While traveling around the world I heard an interesting story about a monster attacking a small village.

What was interesting was that it had appeared out of seemingly nowhere in area the was supposed to be monster free,and after it was finally caught at looked like nothing anybody seen before.

Nobody could figure out what it was or how it got there.

Even i-who had traveled the entire world and seen all it had to offer- never know about it.

Something about this smalls fishy.

And so it was decided that I would personally give that village a visit.

I didn't bring anyone with me in the chance that there are more monsters nearby.

Walking through the rough terrain surrounded by hills I am reminded of how there are still things about this place that i don't know about.

Sadly before I could reach philosophical enlightenment, I was rudely cut by a group of three monsters entering my field of view.

They were another species I haven't seen before,which only confirmed my suspicion.

They looked humanoid with gray skin and sharp claws.

Quickly raning toward one of them and stabing it in the neck with my newly gotten sword before it could react.

The others try to rush me at once, I block one of them with my sword,with the other one hiting my chest leaving a deap wound.

I drive my sword into the latter's skull before easily subduing the former.

I expected something strong since they were so mysterious, but that was anticlimactic.

they mindlessly changed at me leading to an easy victory,

I cast my magic at the surviving monster,and it displayed an unexpected resistance,but that only made the process take longer.

Now with a new scout/meatshield I moved forward with this mission.

It only toke a few weeks to check the whole area, along the way I met a lot of new and unseen before monsters, they either died or fell under my control.

And using the position and direction of these monsters I was able to find out that they all appeared from the exact same point.

So with a small a army behind me I went to figure out What’s behind this mess.

And when i reached it I saw a beautiful 'gate' made of ashen stone in the shape of an arch.

It's insides we're completely black as if someone took a piece of the void and put it there.

And before I could continue to marvel at it something came out of that void.

The only way I could describe it was a mix between a loin and a bear but bigger, much bigger and with with skin that made it look like it burned alive to top it off.

The following battle cost me the majority of the puppets I had just for the thing to run back into the 'gate'.

At lest now with the immediate threat gone I can properly inspect this, thing.

I started with it's physical part, it had engravings all over it, one of which was a numeral on the top, intentionally designed to stand out.

Some sort of number maybe,perhaps there is more than a one of these things,I should get on looking for anything similar later.

A quick look around revealed that the 'gate' wasn't connected to anything.

Now for the big test.

I pushed my hand through the void.

It passed through like there was nothing in the way, so I tried walking through,same results.

So I can't get through for some reason.

Just to make sure it wasn't just me I had my puppets throw a bunch of different things inside, inanimate and living.

They all passed through.

So it's just me.

It appears who ever put me wants me to stay here.

Which brings me to the last thing to test.

Can a puppet get to the other side.

I held my breath as the puppet walked into the void under my control.

It worked.

The image transmitted to me through the puppet's eyes looked straight out of hell with Lave flowing like rivers and the ground made of rocks in various shades of gray.

But that didn't matter.

I did it,I DID IT.

I give up on finding other people a long time ago.

But with this I could finally-

My happiness was cut short as a terrible feeling entered my brain.

This is wrong.

this is wrong,this is wrong,this is wrong this is wrong,this is wrong,this is wrong.

THIS IS WRONG.

The feeling continued until I cut my connection with puppet.

I sat down while the feeling slowly disappeared.

I should thought about this , of course someone who could put me in this place and make me immortal would make a countermeasures in case I fond a loophole.

Still I wasn't discouraged ,I had all of eternity to waste.

Since no one beside me can use magic I should probably make them focus on science more.

Speaking of others, the incident I had caused them to freeze for a few seconds,this going to be a nightmare to patch up.

I should also gave them set up camp around this 'gate' to catch any monster coming out of it.

A castle should do.
