands, "Come on then I think we might be able to convince them to lift their ban on me, let's clean them out!"

Misty was about to do something, probably try to punch Ash on the head, but once she heard his offer she did a complete 180 and was ready to take advantage of the situation.

And when they got over there the people in the stalls were grateful, and lifted his ban, but when they heard he was going to start playing again they almost vomited blood.

And for the next hour, it was just highway robbery, by the time that Misty was satisfied with the amount of Plushies, most of the vendors were contemplating life.

Ash also got Yellow a Pikachu and Sabrina an Abra she was looking at, Yellow would have said no if the same thing didn't happen on the S.S. Anne, so she just accepted it knowing that Ash would just insist.

But Sabrina didn't know, "No, it's fine you don't have to get me one,"

"Come on what kind of Little brother would I be if I didn't get my Big sister a Plushie she wanted," Ash said with a smirk.

"No, I have to refuse."

"I refuse your refusal,"

"That's not how that works!"

Eventually, Sabrina gave up and accepted the Plushie.

Brock said he wanted to find a girl to dance with and left before anyone could tell him anything, so they all sat down and grabbed some Kare Pan from a stand, (Kare Pan is basically Japan's version of funnel cake.)

They were currently waiting for the fireworks show to start as they were talking about stuff.

"Wait so that's actually what happened on the ship?" Sabrina asked.

"Yep Team Rocket showed up and sank it, still don't know what they didn't even manage to steal anything," Misty said, taking a bite of the fried bread.

"Yeah, it was stressful, to say the least," Yellow said.

"If I had known, maybe I would have accepted the offer to go on there too," Sabrina mumbled.

"I mean yeah, first that and now this, I don't know whether to be stressed or annoyed," Ash said leaning back with his hand on his face.

"I'm serious about what I said, I want a Month-long vacation from this, if something else happens I'm taking Abra and Yellow and letting you take care of it," Misty said.

"Nooooo, how could you take the kids, first the house and then the car now the kids." Ash said over-dramatically and 'fell over'.

Misty rolled her eyes and grabbed Ash by the scruff to help him up.

"Anyway Yeah I don't blame you, I really don't want to deal with any more big bad evil whatever, there was even a time before you joined us in Mt Moon," Ash said.

"I-I'm not even surprised at this point."

"Hey I don't go looking for it, they just kinda show up, I mean you can't tell me someone else somewhere isn't being chased by some eldritch being or vice versa," Ash said

"Yeah yeah, Ima go get some more cake," Misty said walking off.

"By the way," Yellow said, getting Ash's attention, "How is Brock doing?"

Looking over to the side Ash saw Brock being surrounded by a bunch of People, "Things are either going really good or really bad."

"You're talking about how Brock is probably getting kicked in the chest," Misty said, returning.

"I mean you're probably not wrong but you didn't have to say it, have some faith everyone gets lucky sometimes."

"Yeah but he still acts desperate, you'd think he'd at least wait for a yes or no instead of hitting on anything that breathes."

"So that's normal?" Sabrina asked.

"Not normal, but normal for him," Misty said.

"Should we go help him?" Yellow asked.

"Probably" Misty sighed walking away with Yellow behind her leaving Ash and Sabrina alone.

"You know you never answered my question, what are you planning to do, have you come up with anything?" Ash asked.

"Not really, I haven't ever put much time into thinking about it, I really spent the last few years obsessing over that monster and now that it is all over I don't know, I even prepared to-"

"Risk it all, right." Ash cut her off, making Sabrina widen her eyes in surprise.

"You knew?"

"Not entirely but I had an idea after seeing you get captured, and you just confirmed it, you were planning on letting it eat your soul then you were going to destroy it from the inside."

Sabrina couldn't deny his words, "Not exactly but you mainly got the gist of it, I never put much effort into relationships and kept a cold personality to everyone so that I wouldn't hesitate and no one would miss me, but couldn't even do that."

Ash leaned back, "You know there is a saying I like to remember, Dying to win and Risking death to win, are two different things."

Sabrina who was looking down looked back over to Ash but was met with Ash flicking her on the head. Making Sabrina rub the spot that she got flicked.

Ash got up, "You shouldn't just focus on what is best for everyone else, it's okay to be selfish every now and then, so I'll give you some more time to think, What do you want to do."

Behind him, the fireworks show started lighting up the area with the beautiful light show.

Ash turned around, "Aw man I missed the first firework of the night,"

Then he turned back to Sabrina and held his hand out, "Whatever let's go find everyone and watch together."

---

In a corner far away from the town a bit of smoke gathered and formed one eye, "How dare that", this won't be the last you see of me I will return, and I will enjoy your soul Aura Guardian, JieJieJie.

The next morning after everything finished and everyone was well rested, everyone changed back into their regular clothes, and me with Sabrina at the edge of the town.

Sabrina looked at Ash and spoke up, "I had a feeling about something, your a trainer aiming to fight the Gyms aren't you"

"Yep, right on the money."

"Well, then I will be waiting for you at Saffron City to accept your challenge," Sabrina said a bit overdramatically.

"Um, Actually I was going to skip the Saffron gym and come back later," Ash said, scratching the back of his head.

"Eh Σ(°△°|||),"
