With their plan a success, the team was relaxed somewhat. But still they took turns to be on lookout at night. Some flamma lupis which were on the other side of the stream were also killed that night. The team got ready for their morning activities. If not, they will come again. We can use two of the dead beoufs for that.” Roshin asked, “Will they eat dead animals?” Rais said, “They will. They are not that picky like the leo.” Jim said “We will then have 1 dead beoufs and 6 live beoufs left. After this we will have to hunt again for food. Although I did see some edible plants nearby.” Saarsh added, “If we are not able to find something after we kill the flamma lupis, we will go with the vegetarian diet.” After coming up with a plan the group moved to the other side of the stream to find the place of the pack. The team had secured 50 points by killing 5 lupis at night. They were the leading team with 250 points. Behind them was a team headed by a guy called Evan with 180 points followed by Jane’s team with 150 points. The last place had 100 points and was headed by a girl called Marin. Of them they had to be on look out for Jane’s team. She was the daughter of a media tycoon. A very bad one. She had the nasty personality of her father, who was a crook. He blackmailed many politicians and won favors from them. His daughter Jane had his personality and used any means to get what she wanted. She was accompanied by a group of lackeys, Vinsor, Ann, Tresa and Jerome. They were also equally problematic bunch. Ben’s group did not want to do anything with them. Evan and Marin had quite positive reputation.

Soon they found the burrows of the flamma lupis. They did not go near it. Lupis of any type had excellent capabilities to smell and hear. The team did not want themselves to be found out. They were going to be a bit cruel here. They made a pit near the dead beoufs they used to capture the hunters of the pack. They also made a makeshift net using the ropes from the forest. For the ones that escape even after that they planned to kill them using the energy guns. They made the pits and erased their smells using some herbs. Poison could not be used against them because they had excellent olfactory senses and they would know it. They did not have any poison that was odorless and colorless. Hence, they used this crude method. The team waited patiently. Soon the flamma lupis came out of their places and began to walk in the direction of the bait. They saw it. The more experienced leader looked around and sniffed. The leader send a group of 10 lupis ahead. There was a total of 30 hunters now. The rest were in their burrows. As the 10 neared the bait all 10 of them fell into the pit with spikes and were instantly killed. The rest of them panicked. The leader looked around. Suddenly its head was blasted. The rest of the lupis were stunned by this . Ben and his team used the nets to capture another group of a 10. They were unable to run and were struggling inside the nets. The team shot the rest with unerring accuracy. Now that the main force was down, they were going to their burrows. It was going to be ruthless, but the team needed points. They used the beast bags to capture the ones inside the nets. They reached the place where rest of the pack was there. It consisted mainly of females and little ones. They used the smoke from fire to get the creatures out. The females and the little ones came out. Ben said “Guys I really can’t kill those little ones. We will just kill some females and the rest of the males.” Saarsh said “Yeah, we will do that.” Everyone agreed. They began to shoot at the bigger ones which were males. They killed some females as well. The rest of the pack were spared. Soon they were on their way to their camp. They had hidden their camp using some make shift materials. That was why all of them came for hunting. On the way they captured some kanins and ciervos. They cautiously came near the cave of the leo and gave it all the flamma lupis they captured along with 3 beoufs. Soon it came out and ate it. They had also captured a few kanins alive. It was also given to the leo. It seems to have been satisfied. They came back to their campsite. Their score was now about 800. Because flamma lupis were carnivores and because they lived in packs, killing them fetched the team quite some points. They now had a lead of more than 500 pints from the second place that is Evan’s team.
