Quest Time!

Day 4 Default 5

KillPrinsX arrived to the Forest Village. It looked almost like any village one might encounter in any other game; Trees, villages houses, and shops. There were more specialized shops here, potions shops, eateries, a village square, and plenty of houses.

She had a few gold left and figured she might as well get some potions before things weren’t terribly wrong.

68 gold was all she had left, so came back, 65 gold less, with an HP regen potion.

She stuffed that in her pocket and put it in her items slot for quick use.

Now it’s time to get all that gold back, and get some XP. Quest time!

She walked around, looking for NPCs. It didn’t take long to find one. It was an obvious one, old Granny was trying to pull her wheel barrow around, but was having quite a time with all the stones loaded in. It was literally a wagon full of stones, don’t ask her why.

KillPrinsX came up and the Granny asked her to help. She replied yes, and got a prompt.

Wagon of Stones

Old Granny is trying to make it home with a wagon of stones. It’s just too much for Old Granny. Help her out! Pull the wagon to Granny’s house and receive your reward.

KillPrinsX took hold of the wagon’s handle and pulled. OMG! It was heavy, and she had to get to the other side of the village, which just happened to be all up hill.

Well, gotta do it! She pulled and pulled, not even half a fast as old Granny. After a minute she realized what the problem was. Her Strength was at 5. It shouldn’t have been that bad. 5 isn’t low… for a small girl. But still! That wagon was heavy!

She divided 10 Skill Points straight into her Strength: Pull: Legs, and Arms attribute. Something those Skill Points could be put to use for, almost universal those thing are. Now she started pulling, and after another minute only found her Stamina running down, it wasn’t too low, but it sure took its toll. She just kept pulling and pulling, finally making it halfway through the village and finding that she really needed a rest, her Stamina was actually below 10. But then a thought occurred, maybe just grinding could level up some attributes. So she did.

She kept pulling, but a bit more strategically now. Pull, wait, pull, wait. She got a rhythm going and, though it was super slow and laborious, she got to the house. And not a second too late, ding!

Old Granny was there already, of course, and was happy to receive her rocks. The old lady smiled and flipped her a coin. KillPrinsX caught it with a cha-ching. That one coin turning into 20 gold in her bank.!

The Old Granny smiled, “Thanks for all the hard work kiddo. I’ll give you something for all that pulling.” She handed KillPrinsX a green vial. KillPrinsX didn’t even have to look at it to know it was a Stamina potion. She put it in her pocket and it disappeared to sit next to the HP potion and the Tome in her inventory.

Apparently the Granny wasn’t done. “And because you’re such an honest soul, and didn’t steal any of… my precious… stones. I’ll give you one for free. Here.”

Granny took one out of the wagon and handed it to KillPrinsX. When she first looked at it, the only indicator that she had was that it had said Stone. She gave a smile that you’d only give to crazy people when they give you strange and worthless things. “Thanks,” she said, and pocketed it.

Quest: Wagon of Stones completed.

Achievement unlocked! Complete a mini quest. “Boy! Was that hard work.”

KillPrinsX walked off looking for more quests.

She walked around a bit watching all the usual forest village stuff and admiring the developer’s work on making the houses and trees… until some man came running out of the trees yelling, “Help! A monster has my girlfriend! Help!”

Well, there was a quest if there ever was one. It was definitely an NPC. And sure enough about a hundred feet into the trees was a monster jumping up and down on top of his NPC girlfriend.

KillPrinsX ran over there, checking out what attack spells to use. She first cast Earth Caster and then Stone, getting ready to throw. She used Analyze quickly.

Forest Imp Level 5

Imps are prone to casting magic, and while not a directly dangerous monster alone; in numbers or with an attack group, they can be very annoying.

That gave her enough to know that this would be an easy kill. She threw the stone while running and managed to take a bit of health… and really just distract it.

She wasn’t worried though. She followed up with HP Leech, siphoning off some serious HP for a good five seconds.

The Imp started towards her, hopping and clawing at the ground like weird monsters do.

KillPrinsX wasn’t phased by its weirdness. She toggled Focus and threw another stone, getting a critical hit on his head. The Imp was dazed and fell back for a moment while KillPrinsX cast HP Leech again. That was all it took, and the Imp died, vanishing into a black wisp and and whole 5 gold.

The girlfriend woke up from her strange tea bagging incident. The man who was screaming just a minute ago walked up politely and thanked KillPrinsX. “I don’t know what I would’ve done if I’d lost her! That thing had just come out of nowhere and attacked …seeming to get some sexual pleasure from crouching up and down…” He gave a disgusted shiver. “But here. All is fine now, and I think you deserve this.” He flipped a coin and it landed in KillPrinsX’s hand with a cha-ching! 50 gold! She was feeling proud now!

She was about to walk away when the man kept talking. “Hey, you know. If there’s one Imp, there has to be more somewhere. Why don’t you go and find their nest, clean them out and make it safe for all the rest of us.”

A quest prompt arrived on her screen this time.

Den of Imps

You have just saved a girl from being… “attacked” by a Forest Imp. Rumor has it that there’s a nest of them nearby. Find them and clean them out.

KillPrinsX accepted the quest. This was looking like something fun.

Achievement unlocked. Accept a minor quest. “This looks like it going to be fun!”
