Tick promptly began to dole out the ammo to everyone as they got ready. She showed Tom two large metal boxes with adjustable straps. The linkless feed system for microgun didn't take to long to learn how to use. Now that they were all kited out, Tock asked Tom a reasonable question.
"Sr. how are we going to get you to the SUV without being seen?"
Tom vanished from sight as a retort. She observed the empty spot he was last seen with an oh. Zabel walked round Tom and turned to face everyone.
"We will walk in a line with me off to the side. Sr. stay behind me so no one bumps into you."
No one could identify any problems with this set up and got into formation to march out. Passing by the MAX suits in the vehicle pool, Tom mental asked Zabel.
'So, anyone in the squad that can operate one of them?'
'Sr. we can't take one.'
'That's not a no. Who is it?'
'If one goes missing, the base will be put into lockdown Sr.'
'Its you right?'
'We don't have anywhere to put it in the SUV Sr.'
'I could-'
'Sr. it's not going to work. If you use magic, you will kill its computers.'
Eyeballing one as he walked by.
'Soon.'
Zabel flicked a light backwards slap at his leg as she walked.
'Sr. would you stop thinking about me running round in it and blowing stuff up. One day, ok?'

'Ok...'
She ignored her squadmates snickering about something. When they got to their high-profile vehicle, Zabel told them she was going to inform the chief quartermaster they were going to take the SUV out of Gun Tower. When she returned from that undertaking, she sat next to Tom with Jester on the other side of him. Tock passed her the CB radio and she asked HQ to open the door to let them out. There was some confusion in the voice as they respond.
"Beta-6, we don't have your itinerary or orders, over."
Zabel explain what happened in the cafeteria and that she was going to the private shipyard to seek Tom out.
"Understood Beta-6. Happy hunting, over."
In the background as HQ approved the green light for the mission, Xia could be heard yelling furiously.
"I want that company bought out right-"
The large hangar door began rose up from the ramp and Silent put the SUV it into gear. As they drove along the well-worn road, Tom remarked thoughtfully.
"You know, we should go to the drydock at some point this week."
Tick asked why from her minigun turret and he describe the events of his last day there. When he got done, Jester stated bluntly.
"Someone made a terrifying rock of doom and he is my boss."
Silent commented wryly as she turned onto the highway.
"Yeah, I'm changing my S-word to Tock's."
