Time went by. The date for the test was approaching. The final year students were having a hard time. It has been almost four weeks since their academic year had started. Within this small time frame, they had literally seen hell. The amount of work they had was 10 times more than what they had during the previous years. This included both physical work during martial class and mental work during other academic subjects. The teachers were becoming really strict. The students were being evaluated at the same standard as army cadets. Their behaviour outside the class were also being evaluated. The social behaviour of final year students outside the school were also being looked at. There was a case where in the previous year, a final year student was denied the implantation of martial seed because of his social behaviour outside the school. He was from a rich family and often showed it off in the school and outside it as well. He drove a vehicle without the authorization. It was a flying automobile, for which special authorization was required. He crashed it into the 5thfloor of an apartment resulting in the death and injury of several people, including children. The government wanted to make an example out of him and he was denied the martial seed implantation. He could not implant martial seed within the Gyagar nation. If he implanted from another country, his citizenship in Gyagar nation will be revoked. But he did exactly that. He went to another nation for the martial seed implantation. It had to be noted that his talent and physique were not that good. If it was, the government would have suppressed this incident.

Ben was having the hardest time of all students. He had been practicing the ‘Agastya Parvam’ for quite a while. He increased the intensity of the exercise resulting in his body becoming sore again after the exercise. But he noticed something. For him the execution of exercise in the martial class was becoming more and more easy. During the practice of martial arts, no student could stand against him. His body had become strong and flexible. His muscles did not have the perfect sculpture like shape. But his body was brimming with energy. His mind had also become sharp. The mental training during the class was helpful for this. Meanwhile, Ben had once invited his friends for a meeting at his house and had given them a part of the exercise. He said he found the exercises from the library and practiced it. The group of friends practiced it together for some time. Ben corrected their mistakes. The effect of that was being felt by them as well. Their stamina and energy had also increased. In fact, there was something similar to this in the library. But that was an inferior version of ‘Agastya Parvam’. But that was the perfect alibi for Ben.

Only two days remained for the test. The entire school was excited about it. Although they would not be able to witness it, its highlight will be recorded and will be sent to the school website. The most important part for the final year students was that they did not have to come to the school on that day. All the students were happy to be out of the school. On that day when Ben was going back home, he saw an announcement in the school forum. This was a personalized message for him and his team mates. The format for the test was finalized. The announcement was as follows:

‘ Mr. Benjamin John,

This announcement is in regard to the second part of your simulation test. This test will not be a simulation but will happen in reality. You and your team mates should report to the SPC in the northern part of the school on the sixth day of this week at morning 9 o’clock. If you are delayed more than 1 minute, you will lose all qualifications you and your team mates would lose all rights to participate in the event.

The event will happen in the specially prepared space fragment. The time period for this test will be 7 days inside the space fragment and 14 hours outside. So, inform your parents accordingly. The theme of the test will be hunting. The 4 teams in the final year of the school will compete by hunting the beasts in the space fragment and surviving there. The final score will be calculated based on the number of creatures killed, survival skills demonstrated, number of team mates remaining, unity of the team etc. Leadership qualities of students will also be examined. There will be risk of injury in the test. But the teachers and guards will prevent any death from happening. A consent form has been sent along with the announcement addressed to you and your parents. Please sign on that and also get you parents’ signature on it. The various medicines required by the students along with the materials for camping will be provided by the school. This is to ensure equality. Only normal clothes appropriate for camping should be brought by the students.’
