#DungeonQuest reddit page:
-> So the rainbow disappeared. Looks like Fountain City was the only place to get an event so far. Did anyone actually get a drop?
-> Only like a thousand people LOL. It was total chaos killing those things. Everyone fighting over one.
-> Man. I'm sorta bummed that I got spawned in Oasis City now. I mean, the area around here is beautiful, but we haven't had any events yet.
-> Yeah one of my friends told me about the event and I spent hours and hours running from another city. I got there right as it was getting dark and there was nothing except what looked like an earthquake.
-> Wait an earthquake? What about the pretty pools and waterfalls?
-> Uhhhhh, there was just one pond in the middle, a bunch of ruined rocky places and fallen trees, and some signs of battle.
-> Does anyone know what happened?
-> It looked that way when I went this morning too. Someone told me about waterfalls but I didn't see any.
-> This is so weird... it was beautiful before.
-> It was the raid boss. When it appeared, there was a massive earthquake, and everything ended up getting destroyed.
-> Raid boss!?!?!!! Why has no one talked about this?
-> After all the little slimes got killed a mega version appeared. It didn't attack at all, and it only took one damage from any attacks. Eventually it exploded and everyone got the drop.
-> What does the drop do again? I know someone mentioned it before but I don't want to go look for it.
-> Prismatic Tear - Increases the chance of rare items from the next 300 monsters you kill. It's bound to your character and can't be turned on or off, stolen or given away. So a lotta people around Fountain City have been farming less, looking for specific monsters so they can get good drops.
-> Did anyone else see the guy with the slime by the bar
-> What are you talking about
-> I was eating with my party super late and needed some fresh air. I walked outside and there was a guy carrying one of the slimes from the event.
-> You sure it wasn't a life-size plushie that he got as a drop? :P I heard you can get things like statues and figurines.
-> Dunno. I followed him for a bit. He seemed to be just wandering in the city. I trailed him for over 15 minutes because I thought maybe it was a quest hook or an event or something. "Beggar carrying a slime" or something like that.
-> Wait he was a beggar?
-> Ya his clothes were totally ripped up.
-> Sort of like the daemon wheel guy?
-> Who?
-> This guy. At the prize wheel at the carnival last week, a guy spun the wheel and got a cursed item. I took the shot because the daemon was insane, but my girlfriend's first comment was that the guy's clothes are totally shredded. Weird.
(Photo uploaded of daemon, with prize wheel and Gabe at bottom)
-> That's him! That's the guy who had the slime! Also what is that thing?!?
-> LOL you shoulda heard the people scream. It's a daemon. Pronounced "Demon" with a little leaning toward "Damon." Major enemy that the mage at the carnival captured. It was giving out curses etc - go back and look at the thread because I don't want this one to get derailed.
-> Ok cool I'll look for it.
-> So is this guy a player or an NPC?
-> His clothes look sorta like starting equipment, but he doesn't have a weapon equipped. I'm guessing he's a unique NPC with a backstory. Maybe a quest giver or something?
-> Cool. If anyone sees him, mention it? I'm interested in this.
-> I think I actually saw him working out in the fields outside the city.
-> Like farming?
-> No like actual working out. Sit-ups and weight lifting. It was weird.
-> Where at?
-> Come to think of it, it was pretty close to where the rainbow started.
-> !?!?! We gotta find this guy. Anyone who wants to help, meet at the central fountain in 30 minutes. He's a quest giver for sure! Maybe he's the key to start the next event or something.

30 minutes later, a group of 15 adventurers gathers around the central fountain of Fountain Square.
Guy 1: "Alright. Our goal is to find information about ripped-clothes guy. Here's the best photo we have of him, thanks to Jen."
He distributed a copy of the photo from the prize wheel.
Guy 1: "We have confirmation from someone that he still wears the same clothes, and that he was wandering inside the city at night last night, and sometimes exercises outside the city in the morning. If he's an NPC, there's a chance that other NPC's will know something about him. He might have a daily schedule, or somewhere he lives, friends, etc."
Guy 1: "We'll split up into groups and split the city into 8 segments. I'll take the north-north-east slice, the next group will take the next section clockwise, and so on. If you are more familiar with an area, speak up now. Each of us will have a segment of downtown, midtown, and outtown."
Guy 1: "You won't be able to check all the area in your segment, so focus on asking questions at shops, popular areas, and anyone who seems like a regular in the area. Make sure you check the slums on the outer ring. Try not to appear weird or intrusive - it's possible that people may not give information if they know we are looking for him. Just be honest - tell them you want to meet the guy to see if he has any quests to give."
Guy 1: "If you learn anything, immediately report back using a <
The group splits into 8, and each heads out.

