"I have eyes on the targets," Chad said from a nearby rooftop through his comm.
Darius could just make him out. He was looking through the scope mounted on the thirty-caliber hunting rifle Darius had conjured for him to use to start things off. While Chad wasn't the best shot of the group present, his bloodline teleporting ability would let him get into the thick of things faster than anyone else. "Good, I'm watching them through the drone. It looks like they are currently having an early dinner or something."
"Agreed. I see them sitting around the dining room table. I have a clear line of fire on what I think is the leader."
"He the one sitting at the head of the table?" Darius asked.
"Affirmative," Chad answered.
"Dude, why are you talking like that?" Avery asked.
"What? oh, I… it's how you're supposed to talk in situations like this, aren't you?"
"Forget it, doesn't matter." Darius interrupted. he checked over himself one more time, making sure he was ready to go. He had Doom bringer conjured and mounted on his right shoulder, he left off Rain of Fire and Skyblade, the Area of effect would put the captives at risk, and since they were going inside the mansion, his wings would just get in the way. He clenched and unclenched his fists as he looked at his new and improved Spiked War gauntlets. this set was specifically created to work with his Power Armor. not only would they do more damage, with higher Armor Penetration, but they also granted him a whopping plus ten to his base Strength score. and since they were made from the same material as his Power Armor, they even matched.

"Is everyone clear on their roles?" Darius asked. "Farida, Aisha, Billy, Avery, and Ethan; you guys are protecting the captives and crowd control. Liam, Hiroshi, Akira, Chad and I are on offense. We're the only ones able to hit for more than fifty points of damage in a single strike. We know that at least four of them have power armor, and they are likely to have a high defense."
"Yeah, we're clear, Bossman. It's giving cringy ass ick vibes, though. These bougee assholes are straight up cooked, let’s yet them into next week, periodt."
Darius cringed internally a bit at the stream of nonsense that spewed from Ethan's mouth, but he just nodded. "Chad, We're good to go on your signal."

"Rodger, firing in five… four… three… two…" the crack of a gunshot rang out into the still afternoon air, quickly followed by two more. The Glass patio door shattered, and the man jerked in his seat, blood spraying from his chest onto the pristine white tablecloth.

Darius mentally swore and had to minimize the quest quickly. He didn’t have the chance to accept the prompt or not and really didn't want to some petty warlord, but didn't have much choice now. "Move, move, move," He yelled as he launched himself forward, accelerating as quickly as his g-force compensator would allow. As soon as he was in range, he targeted the same man and fired Doom bringer. Unfortunately, the man dove to the side right as he fired, and he only managed to blast a hole through the chair he was sitting on. "Fuck!" Darius clenched his fists in irritation. "Looks like I'm doing this the old-fashioned way."
Darius saw a puff of black mist as Chad appeared beside the empty chair, already swinging both of his bone Kopis swords down on the man, but they rebounded ineffectually. as the man was standing up, Orichalcum plates were sliding over his body as his Power Armor engaged.
just as Darius was passing through the doorway, about to repeat his flying Sparta kick, he felt a heavy impact on his left shoulder along with a sharp pain.

Darius's planned approach was knocked to the side, and he smacked into the wall. Fortunately, he only cracked it instead of just blowing through it. He noticed the shoulder area of his outline flash red for a moment in his H.U.D. before it turned a shade of yellowish green.
"God damn, that hurts!" Darius swore. he panned around and saw all five of the men had their own suits of Power Armor, and the one who'd shot him had the smokey white shine of Titanium.

"Moderate my ass, that mother fucker managed to punch through my armor," Darius swore. he quickly pulled himself away from the wall and brought his forearms up to protect his face as the man got another shot off. The extra armor his Titan's fist provided managed to prevent any damage, but Hardy kept firing at him. With a growl of frustration and anger, Darius charged right at him.
Harding tried to jump to the side, but he managed to trip and stumble. In that moment, Darius knew the man didn’t have any fighting experience, and went all out against him. triggering Rapid strike, Darius felt the thirty Stamina drain from him as the red mist of his Combat Art activated. with an effective strength of thirty, Darius grabbed him and flung him against the wall.
Well, he intended to throw him against the wall, instead the drywall and wooden studs behind it crumbled and Harding flew completely through it. Darius hustled through the new hole and managed to catch him as he was standing back up. The four inch long Orichalcum spikes on his knuckles punched through the titanium armor and into Harding's side. When he pulled his fist back, the last inch of the spikes were covered in the man's blood.
Darius followed through with another three rapid punches before his ability ran out. Harding tried to engage his thrusters and fly away, but Darius managed to grab ahold the man's foot and pulled back with all his might. With his other hand, he punched Harding's back twice before grabbing the foot with his free hand and swinging him around and smashing him into the expensive looking tiled floor.
Darius was about to smash Hardin's face in, helmet or no, but Darius suddenly arched his back and let out a scream of agony. He suffered from a stabbing pain like he'd never felt before in his life. The lower right back section of his Power armor's Icon flashed red before turning yellow.

Darius stumbled to the side as a foot of serrated steel was pulled from his body and he saw one of the other men, this one in steel Power armor, step back and prepared to stab him again with the blade jutting out from his forearm. As the sneaky bastard pulled his arm back, a six-foot rod of pure granite almost smashed into the side of his head. The man managed to duck under most of the blow, but it still clipped him with enough force to make him stagger to the side.

Billy quickly followed up with a swing from the other side of the staff, and it was all Cooper could do to avoid being struck.
Darius felt a sticky wetness running down his leg, inside his armor, and noticed a bleeding icon letting him know he was losing health by the second. He saw Harding trying to crawl away, but Darius turned Doom bringer on him and fired several plasma blasts into his prone form until he quit twitching. Then, stumbling, he called out to Avery over the comms. It only took a handful of seconds for the young man to appear by his side.
"Hold still for a moment," Avery said, and he began channeling one of his new, and more importantly, more powerful, healing spells. After five seconds, pale green lines shone along the arms of his power armor, then a beam of energy shot from his hands and into Darius. he felt the flesh of his shoulder and his side writhe in discomfort, like thousands of insects were crawling all over his wounds, but he just gritted his teach and endured.

Every second Avery held the spell on him, he regained seven Health and lost three more to blood loss. but ager a handful of seconds, the three points he lost from bleeding dropped to two, then to one. By the time the spell ended, Darius was once again back to full health and was no longer in pain. Though he did have a new icon shaped like a kidney on his H.U.D. that he didn't have time to look over. The sounds of fighting were still ongoing. Darius just took the win of having a healer on his team and dove back into the fight.
