I sat down on the ground, feeling the rough sand under my legs.
In front of me was the open sea stretching for a few miles before suddenly stopping on a wall of fog that made it impossible to see anything beyond it.
Or maybe there isn't a anythingat all, and all that on the other side is an empty void.
i should probably begin from the start.
I'm an average man, I worked for the local theater group, it wasn't the most glorious job,nor the best paying one,but it was fun.
i was on my way back home from work when i heard a deafening sound coming from above, when i looked up i saw a giant tower falling from the sky,and before i could question how did it get up there or how it didn't collapse under the pressure yet, it collided with the ground, and everything went black.
and when I opened my eyes again I was in the the middle of an open field sitting against a tree.
I, of course, immediately panicked and started screaming for help or trying to convince myself that this was a bad dream,by the time I calmed down and started accepting reality the sun was already setting down.
So I went to sleep-which in hindsight wasn't the best idea-only to wake up in the middle of the night with a wolf baiting into my throat.
Though I didn't know at the time, those were no ordinary wolf's, they were what commonly referred to by fantasy stories as 'monsters', more specifically assassin wolf ,who specialized in stealth and sneak attacks.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
I instinctively punched it in the face, causing it to retreat back in surprise.
Without the wolf fur covering my eyes I could clearly see that I was Seronded by more wolf's - naturally, wolf's travel in packs - all of were barring their fangs at me.
Without a way to escape I did the only thing I could, fight.
to spare you the gruesome details, it didn't go well, I couldn't deal any damage to a monster with my bare hands,my opponents on the other hand didn't have such problems.
There wasn't a spot on my body that wasn't covered in injuries, I was more a fountain of blood than a human ,seeing that I was still standing the wolf's decided that I wasn't worth the effort and left.
As for how i lived after that ,it simple, I can't die, I bled out that night until I didn't have a single drop of blood left, stil woke up the next day.
And it wasn't just that, death by starvation, disease, suffocation ,it wasn't like I was invincible or could infinity regenerate,I was still effected by the exhaustion of not eating for months or the pain of having my brain blown off,I just, wouldn't die.
I still have no idea how or why,I just came to accept it with time.
Anyways, moving on, there really wasn't anything worth mentioning for the next few months,I wondered around aimlessly looking for any signs of civilization.
I fond none, with infinite time on my hands I started methodically search this 'world' for anything sighs of how i got here and how to get back.
And that takes us back here,to the present, after spending countless years, I finally looked through this place -the majority of it at least - and discovered the following:
-this place isn't that big, if I had to make a rough comparison then I'd say it's around the size of the Arabian peninsula.
-the 'world' is encased in an Impenetrable fog wall a few miles off the shore.
-despite its small size this place has a really diverse range of biomes and creatures.
-out of said creatures the most noteworthy of which are what I creatively named monsters, they are physically stronger than what's possible, and some of them have strange abilities that don't make sense, both of which I attribute to the mysteries force called magic.
-I still know little about magic, After all I don't have any convenient wizard to teach me, and I can't exactly ask the monsters about it either, so I'm stuck with what I find myself.
Sadly there was no clue on what is this place and how to get back.
I lay down on my back and think of what to do next.
With this I can confidently say that I'm the only person in this world, which technically makes me the best person in the world.
Though anyone who saw me on my first day here would probably love to disagree.
Think back about it is making feel nostalgic,I should go check on that place.
With my next destination decisided I got back on my feet and started walking.
