"Seal!" FeelingAwesome123 finally cast the spell scroll that he prepared.
[Spell Scroll]
Type: Restriction spell
Name: Seal
Description: Seal and restrict any movements from someone for 10 minutes. It will target and lock onto someone until they are hit and restrained.
Bang!
Multiple glowing chains erupted from the scroll as it headed toward the burrow—where Lyn was in a flash.
Lyn looked at the glowing chains that were coming toward him and felt relief.
Ahhh... Seems like my suffering will end soon huh?
He prepared to stand up and embrace the spell cast upon him with acceptance, but just as he was about to do that, a notification screen appeared before his eyes.
Ding!
[Sudden Quest!]
Description: If you manage to survive and escape the collapsed mining site and also hide away from the eyes of the dragon; you will be given an immense reward!!!
Reward: ???
Penalty for failure: Death and Negative reputation.
???
…What?
Multiple question marks floated around his head as he looked at the system panel in front of him.
What in the world is this? Are you f*cking with me? You really just have to come at the perfect time huh? Are you taking me for a fool?!!!
It was no use complaining and cursing his grievances for he was now in deep sh*t.
He only had an instant to think about what to choose.
Salvation or Money?
Ahem, ahem...
I mean Salvation or Life?
Hmm, choosing salvation is good but...
He looked at the Penalty of failure at the quest panel and immediately made up his mind.
Ok, it's decided! I'll choose money! I mean, I'll choose my life!!!
It's definitely not because of the reward! And also not because I was afraid of the penalty!
Only one second had passed when he was thinking all of this.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
The moment he decided what to do from now on, he immediately rolled sideways, dodging the seal spell.
"Hah! It's useless! If you think you can dodge my spell that easily, how naïve of you!!"
The seal spell that hit the ground suddenly jerked up and tracked Lyn, chasing him persistently.
Lyn: “!?”
Does this thing have a homing system implemented on it?
'This is troublesome' Lyn immediately ran towards a place with many obstacles.
Tearing sounds from the air could be heard as the multiple glowing chains of the seal spell chased him persistently and were seemingly not slowed down by the multiple trees in the surroundings.
"Go!"
The players were long expecting this to happen, so they stationed nearby the forest and hid behind the bushes and trees.
And just as they expected, Lyn came right into their traps!
Lyn wasn't expecting that they were actually expecting him and was surprised by this. But he didn't panic and still continued what he was doing and calmly looked at the players that were ambushing him.
"Geez, I'm only level 2 so why are you guys teaming up..." Lyn grabbed his dagger behind his waist and raised it to block a sword strike, and immediately countered with a kick in the abdomen.
Lyn’s eyes lit up as he realized something:
‘Wait a minute! I can use these guys as scapegoats instead!!’
With this thought in mind, he immediately dashed forward to the players.
The players' in response to this answered with a combined skill attack and every item they can use.
"Take this! Fireball!!!"
"Exploding shuriken!!!"
"Power Slash!!!"
"Magic Missile!!!"
Seeing this barrage of attacks, Lyn responded in turn with an AoE skill.
"Thundering Flash!"
Their attack clashed with each other.
Lyn took this chance to take advantage of the aftermath of the clash and propelled himself up toward a tree.
A player was waiting above the tree when suddenly Lyn popped up and appeared in front of him. He immediately reacted and attacked Lyn with a skill attack.
Swift slash!
Of course, Lyn anticipated it and parried it.
Clank!
The parry was successful, so Lyn reached out his hand and grabbed the player's shoulder, and threw him toward the multiple glowing chains that were chasing him.
Usually, it would be able to dodge it, but because Lyn timed it at such an unusual time they weren't able to react quickly and were forced to make contact with it.
The glowing chains wrapped the player tightly and immediately restricted any movements.
Seeing this, Lyn prayed for the guy who got caught instead and also felt pity for the guy who just wasted his precious spell on someone other than him.
After he did that, he started running away again.
...
"Dammit!" FeelingAwesome123 cursed under his breath. He didn't think that Lyn was able to do this and also didn't consider that he would be able to do this tactic to get away from his spell.
He quickly calmed himself down and reassured himself that there is still another way. He still had one more thing up his sleeve. Just as he was about to do it and show off his ace, the dragon appeared!
"Oh no! The dragon is here! Run!!!"
The dragon opened its mouth and gathered energy between it. It then launched it toward the players without any regard for their feelings whatsoever.
The forest was immediately destroyed and burned by the dragon's breath attack.
A lot of the players also died, but some survived the attack, and one of them was FeelingAwesome123.
"Damn, the dragon is already here? It hasn't even been 5 minutes yet!" FeelingAwesome123 felt indignant as he looked towards the dragon in fear and reverence.
The dragon continued to spam attacks toward the ground using energy blasts, all intending to destroy the environment.
It didn't care whether the environment was destroyed or not, all it cared about was finding Lyn and killing him, so it rampaged everywhere around the area, not even letting other creatures scot-free.
Some monsters and creatures in the forest tried to resist the dragon and threw attacks at it, but it was too weak to even tickle the dragon and they were immediately annihilated by its energy blast.
Lyn heard all the commotion that was happening behind his back, but he didn't turn around and just kept sprinting towards the mountain in front.
His only hope now was the mountain.
"I hope I get lucky this time..." Lyn muttered as he sprinted forward toward the mountain.
