"So you mean to say I can't kill anybody? I mean it's not like I want to kill people anyway. " Krish said while drinking water from the cup.

"Nope. You can kill people but then you will have to complete their journey. You will have to make their most cherished wish come true. " The old man said leaning back on the wall.

"I don't know what you asked for from that damned curse but it better not have something to do with a lot of killing. " He added. Krish looked at him with a complicated expression.

"That's not it. Killing people will let you have their skills and powers.so it's in your own interest if you kill someone. The curse has made many into mindless killers. "

"Then how do they make wishes of all the souls come true? " Krish asked.

"They don't." The old man replied.

"The souls of the dead always check up on you. The burden just gets heavier and there comes a time when you are not able to handle it. The best thing to do at that point is.... to kill yourself. " Old man added as he got up from his chair and went to add wood into the fire.

Krish looked a bit shook. First of all, he had asked something ridiculous from the curse, and now this information..... He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath. A few minutes later he went to sleep. The old man looked and him and smiled with pity as even he didn't know what was in store for him.

The next morning Krish was up early and so was the old man.

"Hey, will you tell me your name now? " Krish asked as the old man had never told his name to anyone. Everyone called him the old man or Mr. Healer.

"No. My name only brings chaos. It's better if you know me just as the old grumpy man. Forget about that, here look at what I have found for you. " He replied with an old paper in his hand.

"What is this? " Krish asked.

"Map of our continent. You will be leaving soon right? " The old man replied with a smirk.

"How do you know that? " Krish said shocked.

"Everyone goes out when they need something. You can't save Layla just by sitting here. You do know how to read right? I heard you were a bright student of your time. " He said throwing the map towards Krish.

Krish opened the map and was surprised by the scale of the map. He had read the old map before the earth evolved but this was something else. The landmass had completely changed. They used to be in the center of the continent but now had shifted all the way to South West of the continent.
