Pokemon: Radical Redux
Oak: "It's Not Like I’m Going To Forget"

Oak: "It's Not Like I’m Going To Forget"

Oak stayed silent for a few moments after hearing Ash's request.

"Erm, Ash my boy, why do you want to meet with them? I don't even recall telling you about Professor Mirror or that I am in contact with them."

Ash squinted his eyes "Yeah well that argument doesn't hold water when you once forgot to grade my test, only my test."

Oak looked away and slightly scratched his cheek as he gave a forced chuckle, "Y-yeah well at least you managed to pass in the end."

"Yeah after Dragonite gave you a panic attack," Ash said as Dragonite gave a thumbs up from the side.

"Anyway as for why I want to meet with them, let's just say I have some things they will want."

"Erm, well if you want to keep it a secret that's fine, but I can ask them but there's no guarantee they'll be willing to respond."

Ash chuckled, "Please you're the Legendary Professor Samuel Oak, if you tell them they can evolve a Pokemon by making it eat dirt they'll believe you and call themselves stupid when it doesn't work."

"I-I don't know if I should be flattered or concerned, but are you sure I can't give you something else, my training techniques are still on the table. I managed to break the current record in my time and won the Indigo conference in 2 years with them, and I've only improved it from there."

Ash just shook his head, "No I like training Pokemon myself and besides shouldn't you be offering that to Gary instead."

Oak gave another forced laugh, "Hehe, well actually I did offer it but he rejected them much like you did."

"Hmm, well there's always Green or the next generation, I hear they're doing pretty good, how many of them are there actually"

"Yeah, I suppose, umm as of right now there are 5 people from Pallet Town that want to become trainers next year, and after that is only those 3."

"Wow so above average then average, well seems like good things don't last, anyway when do you think you could call them?"

Oak scratched his chin, "Well if you insist, with Lance, it's tough to say but I can probably get into contact with him relatively easily and get him here in a few days, as for Professor Mirror it's complicated, he is currently studying a new phenomenon over in the Lental region, it's far but I should be able to call him in a week."

Ash shrugged, "Well what can you do, but that's better than I expected, I half prepared for you to just say no, but no takebacks."

Then Ash and Abra both gave one final peace sign and both disappeared, leaving Oak and Dragonite both alone.

Oak rubbed the temple on his head, "I guess I'll do it tomorrow."

As Oak was about to walk to the door, Dragonite stepped in front of him and blocked the way, and gave a low growl.

Oak waved his hands in front of him, "Hey now, I promise I'll do it tomorrow, It's not like I'm going to forget."

Dragonite just raised her eyebrow, "Dragoooonit?"

"Ok just because you have a point, doesn't mean I'm going to guarantee I'm going to forget."

"Drag-gon(▼ヘ▼#)"

"OK fine, how about I send a message now and put a sticky note to remind me." Oak offered.

Dragonite thought about it, but after a moment she gave a nod and walked out with the sleeping dog still in her arms.

Professor Oak sighed and sat down on his computer to do some unplanned work, also looking at the notebook he offered Both Gary and Ash, "Are my training techniques that unpopular?"

Ash was back in Sabrina's family mansion. It was already dark and Ash checked in on Yellow and Pikachu who were both already sound asleep, so he left them to sleep.

He walked through the halls of the mansion and got to the room that was supposedly his, but next to the door he saw Sabrina sitting on a chair and holding onto the Abra plush he got her.

"Where have you been?" Sabrina asked, her pink eyes almost glowing in the dark,

"Have you been there the whole time?"

"That's not important, I asked first where have you been."

"Wellll, I had to go get some work done."

"What kind?"

Ash's eyes twitch, "Does it matter?"

"When you're in my home it does."

"You're the one who forced me to come here," Ash said bluntly/

"…"

"…"

"...So?"

"....You know what I can't argue with that logic."

{Ashtwo}

Ash was sitting on a table in a Team Rocket base, he was working on his computer making sure everything was ready for Porygon.

Thanks to his deal with Looker and Annabelle, Ash managed to find out that currently, Team Galactic is barely a Gang with a handful of members, in fact Cyrus hasn't even made himself public and it seems like Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn are not a part of it yet.

Although he has no idea where they were otherwise he would have completely made a pitstop in Sinnoh to do something, but unfortunately, he can't do anything right now, thankfully he has time, but one thing he doesn't know is if 'She' is a part of Team Galactic, he's not even sure if 'She's' a part of Team Rocket.

But he can't find out so he doesn't care, but if that's not what he's doing then what is he you may ask, well it's simple, it's time to dig into Team Rocket's fat pockets.

It was about time that the financial department of Team Rocket would be paying things like bills and salaries so it was the perfect moment to strike, especially since he found out there was embezzlement going on.

Honestly, they should be thanking him for what he's about to do, exposing such dirty people to such a horrible thing to do, and as payment, he'll even do it for a few Billion, truly isn't he so kind?

That might seem like a lot but in-realityTeam Rocket makes that much in about a week, sometimes less depending on what they do. Their net worth in this base alone was a few trillion, which was already an exorbitant amount and wasn't even their main base.