At the item shop guy:
"Excuse me sir, I want to meet this guy (shows the photo) and I'm trying to find information about him. Have you ever met him?"
Item shop guy: "I see a lot of people. But that guy I definitely remember! He didn't use an inventory - instead he had his pockets full of berries, leaves, and sticks from outside of town. He sold them and I haven't seen him since."
"When was this?"
Item shop guy: "Oh it was a little while ago. Maybe around the time new adventurers starting showing up? It's been much busier since then."
"Thank you so much for your help!"
Item shop guy: "You're welcome. Now to business - do you have anything to sell?"

"Sister Maribel, we're looking for someone. We think he might have a quest available, and we're wondering if you know anything about him. Here's a picture."
Sister Maribel's eyes go wide. "Is this the little daemon from the carnival?!?"
"Yes. We're looking for the man with ripped clothes at the bottom of the photo."
Sister Maribel (quietly): "Gabe... I had no idea..."
"Do you know him?"
Sister Maribel: "I do. I've only... met him twice... but both times he did a great deal to make sure the children were protected. Just today he helped us realize that the enchantment on the church had failed."
"What?"
Sister Maribel: "Yes. The church has an enchantment that makes it safe for anyone who enters from all harm. Somehow, the enchantment had failed, and Gabe was able to help us realize that so we could fix the enchantment."
"Do you know where he lives?"
Sister Maribel: "I... don't think he lives in Fountain City... I'm sorry. I think I've said enough. I don't want to betray the trust of someone who has trusted me."
"Thank you Sister Maribel! I'll be back at the church probably sometime next week to play with the children again."
Sister Maribel: "I'll tell the children. I'm sure they'll be excited. Thank you and good luck. And... if you have bad intentions, please... cease whatever it is you want to do."

Gabe:
After spending most of the day working on real life stuff, I log into Dungeon Quest. I appear just outside the church, and enter to the sound of children laughing in one of the side rooms.
I had asked if Lucia could stay inside the church to be safe inside the enchantment. It looks like Sister Maribel and Father Kyrael let her stay in one of the rooms that wasn't often used. Most of the children from the orphanage are here, laughing as Lucia performs tricks.
She's remarkably agile, and apparently she can control which colors burst out when she lands after a jump. Right now she's juggling three different colored balls by racing between them and jumping up to hit them back into the air, shimmering in a color that matches the ball. Most of the time. The laughs come when she shines in a color that is obviously not the one of the ball. And then very obviously misses the ball or sends it arcing toward one of the children, who tosses it back into the air.
Sister Maribel is standing at the back of the room, her face wide with a smile, hiding her laughter behind a hand. Even little Father Kyrael is there.
Gabe (to himself): {This. This is what I want in Dungeon Quest. You don't have to fight battles, or kill monsters. You can just have fun with awesome people, laugh, and make memories. Finally.}
Sister Maribel notices I've walked in the room: "Oh Gabe! You're back!"
"Gabe's back! Gabe's back! Don't take Lucia away! Can we keep her? Please? Please? Please Gabe don't take Lucia please." The children crowd around him.
Gabe: "Lucia makes her own decisions, children. She's not a pet that I or you can keep just because we want to. You should be talking with her, not with me."
The children go quiet and look back at the prismatic slime, who slides between them, and makes a high jump to hit me in the chest. I reflexively put out my arms and catch her, and she gives off a burst of golden light.
Gabe: "I'm glad you're ok too, Lucia. Let's go on an adventure."
Sister Maribel speaks after a moment. "Be careful Gabe. Two people came by the church who were looking for you earlier."
Gabe: "Looking for me?"
Sister Maribel: "Yes. They had a photo of you at the carnival and wanted to find you. They said something about a quest."
Gabe: "Thanks for the warning. Have an awesome day here."
Just then I get a message from Koji: "Hey. Are you back in the game? Can you meet me near the South Gate? I have something to give you, and someone who wants to meet you."
Gabe: "Alright Lucia - let's go on our first adventure together. Step one - be around normal people without them wanting to kill us."
I laugh. Today is a good day.
