KillPrinsX opened her eyes and slowly turned her head towards the the overwhelming halitosis, finding that it was only a humongous black furred wolf!
She jumped so fast that she hit another wolf five feet away!
The playful barking started, the real meaning of those barks being, “Food! Food! Time to play with the food!”
The wolf she landed on latched onto her arm. She tried to run but the bite was strong!
Charlotte the spider wasn’t too far away and jumped onto the wolf biting her, causing it to release immediately, and collapse three seconds later.
The wolves surrounded them, wary of any counter attacks, deciding who will bite first, slowly circling in, occasionally one jumping forwards to test their prey.
KillPrinsX didn’t waste time. She cast a few Buffs under her breath and pulled out a bone dagger. She had the smarts to put up her shield as well, hoping their bites wouldn’t go through that.

The tides have turned. She lastly summoned a drop of Neurotoxin onto her dagger and lunged towards the nearest wolf.
The wolf dodged, having a much higher agility, and KillPrinsX swiped, lunged and swiped again, trying to connect. After good attempt at berserking, she had finally nailed one, causing it’s imminent death in just a few seconds.
Meanwhile, Charlotte had kept busy playing a game of chicken, dodging, attacking, feigning. Finally going through with a powerful strike, narrowly missing, but using the wolf’s back as a launch pad to jump into a nearby tree, clambering up to wait…
The wolves had now seen KillPrinsX efficiently kill their friend. They were anxious to get rid of her now. Warily, one or two started an advance, but retreated quickly. It wasn’t until the pack leader had barked his orders that the circle of wolves closed fast, and they jumped at her all at once.
The regret was their’s. One bite after another, KillPrinsX suffered each, being knocked back, shield depleting, but keeping up with the damage. The wolves howled in pain as the fire from her Phoenix Skin Buff scorched their mouths.
Your shield has broke. 5 seconds before you can summon another Mana Shield.
Now the battle turned quickly in her favor. She got up in a flash, attacking with her dagger, quickly taking down another three wolves.
Two more to go and the pack leader, undamaged, letting the soldiers do their work. He watched, away from the fight, barking orders to stop whining and get to killing.
She understood the message, but hardly put any attention to it.

She burst Bloodsucker on one, causing him to whimper in pain as she quickly downed his health, close but no kill.
She burst the other, before he could attack, but momentum carried him forwards as he came at her, mouth wide open.
KillPrinsX dodged, and dodged well, leaving only her armed hand for the wolf to meet as the bone dagger slammed into his neck.
That one died, the other had gotten up and was being nagged by the pack leader to finish the fight.
Finish it she would.
They were at a standoff. The wolf not daring to attack, KillPrinsX ready to defend.
She hardly waited, Fireball!
The wolf took the hit, the blast being much bigger aided by Phoenix Skin, and fire spread like napalm.
From behind the explosion the pack leader had pounced.
KillPrinsX was caught off guard and only used her knife as a shield, which the he easily evaded coming in savagely, biting at her feet and trying to get her to loose her comforting kill streak.
She was scared… but she can’t be. She has all the advantages. Fire aura—the ultimate physical defense— and Attacks to kill any medium sized animal at least.
She tried to calm herself, waiting for the pack leader to bite and only recoil with fire damage. There was a decision to make: what attack to use. The bone dagger was a bit too slow, but maybe she could…
The wolf attacked and lay his teeth into her arm. It didn’t feel the flames. He shook and shook, tearing up her arm and making her fall.
The attack had done just 100 damage, taking her HP nearly down to half! And the wolf wasn’t done, he savagely bit at her side and sunk his teeth in! He wriggled and shook, setting his teeth in deeper…
Suddenly the bite released and a notification had came across her vision.

You have defeated Pack of Black Wolves. 100 XP bonus.

100 XP bonus for Charlotte’s kill (x2)
She didn’t look at the details, instead, wondered about her health being where it is, drastically low. Well, not so bad, but lower than comfortable. Especially if another attack like this might happen too soon.
She played with the idea of using her one and only health potion. But there weren’t any enemies around now, she could just let it take its time to regen. But those bites did leave a little sting. Not that this game had real pain involved when getting attacked, there were still odd sensations that only tingled when she was bleeding and bruised all along her arms, and especially when she happened to have teeth marks bleeding out on her torso.
She put all that aside and checked what else might be in her inventory. There were just a few elk steaks, with a Neurotoxin drop next to them.
She ate a couple, feeling a bit better and adding a few more drops to her poison pool.
Now that she had calmed herself just a bit, she went to go check out the damage, maybe some loot?
She looked out, surprisingly, the wolves hadn’t disappeared into smoke. Instead they were charred where they had been burnt. But otherwise wholly intact.
She tried poking one, picking it up, feeling it all over. There wasn’t anything to loot.
Then another thought. She’d actually have to cut them up and cook their meat, maybe make a Black Wolf hide as a coat… like a real Howler!
She quickly got to work, cutting up a few of those wolves.
Soon she had a good pile of meat and needed a fire.
She put some wood together and shot a fireball at it. The wood came to life.
She threw the meat on… but quickly had the problem of properly cooking it.
Boy, this game was realistically hard!
She had to figure out how to cook while in the middle of the forest and not burn the meat. It wouldn’t automatically jump onto a stick and start rotating itself!
After a while she had the realization that some of her Buffs might help with that.
She used Ice Hands, now being able to reach into the fire.
She flipped the meat over and was able to successfully handle it without much more than loosing a few HP. Sure she had the skill, but she was still putting her hands into a fire.
Soon enough she had a whole cart load of steaks, just small enough to fit into her pockets, all vanishing into her inventory.
She now had 40 plain wolf steaks and 20 more with the poison icon.
That should be enough to keep up with any future damage, but they apparently didn’t work as well as pure health potions. She let it regen, being half filled already.
The rest of the day, Else was sleeping and KillPrinsX tried to sleep, but every sound still made her jump, and she couldn’t manage to close her eyes for more than a minute without freaking out about that wolf incident.
The sun had set on this frightening day. But there wasn’t much you could do when you asked to be a Vampire and you’re scared of the forest. The forest should be scared of you.
Else had come out of her coffin the second the sun had set. She stretched. “So,” she asked cheerily, “how was your day? Did you manage to sleep?”
KillPrinsX would have laughed if all that had just happened, didn’t just happen.