But anyway, as for how he is going to do it, Porygon already did the hard part in finding the patterns of when Money is removed or received and previous employees, when the time comes Porygon will hack the account and steal a few billion.

Porygon made some preparations and encryptions that Ash today didn't steal from spy movies so that no one would notice if everything goes smoothly.

But just to be safe Porygon was ordered to send exactly 1 dollar to every Grunt in the Base including him so that it couldn't be tracked.

The next step was to send the money onto an offshore account Ash made using a fake ID, in fact, he made 2, one for him and one for Akihabara, by then Porygon would destroy any tracks before anything could be tracked

It would happen in a few minutes, Porygon was set to go and Ash just needed to get himself an alibi just in case, but the question was from whom. Enid seemed like she wanted to battle but he has been trying to avoid her, Jay seems good but he isn't too reliable.

Just as he was thinking an arm came around his shoulder looking over he saw the familiar face of Aman.

"Hey kid how have you been?" Aman's much healthier and newly clean-shaven face said.

"I'm fine, also good to see you, you don't look like a middle-aged teacher anymore, that's good."

"Haha, yeah my wife got me all fixed up when I got back home, though she didn't see too happy I got myself in that situation to begin with,"

Ash tilted his head, "I didn't know you were married, does she know about this?"

"Yeah, unfortunately, what can you do? She was born here in Kanto and I'm from Johto, so it's the only way we can be with each other, especially in secret."

"I can't imagine it's easy to build a family with this kinda thing."

"Well we make it work, I even have a son on the way," Aman said laughing.

"Oh, congratulations," Ash said.

Aman laughed and ruffled Ash's head, "You know if my son turns out like you I wouldn't be disappointed"

"What are you trying to adopt me?" Ash said as he waved Aman's hand away.

"Well if you want I could," Aman said still laughing but he was being serious, "I mean you're a prodigy trainer and unlike most grunts, you seem to have a sense of justice, I can tell you're going to go far, I can feel it in my gut."

"Well thanks for the compliment but I have to pass, I have a lot of things that need to be done."

As the conversation continued from the doorway Enid was listening in to the conversation, Jay was also there but he seemed less interested in snooping.

"So remind me again why we need to spy on D. Can't we just, you know, talk to him?" Jay asked

Enid glared at Jay "Of Course you wouldn't understand, if you don't like it then go, you weren't invited."

"Can you two be quiet for a moment," a voice rang out, "It's just getting good."

Looking at the side they saw Sayoko also listening in, but she wasn't there before, "Admin Sayoko, what are you doing here."

Then a masculine voice answered, "Same thing as you, trying to learn about our resident prodigy."

The voice came from Owari who was leaning near the wall, "A 100% success rate is impressive when you consider what he had to do, and then there's you two who have a 75 and 50 respectively on significantly easier jobs."

Enid and Jay lowered their heads, they both tried doing their own missions but they were both lacking in that department, Jay even lost credit from the bike heist because he didn't do the report.

Just then the conversation picked up again, "So you're sure you don't want to join our squad, we could use someone like you, with your talent you'll be able to get promoted quickly." Aman said.

"Look I appreciate the offer but I told you already I prefer working alone, if I work with others that just means I need to look out for more people than just myself," Ash said.

Of Course, everything he was saying was pure BS, after all, he knew 4 people were listening to him, so he played into it.

Aman however didn't so with a complex expression he continued, "So you're fine with being alone? That's fine but having something to protect and someone to go back to is what makes us be able to do better, to be better, and you don't want that?"

"Hey being alone isn't so bad," Ash smiled under the scarf and closed his eyes, "I mean if you die there's no one around that has to mourn you, so you can leave without guilt that you made others sad."

Collectively everyone who was listening remained silent, except Owari who nodded in agreement.

"Kid…" Aman said as he put his hand on his shoulder, "You know kid if you need someone to talk to my troup and I will always be around."

"Thanks…" Ash said, making an overly long silence, "But everyone gets tired of me at some point, then eventually they'll leave. They always do."

As everything remained silent Aman thought about how to lighten the mood, "Hey kid, you know what, I wanted to name my son after you!"

Ash raised his eyebrow, "Really, that's a pretty big commitment you really shouldn't say that on a whim."

"Na, you saved me and my troup's lives and besides I already ran it by my wife, so come on kid lighten up a bit."

Ash chuckled genuinely, "Alright you want to hear my actual name, I'll warn you you'll be the first person I tell you, if you tell anyone I'll kill you~" Ash said jokingly.

Aman picked up on it and joined in, "Ohhh-scary, I guess I'll keep it a secret, so what is it?"

"Well I tell everyone to call D. since that is my middle initial, but my first name, it's…." Ash said purposefully drawing it out.

The uninvited guests leaned in to try and hear as well, this had been a question in the back of their heads for a while now what his real name was.

Of Course, he isn't giving his real name so he chose the person he based this personality on, "It's Katakuri."
