Day Seven: Part one

Day Seven: Part one

Tom's eye shot open. He was in a room with a low ceiling and one window. Drak blue light overran the room as the light revealed stone walls. Turning his head to look outside and seeing an under water seen of a coral reef. Forcing himself to set up in the bed made of pillows and blankets. His clothes were clean and in a neat pile on the table next to him. Much to his dismay, this included his boxers. Before he could do anything about this, the door opened and June came inside with a food tray. She had a big smile, but Tom could tell she didn't get any sleep. They tried to say something at the same time, but then he proceed on.

"June, thank you for taking care of me. Now, get in bed and get some sleep."

She headed him the tray and got under the blankets next to him. It was as if he cast a sleeping spell on her. As soon as her back hit against his hip, she was asleep. He did feel a bit uncomfortable being naked next to her, but he did see her like this. He didn't have a lot of groud to complain and started to eat. Getting out of bed after eating, he had to hunch down to get dressed. Picking up the tray and walking outside the room, Tom found himself at the end of a long hallway. More doors run along both sides of it. At the other end, the hallway opened up to a large room and the noise of a lot of work being done. Walking down it, he stopped to see there was about twenty or so gnomes and man working on a long metal framework. Feeling a small finger poking his knee and looking down to find a annoyed face looking up at him.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

"Oh, hey chief."

Her expression didn't change.

"The kitchen is over here."

Tom followed after her as she walked in between heavy equipment and materials. Yelling over a noisy metal grinder, Tom asked.

"What are you guys working on?"

Tapping an ear and shaking her head, Tom waited to get in the mess hall to ask again.

"We are working on a submarine for under water construction."

Ideals ran in and out of his mind and he ended up getting lost in thought. Something hit on the knee and got his head out of the clouds.

"Hey wizard, you ok up there?"

Smiling at her, he asked.

"Did you come up with the design for it?"

Some how looking more annoyed.

"Yes and no. My sisters and I came up with the schematics.

Putting on a thinking face as he asked.

"Is there any way I can get all of you in a room to ask some questions?"

Her expression changed to one of surprise.

"All thirteen of us?"

He looked down in shock and then said.

"You maybe small, but you don't look like rabbits."

She kicked him in the shin.
