Preparations, Harmony and Resonance

For the next 5 days Ben was in full swing. He was completing his assignments and studies, along with his exercises. The 3 chapters of Agastya Parvam were being practiced by Ben like there was no tomorrow. He also trained in ‘Jamadagni Bhavana’. His mental faculties were at its peak, so were his physical abilities. He was getting a bit tired. The school works along with the martial class had become tedious. A lot of papers had to be submitted. A lot of assignments had to be completed. These assignments were not something that could be completed by merely collecting information or by copying from others. Each of these assignments required thinking from the part of the students. That was why these works were so much tough.

Ben’s strength, speed and other physical faculties had improved substantially over the past months. His concentration was also on a different level. Even with all those, he was having a tough time completing the assignments. He remembered what the principal said today :

‘ Dear students of final year, I know that all of you are overwhelmed by the workload. I empathize with you and do understand that it is too much for you. But believe me when I say this, whatever work you land in will be 10 times more tougher than this. You will be pushed to the extremes of your physical and mental limits. There it will not be just reduction of marks and small punishments. You will be court martialled if the work you did is not up to the standard.

Now this is a knowledge which you know. Since, you are almost adults now, let me add something to that knowledge. Our Gyagar country is surrounded by enemies from all sides. Not only our territory in this planet, but our territories outside is also surrounded by enemies. Due to our democratic nature and the fact that no dictatorship has ever come to power in our country, our land has inadvertently prospered. While other nations fought amongst themselves, we stood united and thus our nation grew, technologically, socially, financially and in terms of martial strength. We invented many things, our population grew in both quality and quantity. At one point in time we were a slave nation. But we rose above those slavers.

All these has attracted a lot of envious and coveting gazes at our territories. Our land in this planet and other planets are filled with very vital natural resources. Although the geography is not a problem when it comes to commerce due to rise in technology and novel transportation ways, natural resources still is dependant on geography. For all these reasons there has been a lot of efforts by our enemies to sabotage our country.

This is where all of you come in. Each of you represent a part of this country’s destiny. Our forefathers left this nation for us to thrive in. It is our responsibility to look after it and make it thrive. It will take immense effort from all of us to do that.

So, my dear students, strive, struggle and ultimately you will come on top. Our nation will come on top.’

The speech was inspiring, but the work given was not. He did feel like he wanted to do many things for the country. But when work was given, he had second thoughts.

The meditation exercise, ‘Jamadagni Bhavana’ had a kind of soothing effect. After practicing it, he only needed 5 hours of sleep or even less for all the fatigue to go away. His senses were also at its peak. Ben had read about the working of brain and had some knowledge of it. He imagined that his brain had undergone a rewiring. Although there are many neurons in brain, their interconnection depend on hoe you utilize it. Based on utilization, some neurons may become redundant. He was under the impression that due to meditation all these neurons had become activated and hence his mind power had increased.

Now he was trying another way. He had moved his practice to a more secluded part of the town. He was practicing the exercises of ‘Agastya Parvam’ while meditating on ‘ Jamadagni Bhavana’. When he first successfully did this, he felt an area around him was under his control. When he looked around, he could see some animals staring at him. Not only animals, but some birds and insects also were looking at him. After that incident he went a lot far from where he normally did his exercise. He could feel that some thing in him was stirring up. Whenever he walked or was doing something, he felt as though he was in harmony with everything. With the air, with the water, with the animals, with the humans, with the time-space itself. He felt connected with all these. He had heard of hermits who relinquish everything they own and go on pilgrimage in pursuit of inner peace and harmony. But what he was experiencing was something beyond that. He was strangely feeling connected to the entire world and to the universe.

‘Is this what teacher talked about, the resonance thing? Who knows, let me complete my work. Urgh, when will this get over.’ There was only 2 days for the implantation procedure. Tomorrow was a weekend and surprisingly the final year students did not have class. But there was a lot to do. The day after he had to go for the procedure. He was about to wind up his works for the day. That was when he saw the ‘ Saptarshi Samhita’. He thought to look through it once more. There was still blood in his hands after the exercises. Tomorrow evening he would be using a healing solution provided by the district. It will help to eliminate almost all hidden injuries. Also, tomorrow he will not be working out.

He still had bleeding callouses in his palm. He began to flip through the book just like that. While flipping through, he found another page that he had not seen. It was just after the ‘Jamadagni Bhavana’.

The name of the next chapter was ‘ Vasishta Vachanam’. It was more of a description. It looked gibberish to Ben. He could not understand a thing. Its first line was more of a hum and was written as ‘Om, Om, Om’. The rest all, he could not understand. He stared at it for some time. Still nothing. He was about to close the book. Suddenly something jolted in his head. He felt the world spinning. He felt he was spiralling around. Then he entered a comfortable state. He felt the world around him. He felt his clothes. He felt the floor. He felt his room. He felt the entire house. He felt his city. He felt his land. He felt the stars and then ultimately the universe. He was in ecstatic state where he was one with everything. His breathing was erratic at first. It was out of balance. But slowly. It became rhythmic. It began to gain a uniform pattern. Ben did not know whether his breathing was in harmony with the universe, or whether the universe became harmonious to his breathing. But he was sure of one thing. He had discovered his resonant breathing pattern. Deep down in his mind he knew that he did not have to invent another breathing pattern and visualization method for the furthering of his martial arts. He was in an extremely harmonious state. His hidden problems and injuries were being transformed too. He was being transformed to a new being. Some thing that no other marthya could dream about. Ben continued to be in this state for about 8 hours. In the morning he woke up a bit late. But he felt really refreshed as he was born again. He was really happy for some reason.
